      I would give Shamco Management zero stars if I could. This place lives up to its name. If you expect to be treated with dignity, safety, or respect run do not walk away from this place. After I reported a frightening encounter with a maintenance worker, management specifically ***** *****-****** began retaliating against me and my boyfriend who is the leaseholder. Despite already having approval for my emotional support animals, ***** ignored past documentation, repeatedly harassed me for paperwork, and escalated threats based on false accusations (including cigarette smoking, which was completely fabricated). They even attempted to involve people in my life who had no legal authority to speak for me, in an effort to pressure me out of my home.I am a domestic violence survivor and a person with documented disabilities, both of which are protected under the law. Instead of offering reasonable accommodation, ******* Village chose to create an environment so hostile it has affected my health, my peace, and my ability to live safely.If you value your rights, your mental health, money or privacy, stay far away from **********************.

      Shamco Management routinely fails to provide and maintain basic services like electricity, heat, hot water, cooking gas, or even a functional front door/intercom. Our building is routinely filthy. Trying to get even basic repairs or services is a nightmare. Our building's current super is attentive, but clearly has no support or resources to get things done. Previous supers have been openly hostile and negligent, and neither the main office or call center seem to know what's going on or have the ability to communicate and follow through on anything (they schedule repairs but don't show up and the office has no idea anything was even scheduled). If you want to pay market prices for public housing conditions, Shamco should be your top choice.
