"*************************" called myself and 3 of my family members leaving threatening messages about coming to my residence or employer. When I called the number back it goes straight to VM. I do not owe anyone money and have never heard of this company.

I received a voicemail from "**************" ( a fake name) Telling me that he was calling from The Transunion credit bureau about a dispute I filed. When I called he said a different name and the said" oh yea I'm actually the person that called" How can I help? so I asked who he actually worked for and he told me Source Mediation Service. He then asked what he could do for me I explained that the debt they purchased was a result of my ex wife who had an account in my name at an address I didn't live at. He proceeded to tell me that "Suburban Propane the original creditor" did their "due diligence" and determined I lived there which is false because at the time of the acct being established there was a restraining order in place a I was living in a different address 30 miles away. When I asked what due diligence was performed to determine my address (as this was a private home no leasing office) he stuttered and said look I want to reduce the amount you have to pay. I told him I would not be accepting any offers as the bill was not mine. He concluded the call with saying" I don't think your going to pay anyway good luck with this being on your credit for the next 7 years." This is by far the least professional contact I have ever had from any agency looking for payment> He never said that the call was being recorded or monitored so for all I know it wasn't., In addition lying about your name and the agency your calling from using a fake ************************************************************************************************************************************ order to try to get a payment from a debt that doesn't belong to me and even if it had been my debt I NEVER signed a contract or any other kind of binding agreement with Source Mediation to pay them for anything.
