    My trash service was stopped without warning or notification. I never received picked up trash service for 2 weeks. When I called to complain they said it was due to non payment. I said I never received a notice of termination of service for non payment. Plus I paid the entire amount for 3 months of service that day with the late fee. Were they going to credit me the 2 weeks that I did not receive service? They said no it doesn't work that way. No credit for the weeks I did not receive their service and no reason for not notifying me of canceled service. Unethical business practices. I'm not paying for the weeks service was not provided and I won't be treated so unfair.

    We have rural service from Elko Sanitation. We pay $180 quarterly for our trash to be picked up bi-weekly at our residence- every other Monday. They decided to deliver larger dumpsters and pick up bi- weekly instead of weekly since we are 60+ miles from Elko. November 21, 2022 was our last pickup here at our residence. After multiple phone calls to Elko Sanitation I finally got an answer as to why we hadn’t had pickup in months. I was told by a manager that they delivered a large dumpster to the highway and that we were supposed to take our trash there since their trucks couldn’t get to our houses in winter. 1. That is not what we paid for. I paid for residence pickup for $180/quarterly. 2. Not one homeowner I have asked had been notified by Elko Sanitation they had changed their pickup service. 3. Our roads are cleared daily and cars and trucks are delivering here without problems. 4. When they decided to change the agreement- weren’t they obligated to tell us? They did not notify us. 5. Our bill has to be adjusted someway. What about the other homeowners who don’t live here full time- they are just paying and think service is still as expected. 6. I feel the way they went about this as a business was shady. When they decided to change service- they should have been obligated to inform their customers.

    We had service with Elko sanitation sense we moved to elko in 2004, with no complaints. In 2019 we moved to a new address and the service was not only more expensive but terrible. July 2022 we canceled our service after months of not being able to get help or getting anyone to return calls and messages. We were due a refund and told we would get a check in the mail. After several more calls and a few visits to the office we still do not have our refund. We were told this week that there isn’t anything they can do anymore.
