      Went into Jiffy lube, for a standard oil change, and the man who is doing the oil change, went to pop my hood and excessively pulled on my hood latch handle and snapped my hood latch Cable after doing so said well now I cant do the oil change, so Im gonna back the car out offering no help not even as much as a sorry, always went to this place never saw this mechanic and first time I do my car is broken with an over $400 repair needed. Its been four days and still no word from a higher up manager I am told I am not allowed to have his number to call that he hast to call me very disappointed and honestly disgusted with the lack of service and even respect for me while this is our only family car that travels back and forth to nyc for work and is the only car to take my 3 month old baby to doctors ect. Please do not give them your money or business

      Thank you for the opportunity to respond.All of my locations are under video surveillance, and I personally reviewed the footage. A blue *** with New Jersey license plate ******* arrived for service on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at approximately 3:04 PM on Bay **** technician attempted to open the hood by pulling the release. This particular vehicle has two latch pointsone on the drivers side of the hood and another on the passenger side. While the drivers side latch released, the passenger side would not. Despite multiple careful attempts, the hood could not be fully opened due to a malfunction with the passenger-side ******** a result, no services were performed on the vehicle. At no point did my technician act in a careless or improper manner. The video clearly shows both a male and female customer being brought out to the vehicle, where the issue was explained. I also observed the male customer, wearing a ***** #8 **********************, attempt to release the hood latch himselfwithout success.This appears to be a pre-existing mechanical issue, discovered during the normal course of our service process, which is performed on over 35 vehicles a day. Based on the evidence, Jiffy Lube does not accept liability for this claim.

      I went to Jiffy Lube for an oil change, a couple weeks later, my car broke down because there was no oil in the engine. Turns out that Jiffy Lube never even changed the oil, they ruined my car...
