This client enrolled a total of six accounts in our program. At the time cancellation, one account had a settlement in progress. The client officially requested  cancellation of  enrollment on April 26, 2025, citing concerns regarding program fees.
Our system shows the account was marked as cancelled on May 1, 2025. The client followed up via text on May 1 and by telephone  on May 6, inquiring about the status of the cancellation. We apologize if there was any confusion or delay during this process. The client claims she requested cancellation via email on April 23, 2025; however, we found no record of communication on that date. We do show that a deposit of $825.35 was processed on April 23. All fund ar eheld in special purpose escrow account owned and controlled by the client. While we did not receive a refund request through our internal system, we understand the client emailed the payment processor ********************;regarding a refund. We are happy to coordinate with Global to ensure your concerns are reviewed.

I originally enrolled with ************* in August 2023 in the belief that they were a debt consolidation company. After enrolling, I learned that their practice involved not paying any debts until the creditors were willing to make account settlements, often after reaching litigation. My enrollment in their program also included free legal representation. I was represented by legal counsel with my first account. However, two additional accounts did not receive any legal representation. When I received my third summons for warrant in debt, I contacted ************* 5 times including once by email. Each time, I was informed that their legal team was working on the matter. My requests to have them contact me went unheeded. On 4/21/25, I appeared in General District Court personally to see who my legal counsel would be and no one showed on my behalf. I called their office after court and was told the same thing: That their legal team was working on the matter. I requested an immediate phone call and have yet to hear from them. I sent an email on 4/28/25 to their office directing them to pay the remaining account balances with my escrow account which had sufficient funds which has yet to receive a response. I also stated that they are no longer authorized to draft funds out of my bank account and that I consider our relationship to end due to breach of contract. As of this writing, I have not yet heard from their office. It gives me concern when I searched for their location on ****** maps and cannot find anything. When I entered the arrangement with them, my total balance owed was $10,890.00. They reached a settlement of $3100 with one company. However, litigation has resulted in a remaining amount with the other two accounts of $8,263.82 - an increase of $473.82

    Good morning,

I am not familiar with the Higbee law office. My communication was all with Paramount Law.

I received a random text yesterday from someone claiming to be with Paramount Law's settlement department. The text came from 888-515-2150 at 4:03 pm EST. it stated that they (Paramount Law) had reached a settlement agreement with Klima, Peters and Daly, the law firm representing my Paypal account. The agreement was for $1400 (balance is now over $1700) which is much higher than the original $1300+. As of this date, no one from Paramount Law has responded to my email from 4/28/25. Calls to their office only go to voicemail and when I google their phone numbers, I see warnings of robocalls and spam callers.

I am directing my bank that Paramount Law has no further authorization to take money out of my account as I have stated in my email of 4/28/25. I am very hesitant about Paramount Law actually reaching this settlement.

Law firm employees and agents fully disclose how the service works to every client. All clients sign a client service agreement acknowledging they have read the contract and understand how the debt settlement service works. Client’s must acknowledge they understand the risk of a creditor filing a lawsuit. While we do our absolute best to reach settlement agreements with every creditor, it is not always possible as some more aggressive creditors decide to file a lawsuit to collect a debt before the client has accumulated sufficient funds to reach a settlement agreement. Our attorney did represent this client on her account, both before and during the litigation phase. After the first court date, the attorney requested a continuance from the court in an effort to allow for more time to reach a settlement. A court date was scheduled, however, the opposing counsel objected to continuing the case multiple times, and instead requested the court enter judgment against the client if the account has not settled by the second court date.  We could not reach a settlement and the court granted the request made by the creditor to enter judgment. The account that went to default was settled and we covered the payment for the client.  We reached out to the client to inform her that the matter has been resolved at no cost to her, as we’ve covered the settlement payment on her behalf.

I am rejecting this response because: while they did represent me with the first account (Sam's Club), they did not represent me with the Lowe's account per Lynchburg court records in November 2024 (I was "self-represented"). They also did not represent me against Paypal in April 2025 despite repeated attempts at contact by me as their client since March 2025. I have called them twice since the April court date, sent an email and responded to a text message. I have yet to hear from Paramount Law at all. I have sent them a directive that they were to use the funds that existed in my account to pay Tenaglia and Hunt in full. I have yet to hear if this was completed. I have also already provided BBB a copy of my correspondence to that office.  Simply stated, they failed to provide me with legal representation in both the second and third accounts. Legal representation means exactly that in every aspect of the matter, not just trying to reach settlements.

    Sincerely,

    Beth White

    Settlement offer received from creditor
Client was called to obtain settlement authorization. Voicemail left stating settlement fees would be waived for this settlement.
    Client responded affirmatively via SMS

    May 9, 2025
Client was called to inform her of fees being waived for settlement , voicemail was left
SMS sent requesting a return call.

We waived our settlement fee so there is nothing to refund. We are not a creditor so we cannot make corrections to a credit report. The client has requested no further contact, however if the client contacts our office we can discuss any additional steps that can be taken to resolve this matter to the client's satisfaction.
