      On September 15, 2022, 2 salesmen came to my home to give me an estimate. After about 90 minutes of looking over home and the sales pitch, I was given an installed price of $11,431.54. Then as went the price of material the new price was $21. ****** a difference of $10,259.04. I told him the price was too high, it was more than my roof it it was a complete tear off. He gave me a credit of $3,754.58. leaving a balance of $17,936. I charged $5,000.00 on my credit card and had a balance of $12, 936. The installers couldn't install a section over my awning and deducted $1,794.00 from the price. The new balance is $11,142. I took the information to my friend that does Home Equity Lines of Credit. I also ask about cashing in my CD as emergency. That's when I found out i was charge twice for materials. The installed price was the true price. I called Leaf Guard and the run around, After reading several reviews on BBB site, I found a senior citizen and a widow had the same situation I have and other customers questioning the truth and pricing. I saw the Customer Review Rating was 1.43/5 of 212 reviews. I feel this company is a predator exploiting people.

      General Manager, ********** reached out to customer on 11/28/22 to acknowledge ******************** complaint and ask what he could do to help her. Customer responded by expressing belief that she was being charged twice for everything. *** explained that the LeafGuard system installed on her home consisted of the gutter itself and several other parts/pieces that were billed separately. *** reminded customer that the ********************** system was built to last the lifetime of the home and reminded her of the warranties available to her. LeafGuard is very much inclined to help remedy any issues with the system, and that is why we have over 2 million customers. *** expressed that he is happy to go over the bill with her and address any concerns the customer had about being overcharged. She declined and told *** that he had the wrong person, that she knew her rights, and wanted to be reimbursed $10,000. *** explained that he cannot reimburse the customer $10,000 as she had not been overcharged. Each item is listed on her contract, and *** would be more than happy to walk the customer through that. Customer declined and hung up the phone. *** had spoken with this customer on 10/13/22 when he explained to her the same thing then, that the gutter system installed is the actual gutter itself. The Downspouts, big mouths and other added features had a separate line item. On 10/13 she acknowledged that she understood.

      9/19/2022 entered into a contract to have Leaf Guard installed on my house. Cost was $18,309.00 . 1/3 was required down $6,042.00 a check was written for this amount. On 9/20/2022 called *********************, manager and cancelled the contract. One of the items given me was a notice of cancellation , which stated "any negotiable instrument executed by you will be returned within TEN BUSINESS DAYS following receipt by seller of your cancellation notice. Mailed 9/20/2022 the signed cancellation .10/3/2022 was the 10th business day since cancellation and no check in the mail or any calls from Leaf Guard about it. Called 10/3/2022 to **************** about there being no refund check or any calls from him. **************** stated that there finance office was in ********** and was closed now. He stated that the possibility of an overnight mail could be done to get the check to me the fastest. **************** said he would call me the next day about the check. 10/4/2022 at 3 pm with no call , I called **************** . Now he stated he had just signed a voucher to be sent to ********** for the refund. That meant nothing was done on getting the refund back prior to 10/4/2022. When I asked him if the 10 business days to get the refund back was a law or a company policy he failed to give me an answer. When asked when would the refund check get here he said maybe by 10/7/2022. Having been lied to about this matter I have NO FAITH in what **************** says to be about it.Have never had to do this before but I am doing it now.

      LeafGuard is offering a $100 gift card for listening to their in-home sales pitch. I had a guy come out and give me an exorbitant quote of $9200 (down from $13000 with all the "bells and whistles") for 127 linear feet of gutter on a 1 story house. I listened to his sales pitch and was told that I'd get the gift card. That was back in May. It is now October and I still haven't received the gift card.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      Shortly after filing this complaint on Monday, ************************* called me to tell me he would hand deliver the advertised gift card on Tuesday.  Tuesday at 5:15pm he told me he was running late and asked if I'd be home for a while.  I had a family dinner at 6pm, so I would only be home for 30 more minutes.  I told him he could leave the card in my mailbox if he couldn't get there in time.  He was reluctant to do so as he wanted to hand deliver the card and asked if I'd be available the following morning.  I told him I had an appointment but should be home around 9-9:30 and would be home the rest of the day.  He said he'd come by then.  He didn't show up and hasn't contacted me.  

      I appreciate the communication and effort, but until LeafGuard follows through on their advertisement, I cannot accept the resolution.  I expect that they will contact me again shortly after I hit submit on this form.

      I purchased a Leafguard gutter system which was installed in September 2021. They are supposed to have 100% guaranteed satisfaction policy and free lifetime service. The original installation was not done according to the contract. They have continued to schedule a service and reinstall for the past year but they still have not shown up when scheduled, most recently on Monday, Sept 26 2022. They did not show up or call to cancel even after I talked to the regional manager and was assured it wouldn't happen again. My house has sustained water damage due to the improperly installed gutters. I no longer trust them to come and make the repairs. I want a refund so I can hire someone local to come and fix the problem.

      Mr. ******** initial complaint came in on 9/19/22.  He had been trying to get ahold of a previous ** to no avail.  The new ** called ****************** at 9:07am on the 19th and addressed his concern.  The customer told him at that time that the gutters were not functioned properly.  He sent a video of his gutters in the rain which showed the problem.  The ** spoke with his production manager, and he called ****************** on the 19th and let him know we could make it out by next Monday the 26th . 

      On the 26th it was realized that there was a scheduling error, and they could not make it out by end of business on 26th.  The ** was unable to get ahold of ****************** before he filed the complaint that evening.  The very next day, 9/27, The ** called ****************** several times leaving messages every time.  The ** decided that a site visit was the best course of action to address and fix all of their problems.  The ***************** met with ******************* not he 27th.  She gave us permission to be on the property and make the necessary repairs to ensure system functions properly.  During the repairs ****************** arrived at the residence but did not to speak with the crew.  All communication was done through ********************  ******** added the proper buildout to the fascia at no charge and completely rehung the entire gutter system.  When the job was done, they asked ****************** if she wouldnt mind checking over the job to see it was done to their satisfaction.  ******************* let us know that she was pleased with the work and look of the new system.  The managers have tried reaching out several times to ****************** since then who has not returned any calls.  Today, 9/28/22, they called 3 additional times trying to get ahold of ****************** to confirm his satisfaction of the completed project.  He has not returned any calls and was sent a personal email at 12:45 today, 9/28/22, to try and make contact.  Currently we have received no communication back from *******************  We will continue to try and reach out to see if he has any additional concerns.  This has been resolved.

      July 2021 I purchased a Leaf Guard Get it, And forget it system for $11,000.00 At the time I explained to them the number of fixes I had tried and the problems that required my getting on the ladder and the problems of the rain water going over the gutter instead if into the gutter. I even asked what hail damage and was assured they would work with my insurance company to what extent we never discussed. Currently that is a moot problem. The problem the rain water is going over the gutter instead of into the gutter. The two men that had come out to resolve my problem said I needed to clean their system for it to work. I'm thinking I was deliberately misled at *********************************************************** make it right my current opinion is I'm a victim of senior scam. I wouild like the Get it and Forget product product I purchased and paid for.,

      We had these gutters installed a few years ago and serviced a few times over the years but were out of town working for most of them, we got some leaks in our roof and noticed it was because the gutters were installed to high in places and water was backing up under the shingles and rotted our roof, I finally got gutter gaurd reps out of Huntsville to reluctantly come and look and showed them, they agreed gutters were installed incorrectly, I asked them to remove them so we could replace the entire roof then to come back and reinstall them correctly, they wanted $900 to do this, we finally agreed they would take them down no charge but it would cost $450 to reinstall properly or the lifetime warranty wouldnt be honored, I agreed to pay for the warranty as I didn't have any faith left in the gutters or company and wanted to make sure we were covered in the future as we paid 6k for these gutters which is high compared to others but was impressed with the presentation and sales pitch;(All that being said we replaced the roof at no obligation to Leafgaurd and they came and reinstalled them, a week later It rained and water was coming out everywhere but the end of the downspouts as they were unlevel, screws were missing everywhere and downspouts were jus flopping around, they came and did a repair, but still never gave us our warranty paperwork, I called a few times and was told it were on the way, until finally they just stopped answering my calls, its been months now!So today I am outside and its raining and water is going straight over the gutters and waterfalling right into my central air unit, called the national call center and put in a complaint, they recorded it and said they would arrange for a repair crew, we will see if that goes anywhere and still no paperwork on warranty!!So very disappointed in the service, install and the product all together, would like them all removed and reimbursed so I can just get some that actually work installed;(

      Good afternoon,  this is a install that was installed by the original franchise. This branch is now owned by corporate.  We now only service the job. From the last contact to the branch (4-19-22) it sates that everything is working as should be. Install crew adjusted pitch,and proper flow. Everything seemed to be in working order. We do have a service call that came in this morning. We have been trying to get in contact with ********************* by phone all day.  I have even called to try and contact the customer. Once the branch is able to contact the customer we will send out a service crew to inspect, and adjust to make sure ********************* is completely satisfied. Until we contact him we will keep trying to call him.

      It took this complaint to get any reaction, they came out to fix any problems but just pushed gutters around an bent flashing etc but it didnt work, still no warranty paperwork as promised by ***** this time!

      I dont think it can be fixed just by bending stuff around, its getting worse and looks like ***** rigged

      u took a video of the rain coming straight off the roof into my ac unit next rain storm

      good afternoon,  the Huntsville branch could never get a hold of the customer.  I have tried calling again but no response.  The branch sent a install crew by the home (9/7/22) for good faith to get some action moving in the right direction since we can not get the customer on the phone. When arriving the installer noticed that parts of our system have been taken down by someone other than leafguard. Due to a third party in doing so we can not warranty this system. The only warranty with the the original install was no clog.  The system has no clogs. Due non leafguard employees disassembling and rehanging parts of the system we can not  guarantee that any of it will work now. Please reach out to branch for any further concerns.

      I am rejecting this response because:

       we are adding an addition on the house and the contractor took an 8 piece off to be put back on the addition after work is completed.

      I sent a video of the gutter they fixed a couple days later during the rain, 

      this has been an ongoing problem since we had these installed.

      we were totally misled by the guaranteed for life sales pitch, I should have read bbb reviews before I committed to it.

      these gutters are high dollar compared to many others out there but I wanted the best but was wrong.

      the two fellas that came out to see my complaint admitted that they were installed incorrectly and rotted my roof all the way around the edge because they were too high and the water was backing up under the shingles, it cost us $10k for repairs and a new roof and all I asked was for them to take them down and put them back up after the roof was replaced, another mistake on my part for putting my trust in them again, they charged me 400 to reinstall with a complete lifetime guarantee witch never arrived after many calls, I was told it was held up in corporate. So I am out 15k altogether and still need gutters that work!

      Ive seen the reviews now and would not recommend these gutters or this company to anyone. Total rip off!

The company that installed your gutters originally was the franchise that covered your particular area.  Due to being a franchise install and the fact that gutter has been removed and rehung by other people than certified installers we will not be able to do refund you. We are only responsible  for the warranty of NO Clogg.  Nothing more nothing less. When someone other than our trained installers remove our products off the home they do it incorrect which creates issues for reinstalling them.   ********************* after speaking to you on the phone we have agreed to have a crew come out and add a inline/splash guard to help fix the water overshooting on to your air conditioning unit.       The problem was brought to my attention after a sever weather issue in June 15, 2022. I had called a roofing contractor out to see if he could fix our roof. As is turned out the issue was the way the gutters were installed. I contacted ********** and spoke with *************************** and explained the problem. He came out and witnessed the issue and took pictures, as did the roofing contractor as well. As mentioned earlier in this note the weather on June 15th 2022 casused "Hail Damage to the roof and gutter system. A claim was filed and approved by ************************** The problem is now I cannot get LeafGutter to respond to "Quote" this job to ************************* thus, NO work can be done as result of their "NON-COMPLIANCE or lack of a response. I have left messages and Texts for *************************** and heard nothing. I have reached out to the roofing contractor to contact ******* and nothing. On 8/24/2022 I have asked American Family Claims to reach out to *************************** and NO response. My hope is this will bring about a "QUICK" resolution so the insurance work that has been "Approved" can move forward without further delay. *************************** has reached out to me today on 8/25/2022 and has "Stated that he will not submit a quote for this claim.       Date: 8/13/2022 Sales Rep: ***** / *************************** Address: ***************************************************************** Subject: Stop All Contact between company and me. The sales rep noted came and gave his presentation. I listened and got the pricing information. Later that same day I reached out to confirm I was not buying the product and wished him good day. Soon thereafter came the first call from an installer, confirming times and dates for installing the product I did not buy. After contacting ***** and the installers to reiterate the cancelation, I rested easy trusting a BBB accredited company would not conduct hostile sales tactics such as this deliberately, and it was just an oversight. Now comes today, 8/23/2022 and I receive a second installation notice from an installer, for a product I will not buy and do not want to buy in the future. I am kindly requesting company representatives to handle this internally, and to never hear from them via email, phone, text or physical presence on my land.

      I had LeafGuard install new gutters on our house in November 2020. I have had to have them come back numerous times to fix problems. Over 50% of those times, I have discovered they didn't fix the problem. Now I have two downspouts that are evidently clogged. One of the service guys discovered the first one and said he would talk to his manager when he got back to the office. I waited probably 3 weeks and never heard anything.I discovered the second one during a rain. It is causing the grass and dirt to be washed down the bank and coming into the basement under the door seal. I called them on 8/16/22 and put a request in for another repair. **** called me the next day and said there was nothing they could do except take the downspouts apart and hook corrugated pipe that would lay above the ground in the lawn. I said no, I do not want that laying in my yard after paying over $14,000 for the system. So then he hung up on me! This is causing water problems in my basement and to the exterior. They advertise a lifetime warranty but they are not honoring that now. I need some help from someone. Thanks so much for any assistance you can offer.

      Spoke with customer on Thursday 08/25 and visited her home. Customer and GM came up with a plan to fix the drainage issues. Customer has underground PVC pipes and customer understands that over the years they have probably clogged completely as the only place customer could see water exiting the system was at the **** not from the gutter itself. GM and PM are going to visit on Thurs 09/01 and install new pipes in accordance with customers wishes. Customer stated that she will address the ******************** complaint she made.

      Customer made additional comments that she loves her ** system and wished that the underground lines were not clogged. She was also very thankful for the branch visiting her home to find a resolve.

      I am rejecting this response at this time because:

      The problem has not been resolved yet. I had to change the date for the ** and PM to come back. I decided I did not want the solution offered. I think it was just a temporary fix that would more than likely cause new problems. I want it done correctly instead of just putting a bandaid on it. I have been in contact with the ** and informed him of my concerns. I offered to get someone to come and attempt to unclog the drain lines. However, I think LeafGuard should pay for having it done if they will not do it themselves. I had someone here Monday to work on it. They worked all day in the rain. I cant tell if its totally fixed until we have another heavy rain. After that time, I will be back in contact with the **.

      GM spoke with customer, she has had underground drains serviced and they seem to be working properly. Underground lines are not part of the gutter system, and are the customers responsibility.       I had ******* Leaf Guard install gutters on my house approximately 3 to 4 years ago. I have made numerous complaints and had people come out to fix the problem 5 times. Every time they come out, fill out forms with recommendations to fix the problem and leave. No one has come out to fix the gutters or even called me with a scheduled appointment for the work to be done. All I want is the problem fixed. These gutters have a lifetime warranty and have never functioned properly. I can't even get another company to fix them because they are considered specialty gutters. I have done everything short of attempting to *** the company. Please help me get the issue resolved.

      Good evening. My name is ***********************.  Im the south regional manger for leafguard Gutters. I have tried to call **************. No answer. The voice mail is full, so i texted her to call me back. The ******* branch that services her area has not received any calls since the last communication Oct of 2021. Myself and the local branch will continue to try and contact ************** to resolve any issues she is having.
