A Trinity Solar Regional Manager spoke with Mr. ****** on June 5, 2025, to outline a clear path forward for his solar project. His original financing company has declared bankruptcy, and we are actively working to secure a new financing partner for this smaller add-on system.

We truly appreciate his continued patience throughout this process. Our team is happy to advocate on his behalf and remains fully committed to working with him until his system is energized and operating as expected.

The initial job to install and activate the solar panels started in April 2023. And today (May 2025) still no use of these panels. After delays the job actually started in June 2023. As for job, I was constantly assured in the application and approval stages that I would be informed of each step/phase as it was happening. This was not the case, I would constantly have to call offices and track down people only to get half of the information or none at all. It has never smooth job, there were multiple start and stops. I understand construction/electric crews perform different tasks, but I refer to those same tasks within the crews. One of the last issues was they had prepared to have the electric line overhead, which was not approved by me. After ***** months of back and forth they finally change to have the line underground, this was in Oct-Nov 2024. Ever since then I get a bi-weekly phone call from ******* ******, or **** ******* they call themselves regional managers, only to give me the same story that there is paperwork to be signed because it expired and to wait for it to arrive. All those 'paperwork' calls started in November 2024, still no paperwork, still not work done.

      Business Response

Trinity Solar has been actively working with Mr. **** throughout his solar project. While we regret the delays and the frustration he has experienced, we remain committed to delivering his system and acknowledge that the process has not progressed as smoothly as either party had anticipated.

Throughout his solar journey, Trinity Solar has made consistent efforts to accommodate Mr. ***** evolving requirementsmany of which have significantly impacted his solar timeline. For example, connecting electric service with overhead lines is a common industry practice, as it helps reduce both cost and complexity. In this case, we initially planned for an overhead connection following that standard approach. However, at Mr. ***** request, we adjusted our plan to accommodate an underground connection instead. This change introduced additional costs to Trinity Solar and required specific permits and approvals from Mr. ***** township, which further delayed his project.

In addition, some key documentation has expired due to these extended delays. Mr. **** has opted to provide handwritten (wet) signatures instead of signing electronically, which is our standard and most efficient practice. We are working to accommodate this preference to keep the project moving forward.

Despite these challenges, our team has maintained communication with Mr. **** and continues to provide updates and work toward securing the necessary documentation. Trinity Solar remains fully committed to completing the project and supporting Mr. **** through the remainder of his solar journey.

      Complaint: 23370161

I am rejecting this response because:
Not solar journey, more like a homeowners nightmare.

#1 Delay did not start with the overhead line decision issue. Installation started in early June 2023. Following the time line this was not a know issue until after October.2023.
So that was 5 months alone to work on the installation.  It took over 4 months of me calling and leaving messages and being ignored, before someone actually point out that documents and the location of the line/meter was an issue.

#2 You state 'overhead lines is a common industry practice', and so is underground lines. And happens that NO ONE informed me, nor acquired my permission of which was to be utilized. It wasn't until the future meter was installed on the side of the house I realized the plan.   After 20+ calls/messages, the "power consultant" NEVER responded, And although it is stated time and time again by your consultants during the sales process that you 'will be by our side, step by step'. And obviously this is not the case.. He had left the company and the company NEVER notified of who would take over our account.

#3 *********** adjusted the project as per my request, AFTER I would not budge and allow for the company to cheap out with excuses. Initial responses were that it could not be done underground. Later stating it would delay the project. Even offered money for me, always stating it wasn't about money.

#4 They continued to maintain communication is also a lie. At one point there were no communications for over 6 months (Nov 2023 - May 2024) where my number was included accidently in a group text message for possible new clients. In which I responded with details of my account and the status at the time and asking the salesman of he could contact me directly with any details of future steps. And only led for the salesman again ignore/block me and Mr. ***** contacted me stating there were expired documents which were required to be re-signed. And that took a few weeks to get done waiting on them to prepare the documents. It is then after lies (just like the reply to the BBB) and delays of dates I am no longer willing to digitally sign any document since my trust in Trinity Solar to do the right and legal thing is 0.

So they say they continue to communicate, yet alone the last call after being promised a call 8 days after with follow **** it was me to them 14 days later and now their reason is the financial documents. So each time, there are delays its for some reason I never get informed yet they I am the one creating delays or they are dancing to my tune. Lies and lies

So to summarize, since me opening the case there has been 0 actions in the project.,  0 communications by them, just  2 years 1 month and counting of the initiated project started and still nothing.

      Regards,

      ***** ******-****

A Trinity Solar manager spoke with Mr. **** on June 25, 2025, to discuss next steps and make every effort to reach a resolution regarding his concerns.

Throughout this process, Trinity Solar has worked diligently to accommodate Mr. **** and address each of his requests in good faith.
Regrettably, the most recent request falls outside the scope of what can be completed, as it involves factors beyond our control.

While we understand his frustration and acknowledge that his experience has not met expectations, we remain committed to supporting him moving forward and doing everything within our means to improve his overall solar experience.

We signed an agreement with Trinity solar in January of 2025 to install solar panels on our house. Trinity installed the panels March 24, 2025. Following installation, we were told itd take 6-8 weeks to turn the panels on due to application approvals and inspection from ***. Monday, May 19 is 8 weeks since install and PPL has yet to be notified of the addition of solar nor have they come out for any inspection. Trinity claims there is a hold up on **** end with finance approval of the application due to a clerical error on their end. Im getting no answers and no guidance through Trinity. Our panels arent on and arent collecting any energy. I feel as though were being strung along.

I signed with Trinity Solar in 2024 for solar panels. I completed all the paperwork required and Trinity was supposed to do all the studies and obtain all the permits that were required to install the panels. Panels were placed on my house mid-January. All the inspections were done and the estimated time to start the system was mid February. I am still waiting. I have gotten so many excuses for delays. The latest being that there is a reorganization within Trinity that has delayed getting this accomplished. They will not give me the name of the coordinator or the person at *** that is handling all this. They keep telling me that they know I am frustrated but it is going to take more time. I am not frustrated, I am angry. I want this system up and collecting kilowatt hours that I will need later this year during colder months. Three months after the date this system was to be operating, is not acceptable. I either want this system working immediately, or I want these panels off my roof. I do not have faith that this company will be one that stands behind their salesperson promises when they signed us up.

Trinity Solar spoke with Ms. ******* on May 16, 2025, to discuss the next steps in her solar journey.

During the installation process, an unforeseen but necessary change to the inverter size required us to reapply for approval from her utility company, PPL. Trinity Solar covered the full cost and coordination of a transformer upgrade through PPL to meet updated requirements.

Were happy to report that PPL completed this transformer upgrade, and we submitted the final application to energize Ms. ******** solar system.

We understand how important timely project completion is, and we truly appreciate Ms. ******** patience throughout this process. Our team remains fully committed to seeing this project through and will continue to monitor it closely until it is fully operational.

Trinity solar is the branch of ******** that approached me and installed solar panels into my home. They offered me a promotional deal where they would give me a $500 gift card. I have called the direct salesman numerous times and now he fails to return my calls or texts. I got solar panels early last year and had to follow back up in November where again I was promised a check was being mailed and would arrive in 2 weeks. I never received that check and now I called again 2 weeks ago where the service representative at ******* confirmed she has notes that indicate they stated the check was mailed in November and was supposed to arrive. I advised them that I didnt receive the check and she directed me to call trinity solar which I have and get the run around and no one in management calls me back which is what I request when I call. I just want the $500 that was promised to me over a year ago that they also are aware of. Im requesting now $2000 for accrued interest and time lost pursuing the $500 that again was promised to me.

7 months ago I gave them a referral to install solar. I was supposed to get $1,000. For the referral upon completion. The job was completed in January. The referral person was paid his money and They have not paid me. I've called half a dozen times, left messages, and I have not received a call back at all. They lost my w-9 twice, then finally showed up in their system April 3rd. When I got through to someone, but not in the department I needed to talk to, they said it would be another 12 weeks. That is not acceptable. They didn't wait 7 months to contact the referral.

I started the process of installing solar with Trinity in July. A large part of my decision was based on them stating they would remove trees as part of their installation. I was led on by salesman ********* **** for months that the tree work would be done. They were going to take down THREE trees. While waiting for them to follow through on this aspect of the project, one of the trees fell and destoyed my deck. I continued to ask for updates on the removal of the other TWO trees, and was strung along. I finally e-mailed the company and they stated **** no longer worked there. They forwarded my issue to a sales manager who stated that they: CALLED **** and he was going to pay for the tree removal out of his own pocket (which is insane to me), and that I was to contact **** directly to arrange this. I called and sent several messages to that number, and clearly was immediately blocked. I want these people to honor their agreement. Their commitment to removing trees was a deciding factor in my decision to use them, and failure to follow-through is fraud in my opinion. Thank you.
