1 starThis has been a horrible experience. They have lied about their pricing, quoting $3,900 then got the final call before pick up now saying $7,700!! Huge difference!! When trying to cancel the move Im now getting no response. They are refusing to give my $1445 deposit back saying Im to close to the move to get my deposit back. Of course, this is how they plan to scam you. They claim to be Veteran owned and THIS is how they treat military families..disgusting and maddening! Just give the deposit back and you can lie to someone else!Review fromPatrick H

5 starsMagellan was so helpful getting my mother moved into her senior living community!! From the very first phone call I had with ******, he took the time to listen to my mothers situation fully and I could tell he genuinely cared! He went above and beyond expectations and fully explained to us exactly how the whole process of the move would go and made sure we had extra cubic feet space incase we went a little over on the day of the move so we wouldn't get charged more. The moving crew was so professional! They helped my mother and I and even shared some laughs with mom! They were absolutely fantastic! The move was delivered on time and all of my mothers belongings arrived safe and un harmed. I cannot thank ****** and Magellan enough! They truly made this move a stress free experience and I am so grateful!Review fromJennifer S

1 starNothing but lies from the very beginning. It started with lies and false information given to us by the reservation specialist and continued through the entire ordeal. When the contracted mover came to pick things up we got a call saying our inventory didn't match and we would be charged more and I waited for the new estimate which never came. Then I could not get a hold of anyone. The mover loaded( I helped, as it was only one person. We left half of our belongings much of which was included on the invoice I signed, to try to make sure we didn't owe more. The next day we get a phone call saying we owe almost $3000 more than the original price. So now they have everything I have except 2 changes of clothes and are holding my belongings hostage. We cannot pay that much above the agreed and signed invoice so I guess we are starting over when we arrive at our apartment in a new state.Review fromScott C

1 starI will never trust this company ever again. How can a moving company be in business that doesnt return phone calls, doesnt ever their phone, doesnt even seem to exist. Every call goes to an answering service. Avoid them at all costs. Delayed pickup by 3 days, no communication, my car was delivered 5 days later and there were no weather issues. These people dont know what commitment is and beware of their pricing. You will get screwed. I could go on and on about their terrible consumer service if thats what you call it. . If it were possible I wouldnt give them even one starReview fromBrittany S

1 starI am heart broken that people are out here scamming people like this. I set up an appointment to move from **** to Virginia august 22, 2023. My move was scheduled for march 4th ****. I reached out to this company to get some details and schedule our big move across the country. The sales person was very nice and we thought we made a nice connect with the guy. He let us know they were having a sale and they could move all of our belongings for $2200. They needed a down payment of $1,030.68 up front and the rest would be covered on moving day. October rolls around and we are no longer moving so I called to cancel and get a refund for what they told me would be easy to get back many times if something came up. Their costumer service person seems to be lost on how to go about that so she gave me an email to reach out to with her personal phone number. No response to emails, texts, calls, or a refund has been exchanged. It is now November and after trying to get ahold of this company for many weeks now. Nothing has been done. They also could only take my pay with my routing and account number and made my payment into a check form. I have signed no documents. Since its check form I had to file a police report to try and get my money back and yet still nothing. Im hoping they will make it right because its devastating to lose so much money to unprofessional scam artist people. Please make this right. I really need that money back.Review fromLisa T

1 starMagellan Vanlines AKA Ventura Vanlines is terrible . I hir** them to move from ******* to ******* ** in August of 2023. In June of 2023 I was quot** a price of $2685.00 for the company to come wrap my items put them in a truck and drive to ******* **. I gave a ******* dollar deposit. I never heard from this company so I thought I would follow up the beginning of August 2023. I receiv** a message the ****** subscriber you reach can't take your call leave a message. This alarm** me and I left several messages before contacting my cr**it card company to see if they had a contact number that I could use to reach them.Cr**it card company gave me a number and I was able to reach a person that ask** me to go over the list of items I had again. She then told me it was going to cost me more . My move was approaching so I paid and sign** the contract but what she didn't tell me that the move would cost up to ******* or more and that is when I call my cr**it card company to stop the payment because I couldn't afford to give them *******. to make a long story short they said I didn't cancel with them five days before and I did over voicemail several times. when I did get someone I ask** for my money back because I had to find another way to move. in short I have not receive $3495.00 deposit back. These people didn't show they didn't wrap anything and they didn't move my stuff. I can't get a cr**it with my cr**it card company and I thought that I could work with the actual company to get some of my money they are stalling and far as I am concern ** this is thief they did nothing. This company should not be able to do business anywhere they don't have a brick business' they are renting u-hauls like we can do ourselves. Do not do business with this company and there should be another avenue that we can get consumers money back that they are pocketing for themselves . THIS IS A RIP OFF Company DONOT DO Business with them. BS companyReview fromMichael T

1 starMagellan is AWFUL!!! They're reprobates who would steal the candy from a laughing baby's mouth. They quoted me a fair price after I worked up an extensive, detailed and itemized worksheet and emailed it to them. It was for $11,000. The driver at pickup demanded we give substantive tips to his crew after we had boxed everything and made their job so much easier. In ******** July 22nd is when they picked up and projected a (No Later Date) delivery date to Oregon of August 11th. We called and called even before September came around to inform them they would be in penalty of contract and finally they picked up, but they couldn't tell us where our goods were. The driver called me and gave me a 48-hour notice on September 23rd and then didn't arrive until 8 days later. Nearly 25% of our belongings are damaged and look like they sat out in desert for two months. Bottom line. All said and done it cost my wife and I $24,000. More than double the "Binding Move Estimate". This broker and freight company (Luxury Logistics) have extorted me, for once you send them that first cash commitment and they get your furniture they know they've got you and will tell you anything. My wife is inconsolable over this with heirlooms damaged and such not to mention the sense of personally being violated. I would enjoy seeing them live without their possessions for months. We were told that our load would be on one truck which would entitle us to a $2,000 refund by the driver at pickup and we could pay with a check. Of course this never happened because they brokered it out to a different mover and the driver in Oregon who delivered would only accept cash. One of the worst and most expensive mistakes in our lives. Magellan Movers and Luxury Logistics are fraudulent thieves, if you use them get ready to pay, pay, and pay and WAIT!!!!. And of course, repair your goods once delivered. They unloaded our shipment into our new home in three hours and we could not walk through the house.Review fromJennifer F
