Beware of this predatory lender and their practices. I opened up an account with credit one bank in 2019 (when I was trying to rebuild by credit) and received a $2,000 credit limit. The card came with a $75 annual fee which I accepted and paid in full the first month. After the first year the annual fee was raised to $99. They won't allow me to pay the annual fee in full for some reason, and insist it MUST be a recurring monthly fee. My credit score is now over 700 and I have multiple top tier credit cards through reputable banks. I never use this card for any purchases due to the predatory PER DAY interest charge instead of the usual no-interest-if monthly-balance-is-paid-in-full (this can really add up so beware!). I pay all my cards in full each month. The only reason I haven't canceled this card yet is because doing so would immediately lower my credit score. I've contacted Credit One many times to try & reason with them, explaining that I find it extremely suspicious that they INSIST the annual fee be paid in 12 monthly payments and asked if there was anything they can do to either; allow me to pay the annual fee in full so it's not as inconvenient, waive next year's annual fee so I can actually use the card without losing money since they charge interest by the day, or switch me to a different tier since my credit has vastly improved since 2019. I was repeatedly told there's nothing they can do and that the annual fee is mandatory, which has absolutely nothing to do with why they won't allow me to pay it in full, something they don't seem to have an answer for. So while this card did slightly help to rebuild my credit, I had to pay over $200 in fees 4 it. I have no choice but to close it & accept the credit drop to be free from this predatory cycle. I recommend trying Capital One Platinum to rebuild as they accept applicants w poor credit w/no annual fees or predatory billing. You'll prob get a lower credit limit but save tons in interest and fees. JMO. GL all

Called to dispute some charges. They can never hear me right even thought other calls go through flawlessly. Yesterday i called to dispute some charges, the call got dropped. Today i call and the lady clearly pretends she cannot hear me even thought she is saying hello everytime i try to say something. I explain to her that im calling about a dispute on my card, starts rambling nonsense, tells me i have to call the place that im disputing the charges from even though i already told her i did. She then ignores everything and just cuts the conversation and says "is there anything i can help you with?" im baffled at this point, how can customer service be this bad? i then explain to her that i am calling because of a dispute, and then hangs up. SO UNPROFESSIONAL! What kind of customer service is this?

Repeated phone calls. Over 200 in a month and it has not been 30 days since last payment date.

I applied for a Credit One card and I too read through the whole thing looking to see if there was any finance charges. it did not it show there was an annual finance charge. I sent in the application because Credit One was offering me $1000 line of credit. I received my card, but only $300 credit limit. For more than a year now, I have had to deal with fees for making payments and fees when my account balance is zero and I have not even used the card. I don't take kindly to paying an entity to take my money and I don't agree with charging me for something that I haven't used!!!! I have asked them on three occasions to close this account. Instead, they kept it open to continue to collect money. I called today to close the account again, and discovered another fee and the representative was completely ignoring my request to close the account! I just paid my bill yesterday! A manager claims to have closed it. They need to refund my money that they cheated me out of. This bank is the worst bank since Bank of America and Wells Fargo. Keep your money folks. If consumer protection won't get rid of these folks, we should. Do not apply at Credit One Bank. I had to leave at least one star to leave this review but honestly, I give Credit One Bank a zero star rating.

I have been with credit one for sometime now I have 2 accounts with them never been late on my payments. I over paid on my one card they locked it asked me too send in verification that I put the money on my card I sent in the proper bank statements and wrote a letter so they can unlock my card. I called them multiple times to see if they received everything they needed i was told yes but I had to wait 7-10 business days. My card should be unlocked today August 1st 2022. I called them my card is still locked because now they saying they couldn't review my forms in have to resubmit and wait again another 7-10 days for review this has made me late on my bills and caused me a lot of stress. I feel as if they should not accept an over payment then lock someone card and deny them access to their money. I can't even used my available credit line that I was approved for.

If I could give them a negative score, I would. This is the most deceptive credit card company I have ever encountered with the worst customer service I've ever experienced - and I have experienced a lot. The annual fee is not clearly disclosed, and that being a surprise is my fault, but everything else is done in a super shady way clearly meant to make a lot of money off of people they know will cancel their cards even without using them, like me. Run, do not walk, away from this card. There are so many better options to have something for an emergency or help build credit. This was a huge mistake. They should be ashamed of themselves.
