BBB is aware of issues concerning domain name registration renewal letters received by consumers from the company. The Expiration Notice suggests that consumers switch to Internet Domain Names Services and it advertises its allegedly competitive prices for 1, 2 and 5 year renewals. It warns that ‘failure to renew your domain by the expiration date may result in a loss of your online identity making it difficult for your customers and friends to locate you on the web.” The letter requests a payment by credit card and a valid email address.
The pre-printed New Jersey address in Jersey City to return the letter with payment is a UPS store. The website www.idns.ac is registered in the British Ascension Island and it redirects to www.idns.to, a country code for Kingdom of Tonga in Southeast Pacific.
The company has not responded to the complaints on file with the BBB Serving NJ.
Internet Domain Names Services is not registered with the State of New Jersey, Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue & Enterprise Services.

Domain Registry sent me a bill for my domain website that I had set up with Wix. I paid them $105 for a two year license on 2/15/23, not realizing they were not associated with Wix, but a scam.Business Response

We are not a scam in any way shape or form, what they received from us is an offer asking quite clearly if they wanted to transfer to us. If they do not know how to properly read or digest information, unfortunately that is not a problem we can help them rectify.
Concerning their order however, they have already contacted us for a refund on march 9th and it was processed on that day. So lodging a complaint 5 days after receiving a refund for the error THEY made, well, we suppose it's just a pattern of moronic behavior that cannot be comprehended.

I received a mail solicitation from IDNSinc offering to renew the domain registration for our homeowners' website. I paid them $190 to do so. They requested additional information, which I provided. They still did not renew the registration on the domain.My assessment is that this company is a scam. They sent the solicitation a year before the actual required date, and charged 2.5 times the amount that is charged by a reputable company, then don't provide the service. They are counting on people not doing the research (like me) who just pay it without understanding.Business Response

We did nothing that this person has accused of us, we did not send a renewal form 1 year early, we sent an offer to transfer to us a few months before their domain expired. They have had 2 years to complete the transfer and yet they have not sent us the valid transfer authorization code to complete the process. If they would like a refund they can certainly contact us to request one, which they have never done so far. Totally meritless complaint based on lies.

Th eoffer we sent this person clearly states multiple times it is asking if they want to switch to us, it states:
"When you switch today to Internet Domain Name Services you can take advantage of our best savings"
There is no scam at all, perhaps they should learn how to read before making false complaints.

I don't think this is the only one, but i seem to get this all the time. If this IS the only one, then maybe you can get them to stop this scam. They said my domain is about to expire and i would need to act today because my cobrien.com will expire Jan 22, 2022. Will first off, it doesn't expire until ****, second I don't even use this domain service so they should NOT be mailing me. Isn't this mail fraud? I want them to stop this scam, not just to me, but to everyone. They tell me to visit www.util.com which is not their normal web address anyway. What this person received form ** is an offer which clearly and explicitly is asking if they would like to transfer to us for their domain renewal. At the time we sent the letter last month their domain was absolutely expiring Jan 22nd 2023, yes it now expires in **** but that is only because they just renewed it 4 days ago with their current registrar.
We have never perpetrated any kind of scam and therefore we will of course continue to operate as usual.

I am rejecting this response because:Everything that company said was a down right lie. I can send you proof of when my domain name expires, but since this company is so unscrupulous, i do dont want them to see anything personal. Furthermore, it was very misleading. Have them show you the letter they sent, and you will see that is absolutely not the case. If they cant fess up and be honest, i will *** for money in the court system. They are total liars!

Somehow because I inquired on line to their fraudulent mail about my domain name expiring, they charged my AMEX card $225 on September 26, 2022. GoDaddy remains my web site domain carrier. I verified that today, November 9, 2022. AMEX has blocked this and refunded my $ and is investigating this company. No one answers at Domain Registry's fake address and phone number; ********************************************************************************** ************** Phone Support is available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm ET. First, we have never sent a piece of fraudulent mail in our company's history.
Furthermore, this customer never contacted us for a refund directly at any point, which we would have happily issued if they had.
Thirdly they are seeking a refund, yet in their own words they state "AMEX has blocked this and refunded my $ " so are they now trying to extort a second refund out of us after already receiving it? The only fraudulent activity going on here is this person's audacious attempt to scam their way into two refunds, how shameful, and quite frankly moronic.
The entire basis of this complaint is without merit.

I received postal mail from Internet Domain Name Services (IDNS). The mail piece was marked with "Renewal Information Enclosed - OPEN IMMEDIATELY", which is deceptive, implying that this company is who I do business with -- which I don't. Inside, there was something that looked like an invoice, again a deceptive ploy. I have asked this company to stop sending me anything by mail twice before, but they persist with their invasion of my privacy with their scams. I've read the BBB complaints and see that they deny any wrong doing in response to people who clearly have been deceived, but their mail is without any doubt, deceptive, as proved by those who fell for it and sent money -- they were obviously deceived.I want these criminals to stop sending me mail and to not attempt to solicit me in any manner.Business Response
