Hello **** this is private property, please understand that this property is privately owned and the business establishments on this property are privately owned, buildings and parking lot are rented from the property owner. This guy put a boot on my vehicle in **** parking lot and try to hustle me for $200 I I was headed to emergency room and my tooth was. Causing pain so I stopped at close by parking spot to seek medical attention I couldnt seek medical attention I went back to my car to get my insurance card and there was a boot on my car. I begged cried and asked for him to give me a chance he told me he wish he could but it too late I then asked if he take credit card he told me the machine is down I told him I dont have cash he said he would take me to the atm he took me to the atm I took out the money but was feeling funny I called my friend and he told me it was illegal for him to do that my friend asked him for a business card the. Puerto Rican man said he does not have a business card panicking we gave up the $200 coming to find out I called another friend and they told me if the guy was still in the lot while you were there he was not suppose to charge $200 for boot removal it was suppose to be $25. Above parked on private property, signs all posted, did not utilize the I hop restaurant. The procedures that were listed are made up we accept cash or credit cards, our information is posted on our signs technicians do not and are not required to carry business cards they have Identifications and licenses from the City of Newark , not a scam! You stated in your complaint that you parked in the lot to seek medical attention this is not a hospital or doctors office its private parking for I hop or the other 2 entities not your personal parking lot Hospital has plenty of paid parking spaces. We take Cash or credit cards the Machine is on wifi if it's down at that moment we cannot take a credit card. The receipt is a valid receipt with our information on it, which is better than a computer receipt. As long as you get something that you paid the VIOLATION FOR PARKING ON PRIVATE PROPERTY that's all you need to support your payment. Predatory business, literally stalking business for the $200 fine. I was gone less than 3 minutes and back and there was the boot..the guy had to be watching, insisted on cash only and directed me to the nearest ATM. Not nastily but clearly in a predatory style of business. If this is legal, I believe time constraints should be applicable since theses guys are sitting around watching. To have to pay $200 for less than 5 mins and someone watching is down right predatory. I realize the private property rights but the prices should be scaled especially since these guys are watching you and these lots are deserted, and businesses closed. I feel like they owe me some money back. Following up for when they get sued for predatory practices.Safeway Parking Enforcement LLC

Thank you for your customer review, however there is no time limit when we are called, we respond in some cases the technician may be on site, called and boots a vehicle there's no one to say that didn't happen in this case. As for the pricing g we are within the guidelines, and actually lower than our competitors, charge no additional charges and all in compliance. Licensed by the City of ****** and State of **********. Unethical business. Abandoned lot with a closed business was Not clearly marked with signs or were faded and not legible. Paid the $200 and will be following up with the City and State to find out if they are operating legally in that lot or any other around the City.Safeway Parking Enforcement LLC

On Wed, April 10, my friends and I parked at Safeway parking and left the premise. When she returned, she noticed that her vehicle was booted. When we called the company, they alleged that the signs were clear about it being a private parking lot when in fact there were only three signs across a parking entire parking. They allege that there is a sign when you enter the parking lot, but that sign is only visible if you are making a right turn into the parking lot. If you are making a left turn, it is impossible to see the sign. The other two signs are spread across the lot and not visible unless you are actively looking for them. When I tried contacting the customer support number to talk to a non-dispatch representative (***) 242-5846, the number was not in service, leaving us to speak with a very very disrespectful dispatch agent. When I asked to speak with the owner or someone else, the dispatcher said the owner doesnt want to get involved and that there is no other way to reach other representatives. When the collector comes to collect money, they only take cash and do not offer a receipt unless asked. Safeway Parking is clearly a predatory company that preys on people in a predominantly low-income neighborhood. They can argue all they like that what they do is within the boundaries of the law, but they wont last long. Im very surprised that LA Fitness and ****** would employ the services of an organization that doesnt respect the community it is in. I wont be visiting those locations anymore. Maybe Safeway should use all the cash payments that they get from exploiting poor people to have better and more explicit signage. If they are unable to do this it might be because they themselves cant afford the cost of the space, and if its the case that they are in a strong financial position, then they are actively choosing to exploit people and be deceitful. Sorry for your dissatisfaction in our services. Signage is posted in the entrance of the drive, to be exact right in the middle where the island separates the entrance and exit one car width each Sign is 4foot by 4 foot , this is private property and not parking for all other entities in the area. You didn't patronize ************* or LA Fitness, you parked you vehicle on private property, left same and conducted your personal business elsewhere all the time taking up paying customers parking spaces for ******* Donuts and LA Fitness. We are a reputable business that accepts all forms of payment and gives receipts for all transactions. I understand you are upset that you Had to be paid please be truthful we are extremely professional, licensed by *********** , **************, and are not a predator on citizens of ****** or a specific area. The absolute scum of the earthparked in a lot on ************* that was maybe 1/8 fullwent into the ************* and sat there for a good 30 minuteswent back to my car and sat in the car to finish the coffee I just purchased at said Dunkinpiece of s*** parking guyis literally parked next to me as I spent the next 45 minutes enjoying my coffee, trying to deal with the stress of my wife having a procedure across the streetI realize my phone has lost nearly all its charge and I notice theres a Rite Aid maybe **** yards away(probably not that far)maximum 11 minutes later, I come back to my car with a boot on ittwo days before thanksgiving??? I am sorry you feel this way, but actually you parked your vehicle on private property and left the location, the business entities have been victimized by individuals like you who attempt to utilize there parking spaces unlawfully and leave the property to take care of their personal business while paying customers have to be inconvenienced and not have a parking space, once your business is complete on the property you can not leave Your car to attend to your personal business elsewhere, signage posted all in compliance. You had a bad experience because you parked on Private property, were treated professionally and respectfully, if you become disrespectful you will be treated with the same professionalism or left by yourself, to yell, scream and create a scene. we are not there to be threatened, disrespected or placed in a comprising position.
