      My audiologist Dr. ****** is excellent. My star rating for Dr ****** would be Five star if it were possible to provide a separate rating for your audiologist and the Oticon Company. I recently purchased an Oticon1 hearing aid. I have a profound hearing loss so I had Oticon add earmolds.The right ear works perfectly but the left ear did not fit properly, Dr. ****** did an excellent job making the necessary ************* addition the left ear hearing device kept shutting off and then back on several times an hour. The problem could not be fixed in the office and would have to be returned to their repair facility to determine if the mold, wire, or the electronics were causing the problem. I was told the entire right ear hearing aid components would be sent back and the return could take 1 - 2 weeks.There were no Temporary replacements available, I could be living the next two weeks with a single hearing aid having a profound hearing ******* 1star rating, wished there was a 0 star choice, was not because there was no temporary repair replacement available but rather the management of ****** had no policy in place for each of there offices to have even a single replacement available.When you pay over $6,000 for a hearing aid you expect, if a 2week repair occurs that you would not be walking the streets with a hearing aid only in one ear.There are many solutions to the problem I described above if the ***************** was concerned about their customers. ****** is selling a premium product with premium pricing. They could have a single room in one hearing life office in each state they operate in with a repair technician. Their local sales facilities have several Audiologists with hundreds of customers there is no reason a couple of ********************** aid units could not be shared between offices in the same state and be made available to their customers. ****** could expedite their repair process. I could continue, but I believe their reasons are obvious

      Very unhappy with treatment from audiologist at Hearing Life in **********. I was having problems with the charger. After several attempts to resolve the issue I was told that the problem must be something I was doing and the audiologist could not give me a lender because it would come out of her pocket. Meanwhile I am without hearing aids for a week until the unit is repaired.

      I was called last week saying it was time for a cleaning and hearing test and made an appointment for that afternoon. After checking in, I was shown to a room with someone not from the local office. After an introduction, he proceeded to talk about the newest hearing aids. Eventually, he had me try them but I didn't notice much difference and said that I was satisfied with my current set. He said that they were out of warranty but I wasn't concerned. After I had put in the test pair, he took mine and cut off the ear grip - without asking me. When I asked why he had done that, he said that piece was too long. I said I had no problem with it so he said he could fix the problem/make it like before, but I said I'd see how it felt. I regret now that I didn't have him replace his "damage" because I have since decided it feels different. Then, two days later after not wearing them since that sales pitch, I put the hearing aids in and couldn't hear anything in the right one. I put it back in the charger, saw that the green light was on, and put it back in but couldn't hear the startup tone. All evening, there was nothing coming through the right ear. It was the weekend so I had to wait two days for help. I took them in today and after being cleaned, they are now working correctly. So, in addition to the extra time and trouble to correct something the salesperson had done, I never got either a hearing exam or cleaning (that day) as the call had indicated.
