    First and foremost thank you for making me struggle the past nine months for nothing. *************** said that I will be charged 25$ a month thats included in my biweekly payments. This was not the case I was never told on the phone after accepting an offer that the law firm would take another 28% off of the original debt that was owed. Alperstein and Associates never mentioned the fee until I went online today to look at why Im still paying the same creditors and why the firm keeps asking for more money. Obviously more money would go I to the firms pockets than the creditors that I owed. I felt robbed and uninformed about the process. Its probably in fine print but the firm will never just say once you accept the offer the firm gets 28% your not helping anyone, what you are doing is making the process long and painful for the person trying to fix their credit. Your firm robbed me blind and had I not signed on to the portal I would have continued to be a sucker for lawyers trying to line their pockets with money. You should be ashamed of what you put people through knowing that they are already struggling. The pain and financial struggles I suffered being broke just to pay a law firm to give a small percentage to the creditors is absurd and high way robbery. Never trusted a lawyer but this really takes the cake. How dare you treat people like this. Well just to let you know I will be reporting this and making sure that everyone knows what you hide in percent of what your gonna make on top of what global holding was taking. You r firm made made life miserable for the past 9 months with no progress but Im glad your firm got to line their pockets first. For example I owed a creditor $ ******* and the creditor settled for $1776.00. Firm charged a 28% of the original debt of $******* and made out with over $ *******. Another creditor I owed was $1811.00, creditor settled for $878.00 and law firm made $737.00 off of that. Alperstein is no help but just robbers

    Alperstein took extra money out of my account without my authorization. I agreed to pay them $511.00 a month in 2 installments. I agreed to make the payments by weekly. Now they claim that they don't know how much I agreed to pay a month. They say I signed a contract for them to take money every 2 weeks no matter if there are 3 weeks in a month. Supervisor is not knowledgeable of anything! They are foreigners who have no clue how American works!!!

    I spoke with a man named ***** ***** and signed an agreement to service but have not gotten any response since on how to get into my account. Ive asked directly how to discontinue this service because it is no longer needed and have still received no response.

    Hired them to pay off debt. All they have done is take our money and not pay anything. We got 3 contracts for settlement, signed them and nothing is going down. Our credit scores dropped over 150 points since signing with them. Our bank changed our address due to a cease and desist letter from them and we cannot get new debit cards or checks. I want all the money we have paid refunded or proof they are actually paying what they said.

    Alperstein collected monthly payments for a service they did not provide. Dates of action were changed constantly keeping me on the hook. Requiring more payments. They falsely guided me in a direction that effectively destroyed my credit into the 400's, made me lose my housing because of that and now I cannot get into a house because of my horrible credit score. Even though I have plenty of money. I don't want to be or sound dramatic, but making the decision to use alperstien associate LLC quite literally ruined my life.

A member of our management team has reached out to Mr. ********* to discuss his concerns. Mr. ********* enrolled in a 30-month debt settlement program on June 21, 2024. During enrollment, he was provided with all required information, including a comprehensive explanation of how the debt settlement program works and the potential negative impact on his credit while enrolled.

    Mr. ********* requested to cancel the program on December 31, 2024, and he received his refund via ACH on the same day. We sincerely wish Mr. ********* the best in resolving his debt and regret that he was unable to complete his journey to becoming debt-free with Alperstein and Associates.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    My complaint has not been addressed or satisfied in any way. They literally took my money for over 6 months and didn't provide a service. It was an actual scam. And then they took a profit when they issued my refund. 

    I was in a tough spot and just needed some guidance to turn my financial situation around. Instead they led me down a HUGE hole that is now irreparable. 

     I had plans for my life and was working hard for them. I thought I was doing the right thing getting help from professionals. But was lied to and taken advantage of. 

     Is this something I should find a lawyer for?

    I am rejecting this response because:

    This company claims to provide a service but does not follow through with agreements or show any proof of efforts to complete the task they receive pre payment for. 
      They mislead the customer and put them in the worst possible position to put THEM in the best possible position.

     They use vague lawyer talk when "explaining" things and then don't even follow thru with the things they attempt to explain.

     I believe this company is a scam and has done the same to many other people. The company and their employees should be investigated for illegal activity.

    My brother contracted with a consolidation firm out of ************ named Alperstein. My brother has been diagnosed with dementia, cognitive decline and metastatic cancer. I have durable Power of Attorney supported by a letter from his neurologist stating his decline in mental ability and the need for me to take over managing his finances. I sent this information to Alperstein asking access to his account for the purpose of managing his finances. Rather than accepting legal documents, Alperstein called my brother asking if he agreed to my access. According to Alperstein, he responded "no" to allowing access. As he suffers from Dementia, I feel that contacting him is a type of elder abuse. Alperstein continues to refuse me access now telling me I need a court order. They have also refused me access to their attorney to discuss this matter..

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I have a legally executed Power of Attorney that Alperstein is refusing to accept. Using an excuse having called the mentally ill holder of contract. 
    The reason I have POA is because said contract holder has been deemed unable to handle his finances as per statement of UVM neurologist 
    They have made it impossible for me to perform my duties in handling my brothers finances  
    This raises the question of the legitimacy of this companys decision 

    My VT attorney confirmed that my POA is properly executed and has been honored by all the companies I have contacted

    I contracted with Alperstein and Associates about debt management. I have been paying them a fee twice monthly since August, 2024. They were supposed to negotiate on my behalf with my creditors and come up with a payment plan. Not only has this not happened but one of the creditors keeps taking their monthly payment from my personal bank account. The other creditors have added interest and penalties so the amount I owe is even higher than when I started. I called Alperstein and Associates to complain, several times, when creditor payments were taken from my account but the issue was not resolved. Alperstein and Associates have done nothing but given me the runaround. I want a refund from Alperstein and Associates and the contract I have with them voided since they have not upheld their end. I dont want to pursue legal action but I will.

    In the beginning of March I requested a change to my account and sent my personal information to the companys secure email so they could change the bank account in which payments are drafted. The change to my account in which the settlements are tied to never occurred and I was supposedly submitting personal banking information after failure to secure the account over the phone. Updates never occurred, the company and the secure email are sending different names for the issues. Waiting to hear back from management for a resolution, no resolution has been provided. At this point I wish to just pay my debts off individually because the negotiations they are doing are failing and they arent the best option. Also the tactic of Fear Mongering was used when enrolling in payments because I was told one failed payment would kick me out the program, yet they failed to allow for the proper payments to happen by not changing my account information or the dates of payments which i also requested.
