TL;DR I wish they offered services for people for when my parents and my time comes based on our experiences with Pet Meadows of Hamilton when our 5 beloved kitties said their final goodbyes. So, for the record my family and I are sitting with our elderly kitty right now waiting for her peaceful sleep to become final. She blessed us with 5 beautiful kittens when we took her in, a pregnant mom-to-be in need of a home and a safe place in which to bring her kittens into the world. We kept the kittens when we could find no homes for them, and we couldnt be happier we did. That said: Weve had 5 experiences with Pet Meadows of Hamilton providing our after-care needs for our beloved cats. The first, a family pet that we had to say goodbye to on my birthday, was cremated by PM at the recommendation of my mothers vet, whom she is friends with outside of the business. Their services were exemplary. When our first cat since being in our own home, the first kitten, had to be put down due to a long manageable health condition suddenly becoming terminal, we were happy to find the emergency vet worked with them directly. When our second, a domesticated juvenile someone abandoned who asked to move in passed unexpectedly, we took her there the next day. When the next kitten fell ill unexpectedly, we didnt think twice about where to send her. Then our first, the one who started our journey as a cat household succumbed to age related decline suddenly, same answer. Now Im here today hoping we can manage the financial aspect needed to receive the same kind, caring services weve received thus far. This isnt because their rates arent reasonable, simply that were overextended at this time. We will find a way to ensure she and her three remaining kittens go there when the time comes. Im genuinely both saddened and surprised by the negative experiences others have had and Ive no doubt these are uncommon occurrences as reflected by the small number of negative reviews.

Upon shipping the remains of my pet, Pet Meadow provided me with the wrong tracking number. This led to 24 hours from shipment to delivery during which time I thought the remains were lost. Pet Meadow provided me with a window the courier was picking up the remains, and hrs later the tracking was showing the courier did not know the packages whereabouts. Upon recognizing something was wrong, I left a message on Pet Meadows after-hour urgent line. Knowing they had printed a new label, I suspected they gave me the incorrect tracking number, which they told me was not changing when I specifically asked this. The urgent line was pointless, as no one returned my call. Desperate to know the package was safe, I continued to call them the next day during their normal hours; none of the phone calls were answered. I also sent several emails, all of which were ignored. Almost 24 hrs went by before I finally received a ************ back stating it would still be another hr before they could check on what happened. They stated they would have an update at 3pm, but they still waited until 4:55pm to call me; five minutes before they were set to close. The package luckily ended up being delivered about an hr prior to their phone call under a completely different tracking number. It became apparent at the start of the phone call that they had no idea where the package was. When I interjected and said it was delivered an hour prior and they would have saved me immense stress simply by responding to my attempts to contact them and asking they check the tracking number, she defensively and unapologetically said that the emailed number was the only tracking number Pet Meadow had. This is alarming, as Pet Meadow specifically said they printed and fixed the new label to the package. This means no one at Pet Meadow thought to cross check the email they sent to the label they printed. There was no genuine apology, and certainly no accountability or ownership for their extreme oversight.

We had a devastating experience with Pet Meadow that we want to share to spare others having to deal with this dishonest company. After our dog passed away, we paid for the private cremation services the next day. But there were no follow up communications from the company, and we had to call every week to get any update on our beloved dog. When we finally confirmed that they had picked up our girl, they promised to call and schedule a private viewing in 2-3 weeks before cremation. But when I called again a bit more than a week later to check, they told me that they already cremated my dog a week ago! We were shocked that they never informed us and that we never got the chance to say final goodbye. Moreover, they said that she was still not ready to be picked up more than a week after the cremation. They also lied over the phone saying there is no indication that we wanted to arrange the private viewing. When we were finally able to pick up our girl, they admitted that there were notes in their system to contact the family for arrangement before cremation. Pet Meadow's service is really insensitive and I will never recommend anyone to use them.

We are so sorry ************ had a bad experience. We spoke with ************ before we picked up Butter, and again a week later. ************ never mentioned wanting to attend the cremation of her pet. ************ asked when the service would take place and we told her the timing of the cremation. I believe there was a mis-understanding because of a language barrier. We understand how difficult losing a cherished pet can be. We refunded the full amount of cremation to ************.

My dog died New Years Eve , very heartbreaking ?? and still Ive yet to accept her death. Pet Meadows came highly recommended however what should have been something beautiful turned into disaster, one thing after another. If I had known I wouldnt have not went there but being distraught I knew of nothing or no one else to do to . This was a first for me so I depended on them . The service was fine it was the aftermath that destroyed me , I was promised things I never received and the last straw was name plates in silver that I never ordered as well as the wrong birthday and deceased date . That was it for me , so I know my Diamond is with the Angels in heaven but Ill never forgive the sloppy way they sent her home !! *********************

I concur with the other negative reviews of this place. My dog was euthanized at ****************************** on 11/12/23. I have been requesting information on the status of my boy over and over, yet I never get a valid answer. I'm only fed excuses such as the urn I selected is on back order. Even after I pleaded for updates, it has been 2 weeks, and there has been no communication from them. If you care for your pets like family, take them to a place where they are treated like family. NOT Pet Meadows. The loss has been so emotional and heartbreaking. Pet Meadows did nothing but make it stressful.

They ****. Find another place! I would not even give them a 1 star they are not worth it. They do not answer their phones, or respond to the emails. They should change their email response and voicemail to say you can leave a message but we will not respond to either one. I finally showed up at the facility and the womans response was the package you got the remains will be mailed to you, a big (DAH) on them, I mean really I know what package I purchased. I want to know about the remains since you do not answer email or phone calls. She simply told me that I will get an email with a tracking number on when her remains would be shipped. I asked 2 days, 2 weeks, what would that time be. She had no answer. So she said sorry as I was at the door, I stopped turned around and said no you are not, if you were someone would have emailed me or called me back to let me know what was going on. I then left and called Hamilton Police. It was amazing that apparently she started to have more information. Unbelievable this place. I wish I would have seen the reviews of how bad they ****, because I would have gone somewhere else. I would have driven hours to go some place that actually cared and knew what they were doing and how to answer the phones and emails, as well as knowing what **************** is. I hope the women who was at the front desk gets, gets trained or retrained on **************** as well as the new people who they supposedly hired, that they do not get trained by her. What a mess that will be.

my dog was put down on 7/27, I was told it could be a couple of weeks before we received his ashes, my husband ordered a paw print also before we left for vacation, upon returning home I was surprised no ashes and paw print. I emailed and in the email and subject I inquired about his ashes and paw print. Someone did call back and spoke to me, I asked about the ashes and paw print as well. Nothing was said to me that a nose print was ordered and not a paw print in our conversation when I inquired. She just said he was coming home to me. The next day a box was on our front door and we opened it sadly, when I opened it it was surprised to see a nose print. My daughter was sad as she herself tried to get one from him prior to his passing but he was too shaky, I told her I would get one. You cannot get a person on the phone, there were a lot of emails going back and forth and they showed me the order and it said nose print, my husband said he pressed the paw, I don't know but they said they can recreate it? I didn't know what this meant and I questioned why the person on the phone didn't address to me that a paw print wasn't ordered as it was specifically put in the email and was discussed on the phone if she had addressed this I would have asked what my options were and we wouldn't have been surprised with the emotional event of opening the package. I was told the colleague on the phone was unable to make any changes she was simply informing me he was coming home, but was told in another email they could do a recreation print. I questioned why it couldn't be done then when I spoke to her and then haven't received any anwers, no one calls back, very insensitive for this kind of business

Hello *******, I am sorry for the loss of your dog. We returned your phone calls on 8-9 and ****, both times your voicemail was full and we could not leave a message. Your husband selected and paid for an ink nose print. When our staff member called you to tell you your pet was on his way home the cremation had already been done. Her purpose was to confirm your shipping address and let you know your pet would be home soon. We are very sensitive to people who have lost a family member. We are all pet parents here. *****

I am writing to complain about PetMeadow. Unfortunately due to my beloved dog ******** emergency visit at Northstar Vet, he was euthanized. I was extremely upset and allowed his cremation to be done through them and they use Pet Meadow. I rescue senior ************ of them were cremated.I tried to contact PetMeadow several times thorough email, voicemail and directly through their website. I finally got through on June 29th and spoke with ***** who was very pleasant. I told her that I was vacationing in ** when my dog took ill and that I understood they would be shipping his creamains to my home in *******. She said it would take about 2 weeks. She told me they picked him up on the 23rd, so they already had him about a week. I told her I was in ** until July 8th and asked if I could pick them up. She said she didn't think they would be ready but that I would get a call before they were shipped. I returned home on July 10th. I called on Juky 11th and left a voicemail. On July 14th, a gentleman called, I don't recall his name but he was very nice. He told me ******* ashes would be shipped on July17th.I received the adhes today and I was shocked to see how large the box was. All my other dogs ashes were way less, and I was there when they were cremated individually. I did some research and found that a 40 lb dog's ashes should way about 1.4 lbs after cremation. Well ****** was 22 lbs and the ashes they sent weigh **** lbs. Plus, the clay ******** seems much larger than it should be.I know there is no way of truly knowing whose ashes I received but I'm fairly confident they are not my dog's ashes. I read many poor reviews after I kept trying to contact them.

On Dec 2,2021 my Beautiful Pomeranian Boy Sultan past away .He lived 1 month and a day past his seventeenth birthday. It was suggested by a ********** hospital administrator to call Pet Meadow of Hamilton N.J. for interment, which I did. Viewing and cremation was scheduled for Dec 20 2021 at 11am. Unfortunately I had to postpone my appointment due to a dead battery. The new date and time was Jan 3 2022 11am. I arrived early and after a short while I was escorted into an attractive room softly lit. A table and some chair chairs was set up for my viewing pleasure. As I approached the the blanketed form on the table I recognized a small black Yorkie and not a sable colored (light tan) Pomeranian. ****** was misidentified and cremated December14. On this company's website ********** Services includes each pet to be cremated in their own cremation chamber. insuring that you receive only your pets ashes. So whose cremains and Paws of Remembrance do I have??. Viewing prior to cremation they go on to say is an important part of the grieving process. Thanks Pet Meadow for the Post traumatic Stress Syndrome.
