HWA, "SHAME ON YOU." You guys take your customer's money but do not fulfill what you advertise as promised. It's been a month, and my issue has not been resolved. Shame on you realtor who sells this cheap company and scam your client. Petty, Petty, ***** business practices. You guys should get shut down and fined for false business. Everyone, "STAY AWAY FROM THIS WARRANTY COMPANY, I REPEAT, STAY AWAY."

They "auto-renew" your annual service "for you," even after you've declined or asked to terminate the contract. In 3 separate instances they "helped us" by auto-renewing our annual contract which we had told them many times that we wanted to cancel and were not going to renew. The first renewal came via email for a higher-than-communicated annual fee. I immediately cancelled it. The second came as a monthly renewal (again, at a higher price than they said on their many, many phone calls), and the third was again an annual subscription renewal. In all cases I had to sort through dozens of emails about my expiring contract to find and manually cancel these automatic renewals. Absolutely inappropriate and a huge scam aimed to catch folks that don't read their 150+ emails about renewing. This is in addition to the terrible service, hugely painful process to get any kind of payback, consistent rejection when submitting a claim (but of course only after they send someone out and make you pay the visit fee), and hundreds of spam phone calls and emails to ask us to renew. Be very careful working with this business, and when you decide to cancel be sure to check your post-cancellation credit card statements!

Home Warranty Nightmare I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep frustration and concern regarding my recent experience with my home warranty service, which has turned into a nightmare rather than the hassle-free support I expected.I purchased the higher-tier home warranty package with the belief that it would provide comprehensive coverage for my appliances, especially during the sweltering Texas summer. Unfortunately, I have been without air conditioning for nearly a month now, with temperatures soaring close to 100 degrees.Despite multiple visits from technicians who diagnosed the issue, I received an email stating that my case was approved. However, I was shocked to learn that I am being asked to pay $2,850 for modification charges alone, while all other parts and labor are supposedly included in my package. This situation raises several questions:Lack of Transparency: My package explicitly covers duct and electrical work, yet I am being charged a substantial amount for modifications. It is unclear why these charges are being applied, and I have not received a detailed breakdown of costs, as requested.Flat Fee Negotiation: I was informed that a flat fee was negotiated on my behalf, but I find it difficult to understand how this is justified without a clear explanation of what the fee covers.Consumer Protection: I believe there are many others in similar situations who may be victims of this practice. It is essential that we address this issue to prevent further exploitation of customers who trust home ********************** services to provide support during difficult times.I kindly request your immediate attention to this matter. I would appreciate a thorough review of my case, a detailed breakdown of the charges, and clarification on why I am being held responsible for costs that should be covered under my warranty.

Absolutely horrible company. I had a year contract with them and they wouldn't let me cancel after I missed the renewal date as the contract was set up as automatic renewal. When I called in 2022, they agreed to turn the automatic renewal off. They continued to charge me monthly saying I had a month-to-month contract. I signed no additional contract and received no notifications from the company that they were charging me. As I had no physical way to confirm this change in 2022, and they "had no notes" about the conversation, they refused to give me any form of refund. I am now out ~$2,000. When I asked them to look at earlier conversations, the manager of the team hung up on me instead. The contract is cancelled as of today, but I DO NOT recommend using them.

I have been with this company for years and within the last 3 years I have had problems with my AC unit that this company refuses to fix. I pay them the monthly fee however my AC unit is not working. The service department sent someone out who fixed my AC unit for one day and now my home is 111 degrees in ********* weather. I called this company and they advised me someone would call me back. I have gotten this unit repaired 4 times a year for the last 3 years I have paid for a unit plus the monthly payment to them, which I might add I have never missed. This company ***** and I would not advise anyone to get this. The refuse to help you and refuse to have things fixed properly. I will be checking into legal action against this company. So my advice to you is find another company before Home Warranty of America in ********** is not work the money,

Used to many loopholes to avoid paying for my repair, and the service person was a little weird about communicating between myself and them

If I could leave negative stars I would. This place is a scam. They train they employees to not place notes about cancellation requests and instead the employees place false notes about offering a free month or they place notes about questions of a prior claim, but they don't actually send in the cancellation request and they continue to charge you. I will be contacting the proper authorities to report them.

Sent out a technician to fix my AC/Heater from a wonderful company. Told me what the problem was, had parts for it and technicians ready to go. Let me know about the cost after insurance helped, the timeframe it would be completed in and let me know what I could do on my part to help out the technician so far as clearing the area went. *** even sent me a notice that the claim was approved, what the cost was and when it would be. I accepted, then within 24 hours HWA suddenly cancelled the appointment and said that it was being reassigned and the process would have to be reviewed again from the start. When I called *** they said that the original company cancelled and that they had to assign a new technician who would have to start the whole process over again. New technician calls and clearly has no idea what they are doing, where they are going or even when they are going to be there, spends most of his time shouting at me that those are my problems and that I need to figure it out with my warranty company and call him back. Call the old company to see what happened, Plot Twist, they were still planning on coming out. They were under the impression that everything was fine and hadn't heard anything from ***, furthermore they would be happy to jump back on board and finish the project. Call *** and explain my concerns with the new company and how I would like the old company back, they lied again saying they had cancelled, I told them we had already talked, they had already agreed, and that *** had in the past allowed me to change or use a previous contractor. They said **** rocks. New contractor comes out, immediately tried to charge several hundred dollars for the review which was already done and supposedly paid for by ***, does review anyway without getting paid, finds same results. 3 Days later *** says that the contractor cancelled again and they'd have to restart the process. This is a scam. They will not actually hold up their agreement
