    According to our records, see attached PDF, on January 22nd, 2024, Ms. ******** return to our facility with a concern of a brake pulsation, we replaced the front rotors and pads and resurfaced the rear rotors only. On February 19th, 2024, Ms. ******** returned with a concern of brake squealing, we applied an anti-squeal solution to the front and rear pads and road tested for the concern, it was determined the condition was no longer present. Ms. ******** returned again on April 24th with a concern of a screeching noise mostly in the rear of the vehicle. We inspected the brakes and decided to replace the rear rotors and pads as goodwill. Destination Kia is willing to reinspect and measure the front and rear rotors and pads that were replaced in January and April of 2024 and if we can find an issue with the parts, we will investigate any applicable parts warranties to satisfy the customers concerns.

    My complaint against *** destination is still not resolved, they should be contacting *** manufacturer to get this approved and resolved. I don't understand how or why Shelly from Kia Destination told me, I should have an answer for an approval by last Fri. 08/02/24 and I heard nothing then I called Shelly on Mon. 08/05/24, and again she told me, I should have an answer for an approval by last Tues. 08/06/24 and I am still waiting as of yet today, 08/12/24.

    We have been in contact with the manufacture and currently waiting for authorization on repairs. Until it has been determined the repairs are covered under warranty, Kia will not approve alternate transportation.     In 20201 I bought a Kia Telluride from destination Kia, During the purchase I asked about the warranty on the car, I was told, it comes with 5year 60,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty also a 10 year 100,000 power train warranty. I few months ago I started noticing the air conditioner in the car was not working, I brought the car back to destination Kia and had them do a diagenetic on the car. After the diagnostic i was told a rock had gotten under where the air conditioner sits and caused it to leak. to fix it it would be around $2000. I asked about the warranty, they told me its not covered under the warranty. I called Kia about the situation, they stated the same. they said me driving the car had caused a rock to get in and it would not be covered.
    I said if driving it can get a rock in, that is a defect of design, it should be covered.
    I did not get any resolution from either.

    We inspected the vehicle for Mr. ******* concern of the air conditioning not blowing cold. Upon diagnosis we found that there was damage to the condenser. Kia America's warranty does not cover physical damage, the warranty is for mechanical defects on parts. Mr. ***** contacted Kia consumer affairs for goodwill consideration, please see attached correspondence, but the request was denied. Destination Kia is willing to offer a 10% discount on parts and labor for the repair as per goodwill if the customer decides to have the repairs done at our facility.

    Be purchased a used car and they maliciously hid a hole in the carpet of the floor and the car was covered because it is a certified pre-owned so we scheduled a service appointment and instead of fixing it the proper way which would be to replace the carpet. But instead all they did was put a heel guard over the hole which is not the correct way to repair it and I called and left a message but nobody wants to help resolve my problem even after speaking with the service manager

    Car has been at dealer for a month
    Warranty I paid $3,000 for wants dealer to take motor apart to show full problem to possibly cover fix and dealer wants $1,500 to cover expense of tear down.
    Why should I cover expense when I paid for warranty that covers all diagnostics

    We have spoken with the warranty company to resolve the customers concern and we came to an agreement with the warranty company and the customer on the cost of the diagnosis. As with many extended warranty companies, they require a cause of failure in order to authorize coverage and it is the responsibility of the consumer to approve the diagnosis. If the failed part is in fact covered by warranty the diagnosis will be added to the authorization leaving any deductible charges to be paid by the consumer.

    Ongoing problem with kia fixing my vehicle. I've had my car almost 3yrs and it's spent half of the time off road and at dealership. The communication with this place is not professional at all, multiple times calling sometimes for days and I get nothing or told someone will call and never does. We have spent thousands and gone into debt dealing with this company. I get a constant run around and have to wait weeks on end just to hear wat they have to say. Currently my car sits at dealership again, now for 33days, prior to that they just had it 7wks. My husband lost his job 3wks ago because we are being told kia does not cover rentals and have had to rely on expensive uber rides. We have been complaining about the same thing with the car since our 1st time having to take it to shop 6mo after I got it, but nooone fixed thst problem they just kept finding other things to fix. And now I'm dealing with the back and forth with them claiming noone wants to fix it or it's not being covered or they need more proof. This has been the worst experience I've ever dealt with. And it just gets worse. Something needs to be done about these people.

    We have been in contact with the customers extended warranty company on many occasions to obtain authorization to complete the necessary repairs to Ms. ******'s vehicle. The warranty company wanted to replace the cylinder head but the repairs that our technician diagnosed required replacement of the long block assembly. After several discussions and inspection by the warranty company they have agreed with our diagnosis and have authorization replacement of the long block assembly. The necessary parts have been ordered 2/8/2024 and anticipate the repairs to be completed by the week of 2/19/2024. We apologize and agree this process has taken longer than expected, but we are confident the repairs will provide Ms. ****** with the proper repairs for the breakdown of her Kia Soul.

    Kia lifetime warranty on rod bearing failure for my engine is in place. My engine failed. The entire 5 years I've owned this car, every 3000 miles, there would be no more engine oil left in my car and I'd have to get an oil change. The mechanics that would change my oil would say that the oil filter was clogged with metal shards that were coming off the engine. And I was told by Kia that I couldn't have my engine replaced until it failed. They are now saying that what is wrong with my engine is not the rod bearings and that the warranty does not cover why my engine failed (I believe he said the pistons were bad.) I've done my research and found that what causes pistons to fail is rod bearing failure. Noone from Destination Kia will call me back and I'm stuck paying for a rental until this gets resolved. They want me to pay $6000 to put in a new engine on a 5 year old car. I have contacted Kia Consumer Affairs but they are telling me that Destination Kia is not responding to their contact requests. This warranty should be honored and the lack of communication from anyone at Destination Kia is unacceptable.

    We are aware and emapthetic to Ms Flints concerns but after investigation we uncovered the following...DESTINATION KIA has never seen this vehicle or had this vehicle in for service until it was well over 130,000 miles. The normal powertrain warranty for a new Kia is 100,000 miles. There have been instances where KIA MOTORS of AMERICA will offer an extension but there has to be a documented history of regular maintenance and it has to be for rod failure--not piston failure -Ms Flints car suffered a piston failure. 

    Additonally, DESTINATION KIA certainly should not be named as the responsible party in this complaint--

        We were not the selling dealer

         We were never a servicing dealer at any point in time within the warranty period

         We never performed or were asked to perform any of the scheduled maintenance during that lengthy warranty period

    KIA MOTORS OF AMERICA --not DESTINATION KIA--made the determination that the vehicle was not eligible for the repair and neither the repair type OR the required maintenance history met the requirement necessary for the vehicle to be eligible. KIA MOTORS OF AMERICA did in fact inform the customer of their decision
