Last night, a group of attendees left the Renaissance Fair, themed "Age of Chivalry," only to find that their cars had been towed from a nearby parking lot that has long served festival-goers. The lot, surrounded by boarded-up businesses and a recently renovated plaza still boarded up, became a point of frustration for those who parked there.
After returning to their vehicles around 9 PM, they discovered their cars were missing. Although there were (brand new signs indicating the towing policy, many people reported that they were hard to see—small, posted high on poles, and not easily noticed by drivers. One entrance had an orange cone with a sign taped to it that had been run over, while another sign was taped behind a pole, making it difficult for drivers to spot. At the main entrance by **** ****, the sign was obscured by the larger restaurant sign, rendering it nearly invisible during sunset and night time as the brightness of the **** **** sign obscured the view.
Witnesses mentioned that a police officer admitted the signage was inadequate and suggested that more signs should have been posted to inform drivers. The police have recommended people contact the BBB.
It appeared that younger adults, aged 20-45, dressed in renaissance garb were primarily affected by the towing, while families seemed to be exempt. This is profiling.
The towing fees are between $500 and $525, and many individuals were unaware of the policy change, which had not been communicated on the event's Facebook page or website. Even local police were not informed of the new restrictions.
They are towing with an expired certificate. These are still posted in their office. They also force people to sign a paper that says the individual has inspected the vehicle but will not allow the person to inspect the vehicle before signing which is llegal. Of of this is documented and has been witnessed. They would not release my car so I had to sign though I did not get to inspect my vehicle.

The most horrible business I have ever seen, they are thieves and con artist. Completely disrespectful and prey on the fact people need their cars!!
