Stay away! My A/C went out on July 1 when the weather was 117 degrees. I called First American Home Warranty (FAHW). They contacted Airbender and had someone out that afternoon which was great. I was with the technician the entire time he was there diagnosing the failed compressor. This system at the time was 24 years old!!! An ancient relic in the Las Vegas desert. Keep in mind I bought this home 8 years prior when into was 16 years old. But, it has worked perfectly with no issues until this time. While the tech was there he pointed out some of the fins on the condenser coils were pushed in. We discussed it, I shared with him the age and that it’s been working perfectly and the minor fin damage was there the day I moved in. He said he would write his report and send to FAHW. This was Friday. After a brutally hot weekend I called FAHW and was told I was denied. No reason. No explanation. I was able to call the assistant at AirBender and she was able to send me the report from the Tech that was sent to FAHW. Come to find out, this report was 2 very brief sentences. First stated that compressor has failed. Then, in ALL CAPS, this guy wrote, “… condenser has damage. POSSIBLE DENIAL.” Wtf? Who is this guy to put that in his report to the home warranty company??? Are you kidding me??? Looking back, I truly feel that this company and this tech were not interested in earning a minimal amount of money by replacing only a compressor, especially knowing home warranty companies are known to be minimalist when it comes to repairs and payments to service companies. I feel they figured if they can get an entire system replaced they would be able to make more money. Even if I’m wrong, which I don’t think I am, what kind of company writes this in their report? Are you there as a service company to help the consumer out, or are you scamming people working with unscrupulous home warranty companies? Garbage service. Garbage company. Do NOT use them

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the recent service, or rather lack thereof, provided by your contracted technician. The ongoing issue with our unit has not been resolved since July 22, and this delay is completely unacceptable.
The unit is accessible, contrary to the contractor’s claim. The cage around the unit is there to prevent theft and provide an illusion of being locked, but it does not hinder access in any way. The real issue lies within the unit, specifically with the overfreezing of the coil and fan.
The contractor you sent refused to work on the unit, falsely claiming that it was inaccessible. Additionally, he suggested that I needed to hire him outside of my warranty, which is both unethical and unprofessional. It is evident that he was attempting to exploit me, perhaps assuming I would not challenge his false claims due to my gender.
This kind of behavior is unacceptable, and I expect better from a company I have been loyal to. We have been without air conditioning for two weeks, and this has caused significant discomfort and inconvenience.

Beware! No Integrity. Customers Care and repeat business is last on this company's list since their only concern is getting paid from the home warranty company. My property manager through home warranty sent Airbender to check my A/C. The request submitted was to check my A/C meaning my A/C upstairs and downstairs units are not working properly. Both units were working just not efficiently and run too often. Tech came out after testing said BOTH units are old (okay fine) he did spend much time at the unit outside and in the attic. Tech stated "BOTH units a working but old nothing can be done". He left and I notice my downstairs A/C does not work anymore. No fan, No response....nothing!
I called Airbender a few days later after wait for direction from property management. Basically a guy dodged any responsibility and they only checked ONE unit which was far from the truth. I told him the tech came out checked and gave me a verbal evaluation of BOTH units and now only one unit turns on.. This guy then had the nerve to ask me "Which unit is still working?" I replied "upstairs", he then said "Well then that's the only one we checked". Really? The tech told me loud and clear he check both units.
So this company is just out to make a quick buck and not take responsibility for their workmanship.
What happened to honesty and integrity? So sad how how a company can conduct business with total disregard for how the treat people. I told him was going to report this to BBB and he said "Go Ahead" like he could careless about his business's reputation.
This conduct or not taking responsibility for there actions is how crooks operate.

On 7/8/2024, Raul from Airbender came to service my HVAC unit, which needed Freon. My warranty company dispatched Airbender, and my policy states that the warranty company pays $40 per pound, with me covering any additional costs. However, Raul claimed that Freon was not covered and that I had to pay for the service. He charged $30 per pound, and I paid $150.

On 7/9/2024, I called First American Home Warranty for clarification. Hyro from First American told me the service should have been covered. I then contacted Airbender and spoke with Jennifer, who said she couldn’t access my policy details. This was strange because Raul had shown me a disclaimer on his phone stating I had to pay $30 per pound for Freon. Raul also didn't leave a receipt, claiming it was sent to my warranty company. When I asked Jennifer for a receipt, she said it was difficult to send one and that invoices were uploaded to First American’s portal.

I called First American again and spoke with a supervisor named Sara. She tried to contact Airbender but got no response. Sara confirmed I shouldn't have been charged. I called Airbender while on the phone with Sara and got Jennifer on the line, but she hung up when I mentioned I had First American on the line. Since then, Airbender has not answered my calls.

I plan to escalate this issue to Nevada's Attorney General. Beware of Airbender; they take advantage of consumers and misrepresent warranty details to charge extra.

We went through our home warranty who offer a yearly tune up, We paid 85.00. They came out and said we have a leak, we will be back to service it when it's fixed. I got it fixed and now they refuse to come out and tune it. When we called them they said it was done and have pictures, but won't produce them. They said to do it myself, its easy. My husband and I have paid for a service that they're fuse to comply with and lievthat it was done. Horrible lyers!

You paid for a tuneup not a cleaning maintenance, our technician couldn't water down your coil due to it having a refrigerant leak which wouldve contaminate your unit and caused further damage. Not only did we perform a thorough tuneup, but we informed you that your unit had a leak which prompted you to get it fixed and in order before summer hit.

You didn't tune it up either. whatever you may call it, you didn't do it. Stop explaining the fact that you didn't do what you were paid for away. Yes, your guy said fix the leak and I will be back abd finish the tune up. He never did it and he never came back. Plain
    and simple. You scammed us.
