Be prepared to receive an outrageously high bill from Albertson Electric Inc. unless you get an estimate before they set foot in your home. I needed simple electrical work done in my basement: a new outlet and a cheap bare bulb fixture replaced; and they charged me $407, mostly labor! Contractor-friend told me it should have cost me no more than $250. Called and was met with a nasty receptionist and an unreasonable owner. All I wanted was an explanation of the charges in relation to the scope of the work, and the owner just screamed and yelled at me so loudly that my husband could hear him from another room. At one point, he did let the truth slip that it takes them about a half hour to install a new outlet! So what exactly did his tech do in my home for over two hours other than to hike up the labor charges? I questioned the owner about the integrity of the man he sent not only because he dragged out the job but also because he broke a glass chandelier shade and never owned up to it even after I heard the crash and asked him about it: he said all was OK. I discovered the pieces days later when I almost stepped on the broken glass with my bare feet. The owner told me he would talk to his man regarding the damage. Never called me back nor resolved the issue. Instead, weeks later, he sent me another copy of the bill but this time with a nasty letter demanding full payment or he would take me to court. Real classy. I'll pay the bill because Albertson Electric Inc. has demonstrated that the client has no value or rights, and I feel strong-armed into it. Plus its not worth my time to fight for the $150+ difference long-term if the owner makes good on his threat. What is worth my time is sharing my bad experience with others because I feel so ripped off and disrespected by Albertson Electric Inc.as a woman and a senior citizen. Avoid the aggravation of doing business with Albertson Electric Inc., a business that is NOT accredited by the BBB. Go figure.
