I tried to reach the financial professional who sold me the policy ten years ago but his phone has been disconnected for a year or so that I know. Talking to their customer reps about anything other than ********* number and last four of my social is just like talking to a wall. Theyre aggressively indifferent. Unbelievable.

I requested a copy of my term life insurance policy and was told by Prudential they do not give out copies of their policies. During my conversation I stated what happens if I die by a truck driver that is drunk or I jump out of a plane. Will you cover my policy? Without a written copy of the policy how can my wife argue in court they need to pay? Not giving out a copy of the policy is a HUGE advantage to Prudential. They just type into the policy "won't pay if death by drunk truck driver", or "won't pay if death by jumping out of a plane". Who will argue since we have no copy of the policy. We paid 10 years on the policy and I'm not sure if this policy exist. If you do buy one of their policies, please get the written policy before you sign anything.

I wish I didn't have to give ANY stars. My parents paid on their policies for decades then when they passed away, I had trouble getting both policies paid out. It nearly took an act of congress just to get some of the funds. I still don't have a full pay out for my mother and she has outstanding bills that MUST be paid ASAP. I'm so sad my parents chose this company; I guess Prudential invested money into marketing to get folks on the hook, then took their premium and left the families high and dry. This company's schemes should be illegal.

YOU WILL BE SORRY! LYING THIEVES, 40 YEARS OF IT. I bought a small life insurance policy as a young single woman, intended only to pay my funeral expenses so no family member had to come up with the money. I have asked my family to give me the cheapest cremation possible. My father was the original beneficiary. Then I got married and changed the beneficiary to my husband. Thirteen years later he wanted a divorce and I have not seen him since and have no idea if he's even still alive. I told Prudential I wanted to change the beneficiary to my brother. Prudential said I had to have written permission from my ex husband to take him off the policy that I bought and paid for myself before I married him. It took SEVENTEEN YEARS to get Prudential to take my ex husband off as beneficiary and put my brother on. If I had died in the meantime, Prudential would have just said they couldn't locate the beneficiary and they would have kept the money. Now, more than 20 years later, they still take all my dividends and give them to themselves to buy me more "paid up insurance" that I don't need, and have told them I don't want, and have asked that they send me a check. Two years ago I spoke to one of their representatives who said she would stop this and there was no reason they couldn't have stopped it when I asked, and here I am with another notice for how much additional paid up insurance they have added to my policy. When I call the number on my policy I get a call center in ***** with incomprehensible so-called English. Prudential Insurance are thieves and con men, and if you check you will find their customer ratings are "well below normal for the insurance industry". By the way, I used to drive past a burned out hulk of a house every day on my way to work. After a year, the owner spray painted across the front "I own a piece of the rock". This all should tell you everything you need to know about Prudential.

Have 1 star only because its the only way to leave review! Shameful Company. They dont give you anything but runaround. They are not consistent at all in providing answers or updates. I struggled with them to get my Company short term disability and pay. I had to go months without any pay. Then had to roll over to Long term disability and again its been months waiting for approval and payments I have had to apply for food stamps, state medical as Company medical cant be paid for without any income!! And how do they expect me to buy paper products. I have lost cable, had to put my house in forbearance for 6 months. All other bills going to collections! But Im still employed I just cannot work due to COVID long haul symptoms! This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with! I have informed my company I will never recommend Prudential to a single person! NO STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!! ***************************

They are hagglers, not an insurance company. My doctor sent records stating I should be out for six weeks, and Prudential is saying no, two weeks is enough per their guidelines. What's disappointing is that they made the two weeks decision before they even receive my doctor's ********** Again, a bunch of hagglers.
