  Oceanbox is awful. Dont waste your money. *** used home delivery food companies for years. I pay for convenience due to my busy lifestyle. Never have I ever had a company treat me so bad after a mistake they made. Treated me like a lier over $13 mahi mahi that they did not pack in my subscription. Ive used homechef, apron, butcher box, factor and others. As much as I use delivery services mistakes have happened and these other companies know how to do customer service right. ********************** is a joke. I guess they are close to going out of business since they love to argue over $13 two pack of mahi mahi. Do yourself a favor and avoid oceanbox. Not a company you want to do business with. *** I gave 1 star because my first few months using them there were not any mistakes but to be honest the packing quality and quality of fish went downhill quickly. Oh and they never ship on time. Big inconvenience for people that are busy and plan like myself.

  ordered from this company, but my package was delayed. Upon arrival, the food was warm and smelled terrible, indicating that the freshness mechanisms had clearly failed. I followed the return policy, but received confrontational emails that did not address my concerns. Despite my willingness to return the items, I was refused a refund. Then, without any further communication, I was left with the spoiled seafood items.

  Do not believe the ship date or arrival date provided. Even ordering 10 days in advance of when needed they missed the date. No idea on quality, or taste because I will not be able to try the food.First time customer last time buyer from **********************.

  As an individual who often orders seafood online for a 92 year old "Spinster," just kidding, she's a good natured widow who resides in ****, I have become familiar with good quality. When seeking the seasonal soft shell crab, lobster tails, crab cakes and the like, I often patronize ****** Seafood of ********. They are the best! However, when looking for the exotic and difficult to find Monk Fish, I was in need of an alternative source. Enter ***** *** Seafood. After reading BBB ratings, post ordering, I was alarmed and wanted to cancel. Conversely, upon reaching out to their customer service, I was contacted by a very courteous and professional young lady who reassured me that my dear friend in **** would receive a high quality product fresh and on time. The representative kept her word. Two days later, the fish arrived on time to be steamed for supper. (Tip - Don't follow the recipe. Rather, treat it just like lobster and you will be pleasantly satisfied.)As for the bad reviews, it is my surmise that ***** *** experienced what many small businesses went through due to the Pandemic. Albeit, at this point, it would appear that they have recovered. While I will stay with ******** Seafood in ********, for the regulars, ***** *** will be my first stop for Monk Fish, Sword Fish and Snapper. My friend just loved it! Would highly recommend!

  We received our order of 2 packs of scallops. They have been in transit since Monday 5/10. Today is 5/16. They are not even cold. I would like a full refund. They smell bad and would be afraid to eat.Very disappointed. **************** is not cooperative.

  The first time I ordered from them, I was to receive order on 12/22 after ordering in early DEc. It didn't come. I called them after finding a phone number online and when I reached them, they grilled me as to how I found the father's personal cell phone. I had to show them where I found it. They followed through after this and I received my order the next day and they paid the shipping. So I decided to try them again this month. Order didn't come on the day it was supposed to but came 5 days later. But they substituted another product for the one missing...no note, no asking what I might prefer instead. It just showed up. I didn't even like the looks of the fish and may just throw it out. I will never order from them again.

  Buyer beware, ordered lobster tails from them and when they arrived they were spoiled and rancid....Contacted customer service and they won't even respond...They are crooks and I'm a 1st and last time customer...I should have expected this from a ************* business...What goes around comes around, bottom feeders...

  Absolutely HORRIBLE experience with this company. We will NEVER purchase from them again. Our initial delivery was to arrive the day before it actually did, but did not arrive until late the next day. The packaging was dripping wet and none of the products were of a cool temperature. When I called the company, they informed me of their "no refund policy", and told me our items were delivered in an appropriate fashion. While their web site contains great promises, their product and customer service are 100% disappointing!!!!
