      On Monday April 14th 2025 I went to give my beautiful loving cat a bath. His name was **** by the way. He was perfectly happy and healthy. I gave **** a bath around 5pm EST. Around 9:30PM EST My wife informed me that she was ready to go to bed. So I got up and started assisting getting all the animals settled for the night and the rest of the stuff that we needed to do. I walk by the bedroom door. All I see is this white and grey cat just laying on the floor. My first instinct was like normal, Im going to go over and pet him. As soon as I touched him I noticed that he was stiff. My cat **** had died. **** was a rescue from the humane society. I haven't even had him one whole year yet. I suffer every morning when I go to feed the other animals because I don't see him. Every time I walk by a cat toy I suffer because he isn't here to play with them. Every time I go to the bathroom I suffer because I don't see his white paws poking under the door trying to get in. Every time I am sitting down at my computer or on the couch I suffer because I don't have him there either standing on his back feet reaching up an trying to get my attention or already sitting in my lap. NO MATTER WHAT I DO I AM SUFFERING. He would even do this one thing that he would bite me, but when he would bite me he would then tug on my skin. Prior to Monday I hated it when he did that because it actually hurt a little. After Monday I would do anything to have him around to do it again. I am not the only one that has lost a cat to Hartz, yet they are still allowed to keep selling products and killing more cats. They don't care. I over all just want justice. I cant have my baby back so what else am I suppose to do? Its been 4 days now and I still cant stop crying.

      I want Hartz to explain to me and EVERY PET OWNER and person in America who has a pet that has been harmed, why they continue to use the toxic chemical TCVP in their flea collars and pet products? ... How can HARTZ be a major corporation for over 50 years without RECALLING ALL OF THE PRODUCTS MANUFACTURED BY HARTZ MOUNTAIN INDUSTRIES INC. WITH THE CHEMICAL TCVP?..
      Why has the government, including the EPA Not been informed of a ban on TCVP in pet products? TCVP is lethal and poisonous to ALL LIVING THINGS including PETS AND PEOPLE ... I want to know why products manufactured by HARTZ MOUNTAIN INDUSTRIES INC. are Not being more closely regulated by the EPA? ... Why is TCVP Not considered a deadly chemical or cancer causing agent? ... I need to know if there are any other lawsuits filed against HARTZ concerning the chemical TCVP ... I want to be part of a class action lawsuit to ban this chemical TCVP from being used in any capacity around PEOPLE and PETS ... I want to know what actions are being taken by HARTZ MOUNTAIN INDUSTRIES INC. ... I will also be reaching out to their legal dept. through this website [email protected] to get ALL OF THE ANSWERS I NEED TO THE QUESTIONS I HAVE. ... I purchased the HARTZ ULTRA GUARD Flea and Tick PRO COLOR for dogs and puppies at Walmart for less than $10.00 ... The money is not the real issue here... The issue is that HARTZ should be providing BETTER PRODUCTS FOR PETS THAT DO NOT CONTAIN THE CHEMICAL TCVP... HARTZ AND THE EPA NEED TO RECALL THESE UNSAFE PRODUCTS BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN FOUND TO CAUSE CANCER IN PETS AND PEOPLE ... WE NEED AND DEMAND BETTER NON-TOXIC PET PRODUCTS THAT ARE SAFE TO BE USED ON AND AROUND PEOPLE AND PETS... I have already left 3 voice mails with the Hartz helpline and I will be following up Monday 06-02-2024.. Hart's Registration number is #**********.. I appreciate BBB's help with these issues .. I can see that Hartz is not currently registered with the BBB.. Thank you for your time and assistance

      The Hartz Mountain Corporation received your Letter dated June 13, 2024 on June 26, 2024.

      In response to the Customer's assertions, ******************** confirms that the pesticide tetrachlorovinphos (TCVP)
      has been, and remains, fully registered with, and approved by, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
      (***) for use in Hartz's flea & tick dog and cat ******* and  spray products. Hartz also confirms there is no lawsuit pending
      against Hartz in regards to flea & tick dog collars containing TCVP. Hartz further asserts that the *** requires the reporting of 
      all adverse event for consumer pesticide products and these are available by request from the *** "freedom of information" office.  
      Hartz's TCVP collars have a  strong safety record that compares very favorably to other products offered for sale for
      control of ectoparasites in the United States. 

      Hartz has left a message for the Customer on her voicemail on Monday, June 3, 2024, the day after she left several messages on
      the Hartz Helpline. Hartz is of course willing to discuss with the Customer her complaint. However, ******************** also suggests
      she would be better advised to direct her TCVP questions and concerns to the ***.

      Purchased Hartz Flea medicine for cats from ******** It says not to use on cats under 12 weeks old, and not to use if your cat weighs under 5lbs. My cat is 2.5 years old and well over 5lbs. Within an hour, my cat was not acting her usual self, her eyes were huge and she was feeling sick, gagging and very lethargic. We had to give her a bath to wash the medicine off of her. This should not be sold anywhere in the US.

      I purchased Hartz Oatmeal Shampoo May 5, 2022 I have never used the products but I had previously been using another oatmeal brand shampoo so decided to give it a try since I had just ran out. The next weekend I gave my 1 year old Pit a bath and used said product. With in a few hours I noticed she was ******* alot. With in days she had patchs of hair missing and a rash all over her body and sores. I understand that allergies are a thing but with further review I found out this is very common from this company. Se pets have even died from using this product and the company blames it on user error. This Brand is horrible and dangerous. DO NOT USE THIS BRAND!

      Bought a Hartz Dual Action Topical for Dog and it gave my dog a terrible reaction! Foaming, throwing up, shaking and diarrhea. I dont understand why this is still in stores, all the reviews read had the same experience. Absolutely terrible company that only cares about money and not the well being of pets.
