complaint is surrounding Protection Program, American Water Resources billed via my PA AmericanWater bill. Invoice period 10-5 thru 11-6 received my statement where the Protection Program increased from $8.75 a mo to $38.99. Spoke to American water Resources on 11-18-24 complaining about the HUGE increase in plan protection and was not advised of the increase. Wanted it cancelled immediately. I pd. the $8.75 reducing my bill by the $30.24. They were to credit me $30.24 for this statement. The $8.75 would be prorated in the next bill. They did NOT credit the 10-5 thru 11-6-24 bill where the initial increase occurred.Invoice period 11-7 thru 12-5-24 now showed $30.24 as a balance forward and the $8.75 as well. They refused to credit the $30.24 stating because I did not pay it they could not credit. I paid $77.77 the adjusted bill I saw on line. (total bill showing $30.24 balance forward + current water charges $48.84 + $8.75 protection plan that should have been prorated total bill was $87.83, but on line statement showed the balance due of $77.77 of which I paid. Disgusted with the *** and our conversation that was going no where.Invoice today for period 12-6 thru 1-7-25 now shows $10.06 as past due balance forward, this was brought forward from prior statement. Spoke to ***************** and again they would not credit stating it should have been paid. This has been nothing bu horrible and it all started with the HUGE increase back on the 10-5 to 11-6-24 billing date.

I have purchased and maintained a policy for sewer line protection through AWR (American Water Resource). I have used this policy in the past (more than 12 months ago) to clear my sewer clean out located on the roof. I placed a call on Monday January 13th 2025 when my sewer line began backing up (sewage coming in through my lower level shower). The terms and conditions do not exclude my home or the type of clean out I have from service but AWR has not been helpful in resolving this and continues to cite terms that do not apply (Ie will not enter though wall or remove fixtures). Additionally, I have spoken to multiple people and been given contradicting information regarding their policies. I was told to hire a private plumber and get reimbursed and after receiving the paper work it was stated that I needed written approval before the work starts. They have yet to provide that. I was told by an "in network" plumber that they will not go on roofs for AWR because of the coverage they get from them (I don't know if he was referring to liability or payment). He then told me I could hire them to do the job and they will go on my roof and utilize the clean out but not through American Water Resource. So even though I pay for a policy and coverage through this company I would have to hire and pay a plumber who is in network and get reimbursed by them to complete the job. This would cost me $775 before tax out of pocket. I feel that *** is acting in bad faith, no where in our agreement or the Terms and Conditions there-in does it state that they will not use roof access. An agent even told me that it was "illegal" to go on the roof- I live in **, this is untrue. I was told many times I would receive a call back from a manager.

I have an account with *******************************************. My daughter used her Credit Card to pay a one months bill and I wanted to change the credit card, acknowledging it was not mine and my daughters and she does not wisht to have additional charged. I wanted to update on line and NOT provide my personal account information to a person I do not know who is working from home and the security of the information is unknown. I informed American Resources that the credit card was only authorized once, it is not my credit card and I need to obtain login info. I was informed that the company has a long standing issue of login availability. I informed them that if they charge my daughters credit card again, it would be fraud. They did not care! I have tried over and over to gain entry to the online portal and the online guide only reverts me back to start a new account. When I do so, the online portal states I have an account. I have emailed the company multiple times and contacted them. They do not help. No one returns a call and no one cares.

I have cancelled my "enrollment" in American Water Resources protection program(s) three times by speaking with alleged **************** representatives. I have been assured that my "enrollment" is cancelled. The phone calls have all been recorded but I have never been provided access to the recordings nor have I received any confirming email or written communications from the business. This business has repeatedly added and continues to add its services to my water bill. I have today (1/13/2025) received confirmation of my alleged enrollment date December 5, 2024.I am enrolled in auto pay for my water bill. To date I have paid $59.63 for the cancelled protection programs. My January bill will add $18.66 to that amount for a total of $78.29

I am rejecting this response because:

I have not been contacted by American Water Resources. I received two calls from ************, one on 1/22/25 and one on 1/23/25.There was no identification with the number. I do not answer unidentified numbers. I back traced the number to something called NICOR. I received two VM from that number. A person called Jade asked me return the call. She said she was from American Water Resources. The number she gave for me to call was ************ in ******, **. I called that number three times on 1/25/25. The recorded message said that Jade was out of the office for ten days from 1/14/25. I was calling 11 DAYS after Jade was supposed to be back in the office. The same recorded message played. Although the message did not say I could leave a message and did not beep to leave a message, I did. I do not know if my message was recorded. Since I filed this complaint I have yet again been billed by American Water Resources. A THIRD billing of $29.76 including showing $29.76 PAST DUE. I called American Water NJ, my water supplier and ******. They said they show the service was cancelled but they have no control over American Water Resources continuing to submit ******** to them.

American Water Resources (AWR) appreciates the opportunity to respond to your January 24, 2025, correspondence regarding the complaint filed **** ******.

We appreciate the opportunity to address Ms.Taylors concerns regarding her recent experience with AWR.

On December 5, 2024, Ms. ****** contacted us to cancel her protection programs due to a price increase. Her account was reinstated with a discount provided by our sales agents. However, she called back on December 16, 2024, to cancel the programs again because she had not received the new confirmation of enrollment or the credit adjustment for the previous contracts. The changes were made to the account 11 days prior, but the agent did not explain that it would take 1 to 2 billing cycles for this to be reflected on her water bill. Ms. ****** called back on January 17, 2025, to advise that the credits were still not reflected on her account. Her complaint was not fully addressed, prompting her to file a complaint with your office.

An escalations specialist has tried reaching ********* multiple times to inform her that a credit adjustment was submitted for the credits added after cancellation. She must allow 1 to 2 billing cycles for this to be reflected. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We encourage Ms. ****** to contact us with any further questions or concerns.

I have insurance for over 2 years through American water resources ******************************************************** I had a small amount of water backing up in my basement about 1 inch in the back quarter of the bsmnt. I called this company opened a claim. *** sent out a company called ******* plumbing. They came out they walked down two steps of my basement and explain that they were incapable of pumping water out of my basement. I should have known right then this was not a proper plumbing *** But I got it pumped out. It took ******* so long to return I had to call **** again. To find out that ******* had closed my case they reopen the case and gave me a new claim number. ******* closed my case again without coming out or doing any work to diagnose. I told *** to send a different company I did not want them out to my house again. They agreed they would send a different company. That never happened. I called back they said that ******* said this was 3rd party damage is not covered. I stated I had this insurance for over 2 years. There could be no 3rd party. They said they would get a new company out here. I contacted them after the holidays to see what the holdup was now. The claim was then closed. I now call back after the holidays and they tell me it's now closed as it is sewer repairs needed and they don't cover that! I purchased outdoor sewer and waterline, I was then sold indoor emergency plumbing Then sold gas line coverage if I had a sewer line repair the gas line could be involved. I was then sold indoor electric protection. I call **** they constantly change the claim repair to something 'not covered'. I paid my water line and sewer line coverage for 2 years now I need the repairs they told me I was paying for covered.

Hello *** I have been a customer of ********************** home warranty company for few years.I submitted service request to my home warranty company American Water Resources for kitchen sink clogging on Saturday 1/4/2025. They have sent a plumber from ******************************** on Tuesday 1/7/2025. The plumber ran the water and the kitchen sink was filling up without draining and there was no leaks. After confirming clogged drain he attempted to clear the clog . Instead of using 1/4 cable he used 1/2 or bigger cable and damaged the drain pipe . When he ran the water kitchen floor was flooded. He informed me he has to cut the sheet rock to get access to the pipe to fix the leak. He said he will submit the request and the insurance company will pay for the repairs.Since then I am calling the insurance company every day and I spoke to the supervisor also . They are not able to decide who has to pay for the expense. Now it is almost one week since I submitted the claim. I am struggling with non working kitchen sink and dishwasher.

******* ***** is enrolled in our In Home and Sewer Line Protection Programs. Mr. ***** contacted *** on December 31st and January 7 to report a blockage in his internal drain lines. A claim was established, and a contractor assessed the issue, determining that the customer has an improper installation of his kitchen drains. American Water Resources offers "protection programs" related to my utility needs and I am billed through my water company, American Water (a separate company). I see a $48.85 charge each month on my water bill for 7 protection programs I have with American Water Resources. I recently (a few months ago) set up an on-line account to see a listing of the 7 programs and what I was being billed for each. However, the account I set up is "blank" and shows no programs. Several attempts over the past few months to resolve my issue has not been successful. I should know what I'm being billed for. ************************************ (###-###-####) is my last contact. I need my on-line account fixed.

I have a water pipe warranty with this company. They repaired it but it took a couple months for them to get someone to do it. Every time I called , almost daily they were more interested in selling additional coverage. It took so long to fix that the water company doesnt give me full adjustment. My bill is usually 50 dollars a month. Today I had to pay $1050.00 to keep are on. This is because the warranty company took too long to respond and fix it. I think they owe me what I had to pay today
