I had a Dexascan on 8/14/24 at ************ ****** ******** Imaging Specialists in Dunmore, PA. **** *****/**** ****** (**/**) covered the scan and I paid $160 for the scan itself; however, I received a bill from Radiology Affiliates Imaging (RAI) that the reading of the scan was not covered. I called **/** & they said RAI is not using the same diagnosis code that the hospital used. **/** called RAI on 10/15/24 to get coding corrected. I received a final notice bill this month for $215 from RAI. I called RAI and they said the coding is correct. I asked if they called the hospital and they said no. How can they say it is correct if they are not calling. They refused to call and said I had to. I called the hospital and they gave me a number to call and it ended up being for RAI. Going in circles here. I called **/** again and they called RAI again and asked for a supervisor and they would not get one on the phone and also would not call the hospital to get correct diagnosis code. RAI is using diagnosis code ***.** but it should be **** as the hospital used for the scan.

August 14th 2024 @ 8:30 am I was seen at Kuser Road facility of RAI Affiliates for my regular mammogram and ultrasound follow up. As usual I take Advil prior to my mammogram to help alleviate post visit discomfort. During the exam I felt a warm “pop” and a little electricity under arm breast area then she released the machine and I blew out a sigh of relief that it was over. After l left I rested in my truck. My left arm, shoulder, and elbow was suddenly numb and tingly. My wrist was on fire. I was fine before my appointment and I walked out all messed up.
I waited all weekend hoping the pain would subside.
My pain continued to increase. By Monday, August 19, 2024 I finally sought care in the Emergency room at RWJ Hamilton.
Friday 8/27/24 I seen the ortho doctor. On Monday 9/16/2024 I saw my primary doctor. 9/23/2024 I had an MRI. I did report this to a Ms. Gail B*****. I would like some help paying these bills. I don't want to have to get a lawyer.

When I contacted RAI for info they said because we had insurance they had to submit it. I gave them insurance info and was told when they got insurance payment we would be refunded. Insurance paid them in August and they refuse to give me a refund after making several phone calls. I am owed $713.75 and they keep telling me they need more time to check it out

On July 12th I checked into ****************** I was paying cash for a scan test to be done. Per the hospital I had to have a script by a dr. So I brought that document. So I entered on July 12th for my scheduled test. I approved to the amount and to have the test done by ****************** I paid in full to have the test. The test was performed. A few days later I got the test on a CD to bring to my doctor for review. On August 4th my wife gets a text from a company called Radiology Affiliates Imaging that we have a bill with them and its due in less then 30 days for 113. We were never informed of this company. We were never asked to release any medical or personal information to this company. My wife called them and they said they would investigate and it would be 45 days however the bill is due in less then a month. Every 7 days a text would come requesting money. Then the paper bills started. After hours with St Marys and them saying they have nothing to do with the bill and Radiology saying we are investigating and escalating. We have spend hours on the phone with both. On Aug 21st **** told us that we should not have gotten this bill but it would take 2 weeks to have it removed. She stopped the text messages. After more calls to Radiology Company as we are still getting bills, still being told it has escalated, still being told a manager will call us, and still being told it is under investigation. This month we get a bill saying final and it is going to collections. I never requested the service. I never authorized ******** Hospital *********, ** ***** to release any medical or personal information. I signed a signature pad to say yes to the having test. Nothing else was said or explained. I paid for the test in full. Why are they allowed hidden fees and to not respect HIPPA? If this is actually part of the test then why was this not disclosed. All services and costs should be explained. This test is not covered by any insurance.

I had an annual mammogram on 6/28/22. RAI did not **** ******** at first. They ****ed me the full amount. Then they ****ed my medigap insurance which denied them because they never ****ed ******** as the primary. I gave them my insurance information to be sure they had it. Then they ****ed me again. I called ******** and they said I was fully covered, there was no reason why they should be having this problem. Then apparently they did **** ******** but continued to **** me. It looks like they can't find their payment and that they don't post payments when they get them. I faxed to them today the payment summary from ******** and hope they understand that since ******** has already paid them in full, they are not supposed to **** me for more than the ******** allowed amount. I owe 00. according to ********.
