First Visit May 16th, told that he needed to order a part. a week later .on May 22nd came with New part, but it ended up being a wrong part recieved. Came back on 6/5 with another part but said the same issue. than was talking about maybe other issues but never correctly diagnosed the issue but in the end when the dishwasher was put back together, a switch was missing and there was a crack on the steel switch control panel.
Now I have to buy a new dishwasher for sure and they charged me $145.00 for service.Initial Complaint

A technician, Vlad, based out of Farmington CT, arrived at the house to diagnose a Maytag dishwasher that was shorting out mid-cycle. He ran a diagnosis, identified the cause as the circuit board, stated he would order a new piece, and would come back and replace the part. He noted the total would be $345.63 and half would need to be paid up front ($172.81). A week passed and there was no communication from Vlad. Multiple calls were placed to the company who informed us to text Vlad. A text message was received back from "the technician" stating there was a backlog at the warehouse, and they don't need our money. The representative at the company when called again stated they couldn't refund us they were just an intermediary to the company. Multiple attempts at getting a refund were not received, a small claims writ and notice was sent certified mail on November 12 for $9.68 but was not delivered and/or picked up by an authorized individual. I am seeking compensation for the additional $9.68 as well for the pain of having to deal with this.Initial Complaint

On 11/08/24 I received service from APL Appliance repair for a refrigerator not cooling.
Repairman, (J***** ******) said he fixed the problem, costing $435.00.
I noticed the refrigerator continuously running. would not stop even with increasing temperature.
I checked here at BBB and noticed the poor service provided. I arranged service with a Whirlpool certified technician. He was shocked at the repair done with wrong parts installed and jerry rigging of instillation and damage to 3 year old unit. Repair would cost over $600 !!! Recommended I just purchase a new refrigerator.Initial Complaint

10/07/2024, checked the cell phone for refrigerator repair near me. *** showed a 5 star so I went with them. tel # ************ called for appointment and **** would come out to quote a price on the issue. Need to change the water valve system. He stated he had to order the part and needed half down. gave him $250.00. Said it would take 3-5 days. Called Friday to check on when he would return, was told to call ************. Called and was told they would have him call me. His # ************. I called my self and no answer was not able to leave a voice message, phone hung up. Called again about 6-8 times, spoke with a *******, ***** ***** **** received the same story from all of them. They will speak to the manager and have him call me. Never happened. When calling twice, asked for an address were the business was. ******************************************************* the other address was ********************************************************************* Looked both addresses up and both are residential property's. By this time the leak ruined my floor, now I have to purchase a new floor and the water leaked into the down stairs bathroom and the ceiling has water spots. 9-10-24 Supposed "technician" (Vlad) showed up to diagnose and hopefully fix our dishwasher. Required half of total charge to get a replacement part. Pretended (?) to barely speak English, but his writing and spelling on the receipt indicated he has no problem with English (correctly spelled difficult words). Did he write these texts? I paid "Vlad" $183.45. It has been two weeks, and he is not returning my calls. He has texted me three times, and is furious with me for calling his company a "scam", which I said after I had googled six reviews online that described the exact same "scenario" (he mocks my use of this word) with this company. They diagnose, collect half the money, office promises "technician" will call, but he only sends argumentative texts. He does not return to fix appliance. No parts, no refund, no professional attitude. Technician tells me I should not pursue this legally because it would "waste (my) time and stress (my) nerves." I ignore all of this condescending, possibly misogynistic, rhetoric and have blocked him. I want my money back, to be used towards fixing or replacing this dishwasher. I am now working with another company, recommended by Angi's List..

We contacted your company for a repair service on our freezer. A company representative visited our premises on May 23, 2024, took a part from the freezer, and charged us $152.02. Unfortunately, the representative never returned to complete the repair. Despite numerous calls to the company and assurances that a manager would return our calls, we have not received any follow-up. We are unable to fix the freezer because the part taken by your representative is still missing.

Called to get service on GE Frig/freezer. Gasket around freezer door was causing Ice build up. Guy showed up, needed $250.00 in order to place order for gasket that would take 7 days to get. on the 11th day I called. Total cost would be $450.00 What I was told that would be 20 - 30 minute fix took TWO (2) hours. He took door off. Put gasket on/off many times, before saying it was fixed. Three (3) days later I called as ice build up again. Called and asked to talk to Manager. later that day service man called he showed up, realized he did not put right washer on door hinge. Said it was fixed he would refund $250.00 that day or next. Two (2) days later after several calls went to voice mail he showed up with $250.00. Gasket has not fixed the problem, manager never called me back. I called again this am, to ask that manager call, 20 mintues later service man called and said he has already refunded all the money I ma getting back. Problem has not been solved, and I am out $200.00 dollars. You would think that a business would at least return your calls.
VERY disappointed in this company and its service, would NOT recommend to any one.

I called these people to come out and fix a broken pump in my washing machine back in early February. Yesterday, the washer failed again, exhibiting the exact same problem. After calling this company back, I was told that the part was out of warranty and they would need to charge me to come back out and look at it again. 3-month warranty. Really? My dryer was working but not heating properly. I contacted APL Appliance Repair **** *** ***** *** *** ****) to come and inspect my dryer. They told me it will be $70 for the technician to come and diagnose the issue and if any repair is required it will be extra but the visitation charges will be adjusted in that cost.
On 1/23/2023 evening a technician named Ruhan came to my house and inspected the dryer. He told me some parts have to be replaced. The total cost estimate was $240 which I paid through Citi Visa card. On 1/24/2023 when I was doing my laundry the dryer still had the same issue. I called the technician and he very rudely said to me to get it fixed by someone else and he will refund me the money. Their office later called me and said they will send the same technician again to fix it. I was not very confident on the capability of the technicians ability and attitude to resolve the issue and asked them to refund my money.
They still wanted to charge me $70 for the visit which was of no use to me as he did not diagnose the issue. I asked my credit card company to dispute the payment. The credit card company gave APL 45 days to respond and APL claimed the money is due towards them and hence I was charged that amount.
I have suffered through this period as the problem still exists and would like a full refund so that I can hire a more competent agency to fix my dryer.Initial Complaint

My refrigerator was spitting out water from the back. The repair man who came here only made it worse. He put in a bad wire, and I had a flood in my kitchen. They ruined my floors, and my blinds in my dining room, and I want them to replace both.Business Response

But during a visit, it turned out that the water comes from the tap, and this is the work of a plumber. We don't do this work. And the fridge had a bad water valve. We did not take any payment from the customer. She called us and threatened us with the police and asked for $3000 the first time. Then she called back and asked for $5000. We called her nurse who gave her an order which to pay for the visit and we explained the situation. She said that *** (customer) is sick and just ignore her. And she added, to speak rudely with her so that she gets behind you. We have all voice recordings and text messages. Then we turned to the police that this customer threatens us and denigrates us. Police sent us to the judge, and we made a request. We have a copy of the request, and I can send it to you if needed. We have all the recordings of the conversations, the text messages, and the video recordings too. This client is just sick. She has nothing better to do.

I am rejecting this response because: WELL NO. 1 I'M NOT A HE, I'M A SHE. THEY ARE SUCH LIARS. THE PERSON WHO CAME TO MY HOUSE HAD THE ***** TO CHARGE MY RABBI $365.00 FOR WHAT, DOING NOTHING EXCEPT BREAK MY REFRIDGERATOR WORSE. THEY ARE LIARS FOR SURE. WHEN I CALLED THEM AND TOLD THEM THAT MY REFRIDGERATOR WAS LEAKING, THEN WHY IN THE ***** WOULD THEY COME HERE, IF I NEEDED A PLUMBER. THEY DAMAGED NOT ONLY MY BLINDS, BUT THEY ALSO DAMAGED MY FLOORS THAT NOW NEED TO BE REPLACED. I AM DISGUSTED WITH WHAT THEY SAID ABOUT ME, BECAUSE IT'S ALL LIES.

I have no addition to the complaint. Just ask the customer to cancel her payment if it was done. As I explained in my previous complaint response, that customer needed a plumber to work. ************** is very polite, and gentle he is not lying. We completed the Civil CIS and if they call us back again, she will be called to court.
