1 starAmerican Carpet South is a ****************. We purchased carpet through ********** and American Carpet South was assigned as the sub to install it.The extortion: They arrived and claimed we had two pieces of oversized furniture that they had to charge us an extra $200 to move (by only a few feet) or else they wouldn't install the carpet. Quite the scam, considering we had carpet installed by ********** and another sub a few years ago in the exact room and furniture, without the need for American Carpet South's extra A**** tax. Obviously, they are looking for ways to pad their profits.The installation: They did the job they were paid to do, they installed the carpet.The cleanup: We had to spend an extra hour cleaning up all the carpet fibers left behind. Moreover, they left a big pile of carpet demo debris (including nails) in our driveway that we had to further clean up.Hard pass on this company.Review fromJackie J

********** contracted "American Carpet South" to install my tile. The installers were courteous; however their work was sloppy. Per the installer's recommendation; I walked on the tile 48 hours following completion. I inspected their work, and detected the following discrepancies:* sloppy or missing caulking in some areas,* many holes in grout, and missing grout,* Qtr round not flush with floor (1/4 gap) in bathroom, * should have installed metal vice wood Qtr round at one place , and * unleveled tiles.I phoned the install manager, acting store manager, and sent an email to the ********** Floor Department. All were slow to respond - others did not respond at all. My plan to move furniture to the tiled area has been delayed. This is **not** the exceptional and professional work I had anticipated.
