We had new vinyl flooring put down in our kitchen with very shotty work completed by the install team. Our carpet was damaged in the process due to them ripping up the tack strip when removing the old vinyl flooring (carpet was no longer secured under the NEW transition strip that they installed). The same employees came out a week later to address the minor issues with the fraying of the base borards but then thought it would be ok to just put a massive amount of glue down under my carpet to "fix" the problem. I spoke to a call center associate informing her that the glue is not the proper way to address the issue and asked that they send someone out that deals with carpet and she just gave me a whole run around, refusing to take accountability for the workers terrible completed job. Instead, she tried to blame a company I had out the week PRIOR to *** for the damage and expressed to me that I needed to call them to fix it. This was not an issue AT ALL until ACS removed and installed my new flooring. During the run around on the phone I was hung up on, placed on hold for over an hour, and then finally told a manager would call me back to address this issue; which never happened- thanks "****". I ended up having the company who previously stretched my carpet come back out to fix the issue *** had made, and they confirmed that the tack strip was removed hence why the carpet was lifting and not staying under the transition strip. This called for more money out of my pocket to have it fixed properly. See all attached photos along with the after photo done by another company on the carpet area. Needless to say, the base boards that were not finished off on the edges properly, my original base boards that are now cracking and sperating from my walls, and the one vinyl plank that was cut with a ***** blade during install did not get addressed due to me not wanting them to touch another thing in my home.American Carpet South

However, we recognize that the carpet separation created a valid concern. Because the carpet had been restretched shortly before our work, our recommendation was to have that original provider reassess the stretch. That said, we regret how that message was delivered and acknowledge that our communication with you fell short.We understand you've since resolved the carpet issue with another provider. Please know you still have an active labor warranty through ***, valid through 6/26/2026 for any additional service requests you may need. 1 starWorst Experience ever !! Had full house carpeted in 2022 and saw a seam in a major portion of the job. Installers said give it time and it won't be as visible. Had them back about 6-9 months later and they tried to "re-stretch" the carpet but still showed the seam. Told us to have it cleaned and that would solve it. Still visible 6 months later , they came back and "yrimmed the carpet at the seam with a scissors. Still no improvement. Ended up talking to **** , some sort of installation manager, who sent out a third team. They arrived, took one look at the seam and said "the pattern is not matched correctly and that's why the seam shows.Needs to be ripped out." Since that visit **** won't take my phone calls and it appears litigation is my only recourse. Trying to work through **********...we'll see how it goes.Review fromElie J

Worst sevice I have ever had. They came to my house for flooring installation. Job was unfinished, cracks and scratches. Very unprofessional. When i called them back they showed up and minutes after they left without shooting a word..never came back...Avoiiiiidd thesse people ***********************American Carpet South

5 starsWe had two wonderful experiences with the *** installing crews. We bought vinyl flooring and carpet from ********** and *** set up the installation of the vinyl for one day with the carpet the following day. We couldnt be happier with the professional work done on both jobs. Further, the carpet installers had to move heavy furniture out of two bedrooms and did it perfectly and quickly. 2 starsToday I had 2 projects for my floors the 2 Hispanic guys that ********** use work for ACS Company I thought they were knowledgeable and ready to do the job. They came unprepared. I asked them Where's the plywood to put on the floor before installing the floors he said nothing he asked me what area I needed done I showed it to them 2 section I already told them I paid. He started working on my hallway then he's walking out with the rest of my materials that's left over I went outside calling him to bring my materials and finish he didn't do the second job I already paid for so he then said he'll call his boss because he doesn't know anything about the second project. One thing I'm disappointed of he's ignoring me and taking my materials and disregarded what I said. Didn't listen and was very rude with me. I called the company to explain then got put on hold for a long time so I then contacted ********** then they put me on hold. I then got a call from ACS apologize said for the inconvenience that occurred and they'll finished the job. I don't think they should be working for ACS.Review fromDianne S

Hello, I spoke with ***************************, Installation Manager of American Carpet South, (ACS), telling him how unhappy I was when I saw the carpet being cut in the street. He said, "well that's how it's done for the size of carpet". He was very, very nasty and repulsive when speaking to me! He also lied and said that installers would clean the area, (section of street where new carpet was cut) which was not done. (he asked me if the street had oil marks on it, what does this mean?!?). Additionally, **********************, continue to be very arrogant and condescending in his tone with me. I have spoken to the following ***********, (HomeDepot) *****************, Supervisor (ACS) of ********************** and ****, (ACS, resolution department) to file a complaint with them and Better Business Bureau regarding ********************** and his condescension, rude, and sarcastic business practices! ****, (ACS, ********************** will be reaching out to me tomorrow for intention to resolve this matter. ****** SAmerican Carpet South

Not only did they NO SHOW once, they NO SHOWED TWICE!! I ended up asking for a full refund from Home Depo. I went to a lot of trouble prepping the areas for installation, also missing a day of work therefore missing a days pay.Had I of read reviews on BBB I would of never bought carpet from Home Depo knowing ACS were the installers.American Carpet South

Absolutely worst company to deal with. After they botched my carpet install and baseboard they asked me to get a quote to fix the hack job they did by damaging my baseboard they refused to honor the quote or even pay for the demanded board. Will be seeking legal as this company is horrible to deal with and they are are also jot truthful about their call logs when you call to report a problem. All ********** employees, from start to finish, were very helpful.I wish we had seen the reviews before going down the rabbit hole of miscommunication that is ACS. We ordered a bound stair runner (NOT wall to wall) through ********** and scheduled the install (was to be a single-day, small project).Day 1 - Crew arrives and takes measurements but informs us they weren't installing that day. Their instructions were to measure only.This conflicts with the work order instructions to have a binding machine on the truck and to complete same day. A little disappointing but no big deal. We happily rescheduled for the next week and rescheduled work appointments, etc.Day 2 - One week later - different crew arrives 3 hours early (while I'm at work) and informs my wife they were taking measurements only. No binding machine on the truck. We asked to speak to a supervisor or coordinator. We explain the situation. She disregards us and the customer service rep on the phone. She asks us "since we changed our minds" do we want to go wall to wall? No customer service from the field coordinator.Day 3 - Two days later - We receive notice that the only person who can bind has called in sick, and do we want to re-schedule next week? We ask ********** to cancel the job and refund our money. ********** actually helps **.Bottom Line: avoid American Carpet South unless you enjoy canceled appointments, general mayhem, and lies.American Carpet South
