I was in the ***************** in **************** on 6/5/24, when I was approached by a sales associate at the store front YVES Chantre Paris to promote their fake skin care lines brands sericin and forever flawless. I was quickly grabbed and pulled in and without hesitation they started placed product underneath my eyes. They sold me on products that was a once in a lifetime deal. I was told it was going to be a total of $300. Once I got to the counter he had it all rang up and continue to try to sell me more products while I signed their virtual signature pad. He then placed my receipt in my bag. When I got back to my room I gathered my stuff since I was leaving that same early afternoon. When I got home I saw that my receipt was a different amount of $325.14. I noticed it was for the tax so I understood that part of it. When it hit my credit card the amount was now $334.89. I called the number on the receipt and it took me to an automative voice that was attempting to sell me on more products. I tried saying "no thank you" and "representative" to get to a live person to speak to but nothing. I tried calling back again and it was the same thing. This is where I knew I was being scammed. I contacted Discover(credit card company) to file a complaint and they stated they had to side with the Merchant because they provide documentation stating I was paying for an "administrative fee" and there were No Refunds. I was very upset for I was never told of this fee nor did I sign for that. This place is a SCAM and full of Frauds. I fell sick to my stomach and said I would even mail it all back. I DO NOT support this type of behavior or company if you can even call them that. There are so many complaints about them on so many sites. It is only a matter of time that they will be caught for running a CON. I would love to be part of a law suit against this company! Shame on them!! Karma.Initial Complaint

1/12/24 I was lured into the Amora store and scammed by a three-fold approach. First I was intentionally given FALSE information about the skin care infrared devise AND the salesmen, *****, represented himself as the owner of the store who could give away the product at a loss to somehow benefit me because it was out of my financial reach. Second, I was inappropriately detained and under the salesman's control by way of a physical facial wherein the male sales person controlled a devise on my face with his hands for over an hour. It was extremely difficult to leave and at one point I started crying and the salesman asked me why and then laughed at me and told me that I deserved this product. And third, I was repeatedly told that if I were unhappy in any way that as the owner of the store I could trust his 90-day money back guarantee for any reason. I also heard another sales person repeat this policy to another potential customer in the store. The name of the business is Amora, ***************************************************************************FALSE CLAIMS: 1. Product was developed by **** and is an infared devise. I researched this for a couple of hours online, this devise is no where to be found even though the Salesman supposedly pulled up a website on his phone and showed me all that this devise could do. 2. That means that the salesman produced a FAKE website to ensnare a sale of a fake product. 3. I purchase product under the verbal 90-day money back guarantee. 4. AFTER my credit card was charged, I filled out a "shipping label" and initialed a box with the salesman talking, saying, "this just affirms that you put down the right address" because I did not want to take the product. 5. When I was finally out of the store, I immediately researched the product, then read the entire shipping label and realized that I had been defrauded. 6. Within 20 minutes of the transaction I called and texted to cancel the transaction. I was told then it was not possible.Initial Complaint

On 7/28 I purchased products from Yves Chantre Paris at **************** ************ in *********. The amount of the purchase was for $325.14. The sales associate had actually applied the products to my face. Not long after returning to my hotel room, I broke out in hives where it had been applied. I returned to the store the next day explaining I had a reaction and they refused to take the products back. The products were unopened as I wasn't going to apply anymore since I had a reaction. The sales associate refused to take the unopened items back or issue a refund. I called their corporate office and they refused to return my calls. I also tried to cancel the charge on my credit card but was unsuccessful because of their "no refund" policy. I absolutely cannot use this product because it is causing some type of an allergic reaction. Since I did have such a strong reaction, I used the Yuka App to see what might be in their ingredients. The products all came up as poor because of hazardous additives such as: BHT, PHENOXYENTHANOL, DMDM HYDANTION, among other lower risk ingredients. They advertise right on their website "featuring the amazing natural ingredients, so you can look good and feel good." These ingredients are far from natural and were hazardous to my skin.Initial Complaint

dba Amora (********************* Ctr). 5/26/23: bought $2,325.18 of facial products after demo on my face, taking part with me and rest to ship to me. Then learned airline charges $99 to take bag, I did not want to pay extra. That was two hours after purchase. In that time, product effects wore off (same wrinkles as before). ***** had said he needed to finish quickly bc he was late to catch a plane to ***** (and took a call during demo where he said "I'm leaving for the airport as soon as I finish this customer"), but he was still in shop when I returned. He refused to refund bc receipt states no refunds. There was no sign, no prior discloure, and language was not conspicuous on receipt. Also said could not refund because machine not set up to process a refund. So even if language was seen, refusing to sign would do no good bc it was already charged and not reversible. Also after charge, receipt showed $25 ship fee, which was not disclosed. He then grabbed my purse and shoved an item in it to force me to take it, I removed it. Left all products at the store. He said let them ship products and I can refuse delivery to get a refund. Gave me business card for Yves Chantre. Left message after leaving shop, they called me back same day (Friday) and said would refund $325.14 but no full refund bc it is on the receipt, the products had already shipped, and refusing shipment would be my problem. Said I want a full refund, and was told one of two owners would call me back. Called today and spoke with ***** (last name refused), cust srvc mgr. He said owners do not live in U.S. I told ***** what happened. He defended the clerk's actions, the lack of no-refund disclosure, and undisclosed shipping fee. He refused any refund, insisted I accept shipment and call him back to talk. I declined. Office person named CeCe gave me tracking number, which shows ***** label was not even created until yesterday (Monday). I am refusing package and want a full refund.Initial Complaint

The purchase was made on September 10th at 2:04pm. I was told extensively by a high pressure salesperson by the name of ***************** that this was a 100% money back guarantee with no questions asked. He stated that he would ship me a bundle of complementary products just for stopping in - he took my address and had me sign a shipping form that states all sales are final, stating that the "all sales are final" was only for the complimentary products, and not to worry, 100% money back guarantee on the product if I purchase. When I made the purchase, I was given a receipt afterward. The receipt said "no refunds". I immediately questioned why the receipt said no refunds if I was just promised a refund could occur at any time for any reason. ***** stated again that is only for the complimentary products and does not apply to the actual purchase. I then left the storefront and returned 30 minutes later after feeling I'd been taken advantage of, and I wanted to exercise my right to return the product. ***** stated that due to Covid 19, they are unable to process returns in store and that I would need to travel home with the product, contact **** Chantre customer service to facilitate a return and then ship the product to them for my return. When I arrived home on September 11th I immediately contacted *************************** customer service ***************), as directed. This is a generic "cosmetic store" line. They have no customer service actually available and their return email address **************************************** is an inactive address. I had witnesses to confirm this activity. No responses to requests for return, no one able to provide explanation for my troubles but happy to take my money and tell lies that they never intend to uphold.
