I purchased admission tickets (1 booklet has 10 tkts - with NO expiration date indicated) 1 year ago but could not use many tickets due to pandemic. Finally I visited the King Spa on Sat . February 2023 and King Spa was asking to pay extra $20.00 per ticket to enter the facility. When they were selling the booklet, they said there is NO expire date and NO extra money to enter the spa. Due to any reason, suddenly demanding this extra $20.00/tkt without any notification to customers is NOT Right and they are acting in bad faith by refusing to accept these tickets.

I’ve purchased the admission tickets to the facility in the form of a booklet consisting of 10 tickets with no expiration dates 3 years ago before the pandemic. Theses tickets have no expiration date and I had bought 3 booklets but did not visit the spa due to pandemic. Last week I visited King Spa and was told I needed to pay an extra fee because the Spa had raised its prices by $10 and $20 on weekdays and weekends, respectively. When I complained to an employee, she explained that new ticket booklets now have a disclaimer that guests may have to pay additional fees subject to price increases. But these tickets from previous years do not have any disclaimers and the tickets should be accepted for whatever amount it was sold for. The reason for buying in bulk was because they said they were raising the admission price soon and that it would benefit me to buy in bulk while it would be cheaper to buy before the price went up. I believe King Spa is acting in bad faith by refusing to honor these tickets, which were meant to fully cover the admission and should not be affected by their new policy.

I purchased admission tickets the company offered 3 years ago. It was sold as a booklet consisting of 10 admission tickets with no expiration date indicated and I was told these do not expire. In addition, there was no fine print about having to pay a surcharge in case of future price increases. I did not visit the spa due to the pandemic until January 2 when I was asked to pay $20 extra. The ticket I presented was for ADMISSION, rather than an exchangeable dollar value and King Spas practice of asking people to pay extra when they already have an admission ticket feels a bit fraudulent.

I had purchased a 10 Admission Ticket Booklet (no expiration date) during pre-pandemic. As I went this past weekend 2/11 to King Spa with my niece, I was told to pay an extra $20 pp for admission on top of my ticket. They had posted a sign stating from Jan 2023, they will start charging an extra $10 (weekday) and $20 (weekend) per entrance ticket. This is completely unethical to customers who have previously purchased multi ticket booklets like myself and that I want them to honor these without additional charge. I would also like a credit back of $40 for the two tickets I had used that they had unfairly charged extra for.

    Business Response

After the pandemic, King Spa has inevitably increased the price due to inflation. Overall, labor cost, electricity and water rates have risen too much, so this is the first time in 5 years that the admission price has been raised. The admission ticket, which used to be $60, has been raised to $70 on weekdays and $80 on weekends. Those who have purchased admission tickets before that can accept the $60 value and pay $10 on weekdays and $20 on weekends. The coupon you bought before is not Free Admission, but the $60 value is reflected in each admission ticket. So now, if you enter with the same ticket, you just need to pay $10 on weekdays and $20 on weekends. If you still insist to want a refund, Please bring your receipt and we'll refund it to you . We will repay you with better service for the price increase due to inflation. Thank you for your understanding.
