Subject: Formal Complaint and Request for Full Refund
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the treatment and experience I received at your facility. I came to The Joint Chiropractic seeking professional care for a serious, ongoing issue that had previously been addressed successfully by a retired chiropractor. Unfortunately, not only was my condition not improved, but the treatment I received repeatedly ignored the proven recommendations of another medical professional whose methods had worked for me in the past.
Despite signing up for eight appointments in one month, nearly every visit was a repeat visit to address the same unresolved issue. Only one of those appointments was due to any perceived progress—everything else was a result of the pain returning the very next day. Your staff showed no willingness to consider or even review the recommendations provided by my former chiropractor.
Instead, they dismissed the previous treatment plan entirely, causing additional stress through dismissive behavior and arguments during appointments. This was particularly damaging, as stress is a direct trigger and root cause of my disability. Rather than help, your clinic exacerbated my condition both physically and mentally.
Frankly, The Joint Chiropractic appears to be more reflexology-focused and ill-equipped to handle serious, complex issues. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend your clinic to anyone suffering from genuine or chronic pain conditions.
For these reasons, I am formally requesting a full refund for the treatment package I purchased. I feel that my time and money were completely wasted, and I was caused undue stress and discomfort in the process.
I would appreciate a prompt response to this letter, and I expect the matter to be resolved professionally and in full.

The Joint Chiropractor. My back pain has been worse since started. I’ve told the workers several times my pain is worse. Chiropractor kept telling me give more time and adjustments. I lay on and ice pack all day after adjustment. These people won’t let me cancel!!! They want to cause me more pain instead of refunding!!!Business Response

Since my first visit at The Joint **********, I have been nothing but lied to and mislead by the entire team. I was originally told if I signed up for the membership same day, I would receive 3 free visits that roll over and do not expire. To my surprise, upon trying to use those visits the next month, they were no longer available.Then, after trying to reach a manager for MONTHS, never once did one reach out. I called in regarding cancelling my membership multiple times and was verbally told it was taken care of and not to worry about it any longer. I assumed it was cancelled. 3 months later (2-27-25), I receive a notification that The Joint charged my card for $79. THREE MONTHS AFTER MY LAST VISIT AND AFTER I WAS TOLD IT WAS CANCELLED. I spent all day yesterday speaking to the Patient advocate and the receptionist, which neither were really of any assistance. The advocate offered me 6 free visits lol ! I never got my first 3 visits! at this time, I am just requested the $79 to be refunded as i will never be returning to this office. I am very displeased and disappointed with the way business is ran there.Business Response

Signed up for services, billable every month.
In may 2024 requested to suspend services for 3 months.
Business charged monthly fee anyway without authorization.
I requested a refund for those 3 months in Nov 2024, and cancelled the subscription.
Business agreed to fully refund on Nov 12 2024.
They Refunded 1 month on Nov 13.
On Dec 9 2024 they illegally charged me $89 for a month even after my total cancellation.
After my complaint, they refunded only $89. Still owe me $89x2mo=$178, ignoring my requests for a refund from now on.Initial Complaint

I have canceled my membership last month, January 11, at 4pm. Yet they continue to try and charge me monthly fees. I was told I could cancel at any time before the end of the month and they would no longer charge me, yet they continue to try and bill me.Business Response

I have been having my membership at the joint for about 2 years sometimes I wouldnt go in for two moths because I didn't need it. I was paying $20 a month but on May 28th I stopped by after a while and they told me my membership got canceled and if I would like to renew it and I said yes, they only asked me for a signature to confirm and on September 12 I noticed the charge and reached out to them and nobody answered I sent the email again on September 18 because I didnt get an answer and still nothing so I stopped by today and they said that I signed the contract that they cant do anything about but refund 1 month and thats not okay because I was never asked nor did I request to change my plan.Business Response

Originally paid for a ten session visit. Upon reviewing bank records for taxes I found out I have been being charged $79 a month since 08/2022. They never told me about a monthly membership, and I never wanted a membership, just the ten visits. They say I signed a contract but provided none when asked. I never would have signed a contract and then not used it for over two years. The times I went I thought were part of the ten visits I paid for. It was for the joint chiropractic in south Jordan, Utah. The phone number there is 385-275-0600. They have been unwilling to return my money but I never signed up for this service. I wanted ten visits and that’s it. I went a total of 13 times from beginning to end. I would have gone once a week if I knew I had a membership. They don’t tell you how many times you go, so I assumed I was still in the ten visits I had paid for. There’s no reason I would sign up for a membership as well as a ten visit program. I would have just bought a membership and not paid for ten visits. Makes no sense.Business Response

Joint Chiropractic told me that I only need to sign up for two months mandatory. After that, you need to let us know if you want to sign up or not. I never went back after two months and still continues to charge me $89 every month. They told me miscommunication and while they told me wrong information and still trying to charge me monthly. July 09, 2024 was charging me automatically even thought I never went to ********* in ************ since I did not like the way they do their service.Business Response
