My grandmother suffers from dementia and has for atleast 5 years. We have taken over her finances over the past year because my grandfather has pasted away. We have notice a charge coming out of her account in the amount of $18.35 a month for magazines. She has not been able to read magazines for over 2 years now so not sure how this charge occurred and being that she hasn't been in sound mind in 5 years this charge should have never occurred. I have reached out to Capital Magazine many times to get them to stop the charges and I have not received any correspondance back. I am not exactly when this started but it's been atleast a year worth of charges.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.

Privacy Patrol is devoted to delivering first-rate Identity Theft Protection. We hold ourselves to high standards of transparent practices and customer satisfaction. To provide some background, ******************************************* became a member after receiving a direct mail advertisement from us. In January 2022, she responded by initiating contact with Privacy Patrol to inquire about our identity theft protection services.

Throughout her enrollment, we ensured clear communication regarding the benefits and terms of the 30-day trial membership for both Privacy Patrol and Capital Rewards Membership, our monthly discount shopping club. After the trial period, members have the option to continue with both services at the costs of $29.85 and $19.95 per month, respectively. All of this was thoroughly explained to ****************************. Additionally, we discussed the convenience of automatic deductions from her checking account or credit card, for which she provided a Mastercard ending in ****. **************************** also shared her contact details (Home# ************) to stay informed about her membership. Following our discussion, we sent detailed order materials explaining the programs she was enrolled in via USPS.

Addressing the concerns raised, we have proactively canceled ******************************** association with Privacy Patrol. We value every piece of feedback and remain steadfast in our commitment to genuine and transparent services, as evidenced by our A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.

We trust this resolves any concerns raised by ****************************.

    Warm regards,

My 90-year-old mother, *************************** (who lives in ********** **), has dementia and has been charged $19.95 a month since October 1 2022, by Capital Magazine Club, via eCheck debits from her checking account. Calling the number on the eCheck resulted in a voicemail and they never returned my call. I was also not able to go to their website (the server is always down). We dont necessarily want a refund, we just want the debits to stop. The debits seem to have started soon after we cancelled Privacy Patrol unauthorized debits. We dont know if these issues are related.
