On Sunday January 26, 2025, around 9:30 pm, my garage door went off track and could not be closed. I called Best Garage Door. They came out and charged me $1,550.23 for the work to get the door closed. This included labor, rebalancing the door, retention the ring, retention the cables and rollers. I was then charged $1,967.15 for parts to finish the job. At that price, I thought I was going to be getting a new door. I was not given an itemized invoice. On Monday, Jan. 27, I called and found out what the price included, which was heavy duty springs, a new opener and 2 new tracks. The total was $3516.88. On Monday night January 27, 2025, they came out to finish the job. They wanted to charge me more money. After arguing with the supervisor, whose name is Saur,,,,he agreed to not charge me anymore money. The worker did a good job. I was extremely over charged for the work and the materials provided. I feel I was taken advantage of as I am a 65 year old woman in a 55 plus community who cares for her 90 year old father. The invoices were not itemized and I feel this company lacks integrity and severely over charged me. If possible, I would like to get back some of the money I paid. I at least want to warn other people about them. They are not an above board business.

On 11/21/2024 I contacted this service to repair 1 garage door with broken *************** They replaced door springs, cable and pulleys . After completing repair in approximately ************************************** a range of (Garage door spring repair costs $95 to $290) according to ****** search. I then asked them to replaced 2 other doors with spring, cables and pulleys without out asking for cost thinking about range price I researched. They completed other doors for total of a little over 1 hour. Then they gave me a bill for over $5,900 where parts were gouged at $550 a single spring (when I saw on ********** for $32 a pair and same for pulleys and cables.) Only resolution they offered was a couple hundred for gouged pulleys. Bringing price down to $5,762.40 and they did not remove taxes for our non-profit after I gave them our ST5 form where total was $5,488.I am disputing price gouging and would like to be credited fairly for the work related according to market conditions.

I believe I was excessively overcharged for a garage door opener replacement on 9/29/24. The service was completed very satisfactorily and promptly which was very much appreciated, but the total bill was $1900 in total for a 30 minute job. On the provided invoice, the new box installed was allegedly $1450. In looking up this model and the parts associated with it, it only cost approximately $250, with an extra cost for miscellaneous items as needed to carry out the repair. However, the cost of these parts no where near meets $1450.

I have no problem paying for labor as is itemized in the invoice, but the unit price was outrageously inflated. We were asked if we wanted the keypad replaced after the job had been completed, as the old one wouldn't work with the newly installed opener, so we had that replaced. After we said yes, and we were asked for our credit card, an additonal $225 was charged to pop this new keypad in. The actual cost of the keypad is approximately $40.

Again, I appreciate the work and timely manner that the work was completed, but feel we were excessively overcharged for the unit.

The guy came to install the garage door opener charged $1100 for the device, $150 for half an hour labor and tax. He said this device is the best in the market and it does this this and that. He described it very fancy so I believed it must be expensive.

After he's gone, I found this is the one that he installed. The device only $229. And he asked for $1100. Unbelievable. Totally a scam
