Since opening my *** credit card account on 2/9/23, I have experienced several issues with billing/payment. *** will charge you a late fee even if the payment is being submitted on the date that it is due. For instance, the credit card payment is due on the 17th of each month. If you make a payment on the 17th, the payment is considered 'late'. *** expects you to go into your account and set up a payment several business days before your payment is due...to have it delivered by the due date...basically, it will draft your account before the payment is even due... another option is to pay an additional fee to have it delivered next day... regardless, there is no option to make a payment on the 17th without it being considered late even with paying additional fees. Most recently, I spent several hours on the phone with customer service on 11/17/23, attempting to troubleshoot how to make a payment to prevent it from being 'late' and there was no option to have it delivered by the 17th. I have never heard of a company that didn't want to accept my payment on the due date. It is absurd.I have contacted customer service several times in the past as this process doesn't make sense and there is no other option to make a payment from an external account. They suggested transferring money from my external account to my *** savings account and then making a payment to avoid fees and to ensure it was received the same day; however, the transfer was rejected. This was not a viable option. Still to this day, I have not been able to set this up. It is like they are either A.) Trying to avoid paying external credit card transaction fees as a company or B.) Forcing customers to use the *** savings/checking account to avoid fees. All I am asking is for my late fees to be waived and to allow my account to be set up to where I can transfer money from an external account to my *** savings account to avoid paying late fees and/or additional fees, simply to make a payment.

I am writing because a deposit was sent to GTE ******************** in ERROR I had an account that was closed and charged off. The debt was than sent to a third party collection agency, and after GTE received the deposit in ERROR they refused to reverse the deposit on a CLOSED account. An account that was sold and I no longer owe GTE the debt it was sold to the third party debt collector. I than told the Branch Manager that I would file a complaint with ******* financial regulations debt collections and she than rudely told me she could NOT speak with me anymore and hung up on me. These type of predatory services should not be allowed.
