I gave Sokol from A1 Roofing a deposit of $3,000 on June 18, 2024 to secure the job per the contract. On Thursday, June 27, 2024 the A1 workers came to my house to replace my roof, new gutters, and repair chimney with bricks. They only completed & finished the roof in 1 day. The workers damaged the Dish satellite when removing it. I gave the foreman $3,500 because Sokol never showed up at my house as he said he was going to. He did tell me over the phone that the chimney guys will come tomorrow Friday, June 28th to do the work. No one showed on Friday, June 28th. I called Sokol at A1 Roofing and he said he's not going to send anyone because he is going to lose money if he does. On Saturday, June 29, 2024, the workers came to do the gutters. I called Sokol to ask about when the chimney workers will be coming to do the work per the contract on the chimney, and Sokol said he is not and will not send anyone to do the work. So, now I am left with an incomplete job per our signed contract from A1 Roofing because Sokol lied to me and lied on the contract and an unprofessional business owner. The contract states they would install GAF Timberline shingles and from the enclosed pictures you can see Owens Corning Trudefinition shingles were installed instead. The chimney work should have been done first because now that the new roof is installed, how am I going to get the bricks on the chimney without ruining the new roof since I now have to do the work myself since A1 Roofing will not perform the work per the contract?
