      On 3/1/25 i went to jiffy lube and got an oil change and another service done that they said I needed done. After the service, I drove away and about 2 miles away from the place, on the highway, I heard a "thump" and then a loud dragging/scraping noise. I immediately pulled over thinking it was a tire and was going to get it towed but ended up calling jiffy lube and they ended up coming to me on the highway after 2 hours of sitting on the side of the highway, and told me it was my skid plate. They tied it up and had me follow them back to jiffy lube, where they fixed the mistake. I asked for a refund and the employee *** that had helped me told me he had to talk to his district manager, *******, to approve that. I was later told by *** that he would replace the damaged skid plate for me for free and that he just had to get the part in from ***** and it would be cleared up by ***. Many weeks and attempts to contact *** went by, and now *** will not answer my calls. *******, the district manager, would not give me a refund, and sent me a coupon for a free service. He told me to contact him if I had any problems. After no response to multiple contact attemepts for ***, I started trying to get a hold of *******, who also will not respond. I called ***** to see how much it would be to replace the skid plate and it is $246.22, without labor, which EXCEEDS the amount I paid for the services I got done that day ($234.54). I have tried to file a report with my credit card but it is difficult as I did not save my receipt or paperwork. Someone at ***** told me to report the problem to the BBB.

      Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this matter.

      I am aware of Ms. ************ concerns and have already taken steps to address them. To date, we have issued two service certificates to her, each valued at $99.99, as a gesture of goodwill. Regarding the reported issue with the skid plate, I am more than willing to have it repaired or replaced as necessary. To ensure we order the correct part, one of our certified technicians will need to inspect the vehicle and take a photo for verification.

      As the operator of all Jiffy Lube locations in the North Jersey area, Ms. *********** is welcome to visit any of our stores for assistance. I would just ask for prior notice of the date, time, and preferred location. Additionally, I have asked my District Manager to reach out to her directly. A voicemail was left earlier today, and we look forward to connecting with her soon to resolve this matter promptly and to her satisfaction.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      This issue has been ongoing for over two months, and I did not receive any response until I escalated the matter to a higher authority. I have invested far more time and energy into this than should ever be necessary and am unwilling to invest any more. As a result of this experience, I will not be using the gift certificates providedthose have been discarded, as I have no interest in doing business with a company I do not trust.

      I will be taking my business elsewhere to a more competent and reliable provider. During my only visit to Jiffy Lube, my car left with more damage than it had when it arrived, which is completely unacceptable. I am requesting a full refund so that I can seek services from a merchant who operates with integrity and professionalism.


      If this matter cannot be resolved through the BBB, please be advised that I have also contacted my credit card company to initiate a dispute.
