This is a supplemental complaint via American Home Shield. Di Dolce was assigned to us via AHS to service our AC unit. They rescheduled on us twice, and finally came to our home on 7/25/24 (our claim has been opened since 7/2/24). When they came out on 7/25, the technician stated we needed a brand new AC unit, and the information was to be submitted to AHS within 24 hours, so we can get this issue resolved. To date, *** has claimed the information was never submitted by Di Dolce. I've followed up numerous times and have left messages on Di Dolce's voicemail, and have yet to receive a resolution.Initial Complaint

This company was dispatched twice by American Home Shield. It took over a week for them to come out to the initial visit. They give an entire day with no window to you and say if you dont answer the phone when they call the day of service that they will cancel it. This alone is frustrating. They came out the first time very quickly and supposedly diagnosed a crack in the pipe and repaired it and said they also added *****. They said they fixed my AC unit. Well, The unit was not fixed. I am still having the same issues that the temperature is way above what the thermostat is set too. I called again and it again took almost two weeks to get on their schedule. By the time they came back out the situation worsened and water started leaking from the unit in my basement. Water damage should be some kind of an emergency right? Well I call and American Home Shield calls them every day and there is still no estimate submitted. I also noticed that the water is leaking from high up when they told me the tray is rusted, which no one can see because they didnt open up the unit to look. The pump hasnt been on in days, maybe weeks? I called this in to ask them if they could take another look. This saga has been going on from June and is still unresolved today 8/8/24. This is unacceptable for many reasons. This is a daily mess to clean. I am at the mercy of this company and American home shield to get their act together and get this repair done.Initial Complaint

2 repaireman came out to fix my Mini -Split system. They were sent by American Home Shield. I had a service contract with AHS. The technician looked at the inside and outside ***** and reported that I have no freon and there may be a leak. He was going to ask AHS if they would cover his examination for a leak . He told me my contract does not cover freon and the out of pocket cost to me would be about $1500. He said he would get back to me in 2 days.He neither got back to me or AHS. I got fed up with AHS and called my own contractor. He came and said the system was working and that I had not used the remote properly. he was there 20 minutes. I was angry with this Company and also AHS because they kept assigning him to me. I am done with both of them! This Company scames seniors.Initial Complaint

Service request through American Home Shield DMC came out on May 6th, communicated that a new motor was needed and would take a few days for the part.No response after 2 weeks. Followed up and they said that they are waiting for part. DMC made an appointment to come back out with new part on Tuesday, June 11th. They never showed and did not answer my calls. *** called and they said they never got the part. After another week of that, I called AHS and DMC was supposed to send AHS authorization that they are unable to get the part. As of 6.25.24, no authorization to AHS and I have no progress on my AC unit.Initial Complaint

This business is simply one of the worst HVAC companies out there. American Home Shield really needs to drop them immediately. The technicians were extremely unprofessional, rude, and condescending. To start, two men came to my home to work on a faulty air conditioning unit. They came 2 hours late and stayed for OVER 7 HOURS. They CONSTANTLY belittled me. From the very beginning, they behaved obnoxiously and acted as if I didnt know anything. Then, the two men entered my personal bathroom adjacent to my bedroom without warning. I have absolutely no idea what they did in there. What I do know, however, is that my sink was left with oily dirt covering the ENTIRE BOWL. I have absolutely no idea how two men working on an HVAC system can leave an entire sink bowl CAKED in oily dirt. I had to throw away my toothbrush just at the thought that it was close to all the dirt in the sink. At the end of the day, the two men informed me that they would need to come back the next day to finish the job. This service was totally unacceptable by even the bare minimum of standards. The technicians were extremely obnoxious.Initial Complaint

This is the worst HVAC company in the entire world. I am a combat disabled veteran. I had an issue during the cold winter with my system not heating my home. My warranty company contacted this company to come out and repair my system. They came out and took my money. They never diagnosed the problem or came back to do any repairs. They left me high and dry. I got kids in my house and one off them got sick from the house being cold. I waited for over a month for this company to come back to my house and they never did. Be careful, this company will take your money and rip you off.Initial Complaint

I had a service contract with American Homeshield: They sent DMC to my house in JUNE to evaluate my AC unit. I was told I would need an entire new unit, it would cost me out of pocket an additional 7K because they do not cover the removing of the unit, remodeling, etc. They told me that it was illegal to recahrge the unit, that it would need more than 6lb, etc. This seemed like too much. So I sought a second opinion on my own, and as I assumed he was able to recharge my system, with less than 6lb, for a few hundred dollars and save me thousands. I called AHS multiple times, trying to the diagnostic report, etc, nothing ever happened. *** reached out and spoke to the receptionist every 2 weeks for over 2 months. They requested a diagnostic report so they could get me an estimate, and to date never recieved it. He was even trying to convince me how to "word" it so I could get AHS to pay for the more expenisve part. They closed the claim, said it was completed and that they returned two days later -- however no one ever returned, the work was never done, they refused to fix my AC unit, told me it was against the law, they wanted to only repalce it. It is now OCTOBER, still never resolved, still never recevied a diagnostic report etc. It was FRAUD, they were trying to sell me something that wasn't needed and then upsell it so they could collect additional out of pocket costs. DMC Di Dolce Mechanical Contractors, LLC came out in their "sales" attire. They had no intentions of doing any actual work on the unit, they were there to sell a new product. AHS collected my co-pay, they were paid for their visit and dumped me. Dissapointed is a understatement.Initial Complaint

This company was hired by my insurance company American Home shield to repair my non working air conditioner. They came out on 7/25/23 after 2 weeks of making the appointment. It took them almost 3 weeks to submit their service finding to thee insurance company. It took many calls from me, AHS and intervention from BBB before they returned on 8/25/23 with the so called parts that was needed. Their technician still could not repair it stating another part is needed. I have called AHS today, they are still yet to submit the paper work for the part. This is a very inefficient company. And because of this my family has suffered in this heat. We going through another period of waiting for them to submit the paper work to AHS. This company should not be in businessBusiness Response

This customer was sent as a second opinion to check the work of AHS original reps recommended diagnosis. Since that point and time AHS informed us they sent the call back to the original vendor. There is nothing we can do since the warranty company dictated how we proceed.Customer Answer
