I ordered a couch from Valyou and asked them to hold the delivery date due to renovations. When it was time to have the couch delivered, it wasn't. We canceled the order and asked for a refund. They spent some time trying to convince me to keep the order, but finally agreed to a refund and said it would take 7-14 business days. No refund. They said my credit card wouldn't accept a refund. Other companies have refunded no problem in the same timeframe. I asked for a paper check, they said no, but suggested a ****** refund and asked me to wait 3-5 business days. They specifically asked me not to file a claim with the bank. I waited 5 business days and no refund. Now they want me to file a claim, however the 60 days has passed and I cannot file a claim. I ordered a sideboard from Valyou that was supposed to arrive on June 8th. The company gave me no confirmation number and there was no communication until early July. The product was supposed to be delivered on July 11th, and at the last minute "pieces were missing" so the produce was not delivered. The sideboard was then supposed to be delivered on July 28th, and the day before I was removed from the shipping order. I paid $200 to have this product delivered in early June, and two months later it has not been delivered and communication with the company is stilted and unfruitful.Initial Complaint

I ordered the ******* couch on May 9th, the order was on backorder and estimated to be delivered within a couple of months. The delivery date kept being pushed back because it was reported by customer service they are having a delay in restocking.
On June 25th I decided to just cancel the order. I could not get anyone on a phone call and was being redirected to text the customer service number. I finally requested them to call me so I could confirm my cancellation. The customer service lady called and I demanded that she send me an email regarding my cancellation and when I was expected to receive my refund. My refund was set to be processed on July 18th. However, It never was processed. I contacted customer service again and they emailed me stating they have tried to process my refund and their system is not working. They recommended filing a claim with my bank. To me that tells me they are scams and have no intention of refunding my money. Today they continue to state their system is broken and it will take another 2 weeks to possibly get my refund. Refund owed $2240.34Initial Complaint

I placed a pre-order for a ******** sectional couch on 06/07/2022. I spoke with someone by chat who said the estimated arrival date of 06/29/2022 was correct. By that date, the couch had not arrived nor had it been shipped. I spoke to someone by chat stating that they were working on orders and I was going to be receiving the couch by mid to end of August most likely. I cancelled the order 06/30/2022. They informed me it would take 7-14 days to receive the refund. It is now 07/27 and I have not received a refund. They sent me a screenshot of a "failed" refund the attempted to process on 07/21/22 and said it would take another 7-14 days to resolve this. I have now disputed the chart with my credit card company. I am positive after reading reviews on this website and others, and my own experience, that these people are committing fraud.Initial Complaint

Hello,
We purchased a couch in April from Valyou furniture and the first week of June we didnt have it yet. We were told we could cancel and receive a full refund. After a month of no refund we were told, they cant put it back on my card and we need a *******, so we did that and now almost a month later we are being told that we need to file with Visa or bank and we were told Visa only goes 60days from purchase. So Valyou furniture has 3000 dollars of ours and is just giving us a run around. I'm a disabled Veteran on a fixed income and at the end of knowing what to do. Please help me.

We ordered a couch from Valyou furniture in December 2021. We were told the delivery date would be February 2022. The couch never came and Valyou didn't give us any information unless we called and asked for it. They kept saying it would be a couple more months. In June 2022, we finally had enough of the waiting and were tired of the lack of communication so we cancelled are order and Valyou said they would process a full refund. That was on July 6th, 2022. We still do not have a refund. Valyou said to contact our bank. In which, I did, our bank said they do not hold/reject refunds and did not see any refund in process. They keep saying they do not know where the money is but refuse to re-process the refund and they keep stringing us along without giving us anymore info. According to many reviews on google, many people are having the same issue.
Can you please investigate this company?

I purchased a sectional on 12/31/2021. The furniture was never shipped or received after numerous delays, so I cancelled the order June 8 2022. They told me refund would take 7-14 business days. On June 29 I still did not receive so they told me I would hear something in a week. On July 5 I still had not gotten my refund so they told me another 7-14 business days. I ordered a sectional from Valyou Furniture around 4/24/22 for $3799.94. After repeated delivery delays, I cancelled my order. I got an email from the company saying the refund had been processed, but no refund was ever issued to my credit card ending 6501. I contacted Valyou furniture and they told me that they'd tried to process the refund twice, but they received an error in processing. They asked my if I'd disputed the charge with my credit card company (***********). I have not yet disputed anything. Since then, they have not responded to my texts or emails. I have cancelled an order after delays on date of delivery twice. I was promised a refund within 7-14 days on 07/04. Unfortunately the refund never came. Asked me to wait an additional 3-7 business days.

On December 16, 2021, I sent a payment of $1, 698 USD, via ******, to Valyou Furniture for a sofa to be delivered by May. When May arrived and the sofa did not yet have a delivery date, I canceled, presumably without penalty. They said my refund out be there within 7-14 days. It wasn't, so I talked to a series of people, who offered excuses: new software, customer service reps ill, busy financial team, disputed bank transaction (false)--until the 180 days for ****** protection had expired. Now they tell me to contact ******, knowing that ****** can't intervene. From the reviews I've read, this is a common delaying tactic. They just want people to give up.Business Response
