Paid 10/10/2024 $490.00 directly to company after they stated that my bill was going to go to collections due to insurance not reimbursing them. In order to not go to collections, I paid the amount. I have now been in contact with Axia billing 10+ times about my reimbursement. Every time I call them and contact someone, they say they will escalate the process. But it has now been since 7/2024 when the service was completed and my insurance states they still have not received the claim from them. I have even had my insurance reach out to them without response.Initial Complaint

Around July 2023, I received a bill for $2,250 from Axia. This was regarding a routine prenatal appointment which should have been fully covered by my insurance. All other prenatal appointment from that pregnancy and my subsequent one were fully covered with the same provider and insurance. When I called at the time, the rep from Axia told me the claim was submitted under my maiden name (*****) and not my married name (********). She was going to resubmit to insurance.
After that, I didn't hear back and received no further bills or communication.
In July 2024, my credit score dropped almost 100 points. I called the Debt collection agency and they pointed my to this Axia bill. I then called Axia and emailed them with the information (attached) as advised from them.
I have followed up via phone and email several times, with no answer.
I would like this taken from my credit report.Initial Complaint

I had an abortion due to a non viable pregnancy and the pill did not work. I had product left inside of me and they scanned me but did not find anything. I called the on call phsyician who said I was wasting my time because I was concerned when the HCG levels remains positive for weeks. I went to my fertility clinic who did the same scan and mentioned i had product left inside of me and they had to schedule me for a D&C. I do not believe I should pay for the scan the OBGYN did because clearly they were wrong, which is why I needed a follow up surgery. The manager, Fran, was also unhelpful is resolving my manner.Initial Complaint

On August 22, 2024 I visited Axia Women's Health in **************, ** for an annual, preventative care appointment. Such services are covered 100% by my insurance company. I was ultimately billed a total of $6.03 for an "office visit". I learned after researching with ****'s billing department and my insurance company that the reason I was billed this amount was because **** filed a separate claim for an additional office visit charging my insurance company $131, which my share was $6.03. The reason they billed an additional office visit was because they said there was an additional office visit for which I was treated for an "other specified non-inflammatory disorder". What actually happened was during my 20-minute preventative care visit, my doctor asked me a question, I answered it, she wrote a prescription and that constituted a separate office visit with a charge and was not considered part of the preventative care. I was not told in advance that if I answered the question, my insurance company and I would charged for it and it would be treated as an entirely separate visit. This is unethical and defeats the purpose of a preventative care visit that I was led to believe would be covered at 100%. If patients can't have a conversation with their doctor without fear they will have to pay extra for it, preventive care becomes irrelevant. I am now apprehensive to answer doctor's questions or raise concerns for fear of what a conversation will cost me, which I fear will be a detriment to my health.Initial Complaint

In regards to ******************************** Health, I paid them $3,300 for my OB deposit. Which is prepaying for the vaginal delivery. However, I did a transfer of care to a different hospital system in the middle of my pregnancy and was told I will be given a refund of the deposit minus any insurance claims that still needed paid. Per my insurance company, all my claims had been processed and paid. It has been months and I have left over 10 voicemails to the office manager for the ********** location (****** *****) and have continued to be ignored and pushed around from department to department.Initial Complaint

Axia Women's health is billing for Labs that were completed on 3/13/24. The bill is for $150.00, $120 of which is unnecessary. Consent was not provided for the additional test. I have Called the customer service department twice (7/14 and 8/6) Both attempts, the customer service agents expressed they would have representative call back within 72 hours. To date, I have not received a follow up call. The customer service department seems to want me to reach out to my insurance company to cover the charges but I have made it clear that my insurance does not cover the charge and I am the one being billed.
I appreciate any help with this matter.Initial Complaint

On January 30, 2024, I received a bill from Axia Women's Health for $160.38. I made a payment immediately; however, I later realized that I should not have. I was being charged because my insurance was considering that Axia was out of network when it was not. I called my insurance company and they told me to call Axia to request for them to resubmit the claim. I called the doctor's office in February and was directed to another number that allegedly handles these types of issues. I was told by one of the customer service rep (Redana)?) that she would resubmit my claim and it will take 30 to 45 days. I called them again to follow up every single month since then and I also called my insurance company and it is now August and nothing has been done. They have not resubmitted the claim like they said they would back in February. I even tried calling the doctor's office to try to get their help, but still nothing. I am still out of $160.38. I don't know what else can be done since they are clearly trying to not pay me back.
Also, the actual health provider that I go to is Axia Women's Health; however, the billing is fo* ******** Women's Health Group and the name of the company that I was told to call in order for them to resubmit my claim is ********* ******. Not sure how they're connected to each other.Initial Complaint

I visited Axia women’s Health in Ocean New Jersey on February 6 for a new patient annual exam and on February 15 for a mammogram. At both visits I gave my ***** insurance card. Since these visits I have received three invoices for almost the total amount of $875. After the first invoice I was able to reach someone in billing, and emailed a photo of my insurance card. This last invoice I received a few days ago has an insurance adjustment of $78 that ***** said was billed as lab work. There is no claim on file for the two exams on 2/6, nor a claim for mammo and breast screening on 2/15. I have just spent over an HOUR on hold trying to get resolution with billing department (***)***-**** after leaving messages and using automated prompts asking for call back, to no avail. The last invoice dated 4/12 states that this claim will be sent to collections in 15 days.Initial Complaint

The business refused to wait for the insurance payment and demanded cash immediately.
