      Dear *********** am writing to EXPOSE NJ EZ PASS FOR alleging insufficient funds in my E-ZPass account. I submitted a dispute including my EZ pass number on the back on the invoice as the directions clearly stated. I then faxed my dispute back on 3/14/25 which was successfully sent , and i also kept my transmission fax report. ( this was done within the 10 day ***** period) This claim is erroneous, as I have an active autopay arrangement in place to ensure my account always maintains adequate funds.Upon receiving the violation notice, I promptly reviewed my E-ZPass account and confirmed that the autopay feature is enabled and functioning correctly. This system automatically replenishes my account balance as needed, preventing any instances of insufficient funds. Therefore, the assertion that my account lacked sufficient funds is *************, I have collections notice for an error on NJ EZ-PASS behalf.also i have attempted to call on multiple occasions and i can not get to a representative and wait times are longer than 30 mins although the QUE states on 25 mins

      Something has to be done about the EZ-Pass business. If the ******************** doesn't want to hire toll collectors that's fine. IT IS ROBBERY FOR EZ-PASS TO MAKE ME PAY $50.85 FOR AN $.85 TOLL. There has to be some branch of government in New Jersey that can stop this tyranny. You cannot force me to buy a product that i don't want. I don't travel the Parkway and I don't need to be penalized because I don't want to buy their product.

      The absolute worst customer ********************** ever!!!! Not only did I have to sit on hold for over an hour multiple times but I was told that my account was in good standing only to get a letter from a lawyer two weeks later after ez pass sent me to collections. The best part of the whole thing is that the balance that was sent to collections was not for tolls all tolls are paid, it was for a50 dollar fee for each toll that the ez pass transponder did not read. When i got the statement from ezpass i disputed the tolls as i am a expass customer they took the tolls out of ********************** account but send the fees to collection anyway, this is the 7 time this has happened. I have 5 cars under my account and its always the same transponder that has trouble. I even requested a new one but they insists it how we drive and not the transponder. Also is it a requirement to work for them you have to be a rude nasty person ? I have yet to find one present person who works here. If I could have given them negative stars I would have!!!

      This company is the biggest scam. Charged $150 for tolls under $10 and we have EZ Pass. Completely criminal. I will drive the longest route there is to avoid NJ. An absolute disgrace.

      If I could leave 0 stars I would. As a long time customer of over a decade, it has been frustrating to contact ANYONE. Cannot access your account online if its locked, a service request takes TEN BUSINESS DAYS TO BE RESPONDED TO. EZ PASS has a monopoly on toll transponders in the tri state area and we should NOT be subjected to their abuse. No one has time to sit on hold for over TWENTY MINUTES AT A TIME. Why offer your website to be used if you cannot unlock your account yourself. I have filed a complaint with the department of justice, **************************** and NJ consumer affairs. This is consumer abuse.

      I had a rental car registered to my EZPass account, but instead of billing my EZPass, they forwarded the bill to the rental car company. This is a very basic feature that they should have figured out in the first year of operations. Here we are in year 26 of operations and they don't fully support rental cars yet.

      This company is a criminal organization and threatens legal actions on false basis. ******* organization that charges current valid ezpass customer with violations for hundreds of dollars over 80 cents. I have an account that was not charged and they claim I'm in violation when I have a positive balance.

      I believe they operate under an unfair and predatory business model. My story is similar to many others Ive read about EZ Pass NJ. I had a transponder and an active account, and I drove through a booth where their reader did not work.Months later I received a letter claiming I owed $13 in tolls (which I did) and $50 in processing fees. I went to file an appeal, but EZ Pass NJ only allows New Jersey residents to file appeals online. Since I have an EZ Pass from **, I had to mail in my appeal, which I did within the absurdly short 10-day window they provide.EZ Pass NJ rejected my written appeal, claiming they never received it.I paid the $13 in tolls I owed. Now, ********** has used a collection company to pursue the $50 processing fee they are charging me because their equipment didnt work. Calling customer ********************** is a nightmare.Their business model seems to be: the more incompetent they are (with their equipment, billing department, or customer ***********************, the more revenue they generate.

      I was overcharged and I account was a negative $80 so I contacted them telling I will not pay $80 for a toll fee they charged me, I have a small car why was my toll $80 . They closed my account and I am still waiting for a refund. I been with nj ezpass for years and this was the first time I ever seen something like this before and still it hasnt been resolved.

      I recently went to ** for 2 nights for the first time ever to visit a friend that was ill & a short mini vacay and i am not currently an ezpass holder, so i waited for the toll bill in the ******** paid all the tolls & asked them to waive 4 administrative fees (seeing as I've never been to ** before) which they only waived one fee. So in total I paid $142.00 in administrative fees just for visiting ** once. I find this to be a complete robbery to the "visitor" & will never in my life step foot in this ripoff state again!! This state must seriously lose countless visitors because of this robbery scheme they got going on...pathetic!
