Environmental Certifications and seals of approval may be used if properly issued. Additional disclosures are needed if not issued by an independent third-party.
36.1 General Principles
36.1.1 Advertisers should not make broad, unqualified general environmental benefit claims like “green” or “eco-friendly.”
36.1.2 Advertisers must qualify general claims with specific environmental benefits.
36.1.3 Advertisers must possess competent and reliable evidence (often scientific evidence) to support all environmental benefit claims. Qualifications for any claim must be clear, conspicuous and understandable.
36.1.4 When an advertiser qualifies a general claim with a specific benefit, the benefit should be significant. Advertisers must not highlight small or unimportant benefits.
36.1.5 Unless clear from the context, any environmental claim must specify clearly and conspicuously whether the claim applies to the product, the product’s packaging, a service or just to a portion of the product, package or service.
36.4 Non-toxic
36.4.1 Non-toxic claims likely convey that a product, package or service is non-toxic both for humans and for the environment generally. Thus advertisers must either possess competent and reliable scientific evidence that this is the case or clearly and conspicuously qualify the claim to avoid confusion.Unfortunately, the business failed to respond to BBB's request to substantiate or remove the claims.

- Educational Toys Planet offers a store credit or refund for the full purchase amount of most items returned within 30 days of purchase. Refunds will be made in the original form of payment. After 30 days, they offer a store credit in the amount of the item(s) current selling price. Returns must be accompanied by RMA number, and items must be returned in new condition with the original unopened packaging and contents. If you like to return an item(s), fill out the online Return Authorization Form. You will receive return authorization number (RMA) along with the return instructions by email. They will not accept a return without proper RMA # on the package. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. C.O.D. packages will not be accepted. For all missing parts, defects, damages or incorrect items please contact them before returning the item. All returns will be processed within 2 business days after receipt. They issue refunds as soon as the return is processed. Please note, it may take 1 or 2 credit cycles for the refund to appear on your credit card statement.
