My car was in and out for 12 days and was worse each time it came out..BUT they try to lie their way around and gaslight the customer..WOW! They are literally a bunch of degenerates..I would give zero stars if I could. Consumer Beware!!!!

The customer came in on 10/12/23 with a check engine light. Customer was charged for an O2 sensor. 6 months later the vehicle returned with a check engine light again. The vehicle’s computer flagged for a catalytic converter. The customer requested to purchase the part elsewhere at a lower price and have us install it. We do not warranty customer supplied parts, nor can we verify the quality of the parts. After the customer had us install the catalytic converter, the light continued to come on. We suggested him to allow us to supply a catalytic converter where we can verify quality and that it meets standards. The customer did not want to go that route. We are unfortunately out of options for the customer. There is nothing more that we can do to resolve the issue.

Absolutely incompetent! From the Front st to the Court St shop, constantly charging for unnecessary repairs, failure to diagnose problems, misdiagnosing, failing to act within a reasonable standard of care ( Employees yelling and hanging up on customers and threats while vehicle is in possession of the shop), Failing to replace damaged parts, claiming they are installing manufacturers parts and installing after market parts, Not performing correct procedures needed for repairs, installing wrong parts and charging customer, damaging other parts of the vehicle while attempting to make a replacement.
They replaced parts, claimed everything was fixed and working and upon pick up, same issue was at hand when the vehicle was dropped off.
I also asked for a quote for a touchscreen LCD radio with carp play and all the new bells and whistles and the Front st shop went ahead and installed a used radio that looks like it is from the 90s and charged me $250 for it. I was about to take a road trip and did not have time to wait for a new radio and was stuck with this piece of garbage with terrible sound when the vehicle is clearly a company car for a music company that we own.... This list goes on.
Our vehicle is at a high end mechanic now and we are informed that Big E Tires installed defective parts that do not function properly. The regional manager is failing to return calls for over a month now, both shops are refusing to have a manager tend to a refund. Denied my an inspection claiming another over $400 job was needed. Vehicle has been to 2 other mechanics now and this was just another false attempt to take advantage of a customer, Vehicle is inspected according to state regulations and the apparent claim of defect is nonexistent.
This company is beyond negligent and should be shut down for their lack of professionalism, qualifications and taking advantage of their customers.

We were on our way home from Syracuse to Greenville sc when our car started hesitating. We brought the car to advanced auto and they scanned the car. The message came up with a misfire on #5 (spark plug). They recommended bigetire for the repair. We spoke to several people at the repair shop and they came back and said that the car had a module issue recall and would not touch it. They recommended that we take it to the dealer which luckily was a few minutes down the road. We took it to them and they said that all recall work is up to date on our van. We went back to bigetire and I asked them to just change out the spark plug and coil pak. The were talking in the back room and a man kept drawing numbers on the air with his hands $600. After a bunch of going back and forth they commuted to doing so but said it would be $650! They charged me $22 for one spark plug $123 for a coil pack, oil change that was not need (completed before we drove to NY) a manifold gasket $79 (stated that the manifold had to be removed to get to the spark plugs) did not have to and 2 hrs and 45 minutes of labor at $134. Time spent in vehicle 1:44 minutes. This group of people knew that we could not do anything about it because we were trying to get back home to SC. This is very disappointing to see mechanics taking advantage of people due to their situations. The owners of this establishment should take a close look at the people you have working there.

Hi *****. My name is Joe L****. I am very sorry to hear you are dissatisfied with your visit. I did investigate this for you. Tim suggested taking this particular issue to the dealer because there are Trouble Service Bulletins and recalls about this exact issue. This is a known issue with this particular motor. He was concerned about doing hundreds of dollars worth of work to the vehicle and you being left in the same position because there potentially was a bigger underlying issue. Tim is a A level technician and has a tremendous amount of experience dealing with problems such as these on your 3.6L engine. That is why he and Nick knew that the TSB and recall existed and printed that for you to bring to the dealer with you. If the work that was done solved the problem, that is great news. Tim stated that after returning, you requested us to change just the 1 spark plug and the coil pack. This design engine requires you to remove the intake manifold. When doing that, you must replace the gasket set due to the heat the gasket is exposed to. If it is alright with you, I would like to send you the labor look-up for this job. We (like most auto and body shops) use a 3rd party service for determining what to charge for labor to perform a particular repair. This protects you because if bolts are frozen (or we run into any other number of issues) and the job takes longer, you do not pay more then the time you were quoted. If a job takes less time, that is due to the technician having significant experience doing this particular job and being able to get it done quicker then the time that is allotted. If you will allow me to send you the labor look-up, you will notice that it shows your exact vehicle and motor size. The labor that I looked up was “spark plugs”. There are 2 different labors options that come up. You were charged the lesser of the 2. Both options state right in the description “remove and install intake plenum gasket”. If you would like to discuss this further, you are welcome to call me directly at ###-###-####. Unfortunately, I don’t find that our managers did anything wrong. It looks to me that he was looking out for your best interest, and that is why he initially sent you to the dealer. Thank you for your time and business. I hope that I could help put your mind at ease, and I hope to hear from you soon, Joe.

I have had 3 bad experiences with Big e tire on front st! This was the LAST STRAW! Yep you guessed it they saw a women coming and thought hhhmmm how much money can I make for the company today?
I had gone in there to buy 4 new tires
So I had 4 new tires put on ....had to go back to there store 2 times caz they did the alignment wrong..or just didn't /couldn't or care to do it. And in that they told me I needed 2 struts, sway bar links, rear brakes, rotors and another alignment. to the tune of 1,694.48 .3rd time I went to the one on court street to see if they could do it....it was no better....but the customer service was better....So Rob refunded my money for the alignment but we had to go to front street to get the money. I have had my car checked out at other places to see if it needed what they said....they said NO! there trying to get money from you.
Then I went last week for an oil change n inspection....they again tell me back brakes n wipers won't pass ,,,,then again were charging me crazy amount of money....Lucky I have 2 friends that helped me out on the spot to change those brakes that night....and come to find out....the brakes were fine!! lost of meat on them! I took it back to the manager which I had talked to last time about the bad experiences He had...he assured me that won't happen on his watch. ....HA! I took the brakes in to show him....it came down to ...he just didn't care. He is a right fighter... I would NOT go to that garage at all! his name is Mike S******. And he was not customer friendly....he talked down to me like I was a 3 year old. the day before all this happened. And then on the day I went back to show the brakes and for them to finish my inspection...he continued on with his disrespect! He had also done this with another customer (male) when I was there. No apologies, no how can I make it better.
Go just about any where else....NOT Big e...especially front st. Binghamton NY.
Disgusting how these garages treat people!
