I am executor for my aunt, and received only a "final notice", as I see is common in many of these disputes. I emailed the executor document and secondary insurance. They will not respond when I ask the address to which the first two notices were sent. The dates show on their portal, but statements won't open to view, site times out. One rep emailed back to say the expense was billed to the secondary insurance company but, but it does not show in transactions on the statement. Over a month of emails and calls with no answer to two very simple questions.

Billed us for over $1000 for Waseya *******, MD at St. Rose Siena - noted "insurance non-coverage during date of treatment," which wasn't true. We attempted to contact multiple times to customer service, who were rude and flat out lied to my wife over the phone. They also repeated stated to give 4-6 weeks processing for updating our insurance information to prove that we had coverage during the date in question. Insurance has no claim whatsoever from this company, who continues to send us invoices without updating the insurance that they should be billing. We are growing concerned that they will attempt to send our bill to collections, despite our many attempts to coordinate the claim and essentially spoon-feed them what they should be proactive to do themselves. Really terrible company, and one of the reasons why people likely hate the medical system.

    Dorothy ********  Good Day,
After receiving your correspondence dated February 28, 2024, I have thoroughly reviewed the account referenced. Vituity NV Koury Partners PLLC (Vituity) is an independent group of medical providers that staff the St. Rose Dominican Hospital Siena Campus. I represent R1 and we are privileged to act as revenue cycle manager for Vituity.
Ms. ******** sought emergency medical treatment in March 2023 and was rendered medically necessary services by Waseya *******, MD. The charges on the account are appropriate for the medical services rendered. A data entry error occurred when the insurance details were received from the facility, the last digit was missing from the policy number, which caused the claim to be rejected due to incorrect information. After correcting the policy number, the account was not properly reset to billed the corrected claim.
Due to the mishandling of Ms. ********** account, the collection agency has been notified to close this account and remove it from the credit report. Also, the balance has been adjusted off and now has a zero balance.
We very much regret that Ms. ******** has experienced this issue. When this concern was received, I began an investigation. I can reassure Ms. ******** and the BBB of Nevada, that R1’s and our client’s actions have been corrected. I would be happy to discuss R1’s and the client’s position on this matter, and we very much thank Ms. ******** for prompting us to take a closer look at our processes to ensure all appropriate actions have been taken. I can be reached at 405.682.3303 or emailed at *******@R1RCM.com.
    Regards,

After a brief emergency room visit, I received two simultaneous bills. One, for the treatment, was promptly settled by my insurance. However, the second, pertaining to the ambulance service, remained unpaid. Instead of being contacted for a resolution, I was distressed to find, after a lapse of six months, that my account had been sent to collections without any prior communication.
In my effort to rectify the situation, I made multiple calls and provided all necessary insurance details. I was then assured that everything was in order and that my bill was settled. To my dismay, six months thereafter, I received another call demanding payment for the same bill. Once again, I liaised with the insurance company, the hospital, and VITUITY to clarify and hopefully resolve the recurring issue. After much back and forth, I was given the impression that the matter had been resolved.
However, in May 2023, my mortgage company informed me that my name still appeared on a collection agency list for an unsettled bill. In sheer exasperation and to prevent any further hindrances to my financial endeavors, I paid the bill out of pocket, amounting to approximately $1,500. Yet, three months later, I discovered that my name had not been removed from the collections list.
It's disheartening to see such lapses in communication and competence from an organization of your repute. I genuinely hope my feedback prompts a review of your procedures and perhaps better training for your staff to prevent such oversights in the future. Such an incompetent company with incompetent and disrespectful employers. They deserve 0 start.
DON'T TRY TO SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM THROUGH INSURANCE. PAY OUT OF POCKET AND GET A REIMBURSEMENT FROM YOUR INSURANCE.
