    I ordered a box of fresh seafood from this company. It arrived on 7/11/24 via fed ex. The box was opened immediately. The smell was foul coming from it before opening like spoiled fish. Proceeded to open it to find warm product. The ice packs were in the bottom of the box instead of the seafood being encapsulated with ice to keep a safe temp. The product was all warm and spoiled. I contacted the company immediately via email as this is their only form of communication. I initially gave the wrong order number (which was my previous week order number) and corrected the email with the correct order number for this spoiled shipment. I was told the fish should smell strong and it looks fine in the pictures that I provided to the agent at their. The fish may appear fine in photos, but the problem is the fish is warm! The agent advised me to refrigerate it. I am not eating foul smelling and warm seafood and risk getting sick. All of the ice packs were melted. The agent also advised me that if I wanted to get the seafood more quickly to choose overnight shipping on my next order. Why is there even the option for two day shipping, like I chose, if the fish isnt going to come in satisfactory condition?

    Purchased fresh fish order from Ocean Box. Ultimate Seafood sampler. Their website and description both state skin removed. All fish came skin on. Several e-mails between them only they state some ship skin on or skin off.

    At this time, I have been contacted directly by OceanBox regarding complaint ID ********, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

    See attached email to BBB detailing the response. They were very combative and didn't resolve the issue. The manager (*****) did nothing but argue. No refund. I followed their complaint process before going to BBB. They argued I should have done more and their product was great hence the problem was not a issue. They indicated they changed the verbiage on their website. They did a couple days later but only partially. The incorrect language still remained in the details. No refund was processed and Ocean Box didn't offer to resolve.

    I placed an order on August 30 with a September 1, 2023 delivery date. At no point in the ordering process did they indicated this might be a problem. I entered my ******** address, they approved my delivery date and took my money. When I still hadnt receive my order on September 3rd, to accommodate my house guests, I had to purchase the same items from my local grocery store. This morning, September 5, 2023, when I still did not have a tracking number I contacted them and requested a cancellation with a refund. At 2:53 I received a response stating that they couldnt cancel my order because it had already shipped.. Then at 7:58 pm I was notified with a tracking number that was just processed with ****** They did not deliver on the products, Im out double the money, and they chose to ship the items after the fact. I believe they owe me for the additional money I had to spend however I would be satisfied if theyd just refund my original purchase.

    The seafood I received are rotten and smelly. I reported the issue immediately on June 23th. I emailed them several times and they said that the replacement was under review. On Auguest 3th, they said that they completed the rewiew and will not provide the replacement. This is unreasonable, the longer they wait, the fewer information they have about seafood freshness at that time. I need a refund of my order.
