Shleppers just moved me from *** to *****. The entire experience was fantastic. I got quotes from 4 different companies. Shleppers was not the cheapest and definitely not the most expensive but they were fair. After speaking with *****, Relocation Consultant, I felt most comfortable moving forward with Shleppers. Since this was my first big move he took his time to help me understand the process in detail, made himself available to answer follow up questions and put my mind at ease. The move went smoothly, as scheduled, with no extra fees or last-minute changes and everything was delivered in the same condition as they picked it up. Movers on both end of this relocation were considerate, polite and efficient. I highly recommend Shleppers for any long distant move.

This is our first time working with them and I was very impressed. The workers were very efficient and careful when handling our stuff. I liked that they were very calm throughout. It was a very pleasant experience. Only thing is that the items are still in storage, so technically my move is not completed entirely yet. But given my very positive experience for the first part, I am quite confident with them and hope moving the stuff back out from storage will be just as seamless. Thanks!Shleppers Moving & Storage

Would give negative stars if I could. ***** this company like the plague, especially for interstate moves. Check their online reviews in other forums. I have moved around the country several times before, and from end-to-end my experience with Shleppers has been nightmarishly bad:- Spent an hour on FaceTime doing a detailed walkthrough of every inch of my apartment to get a binding quote. Movers show up and immediately start commenting that the quote was off - this is moving day so clearly I don't have other options I can quickly deploy. Ultimately charged more than $1,000 (+20%) from original quote, which I am now disputing with my ************ Despite explicit instructions, the movers left things behind we asked them to pack. Though remarkably, they did pack and move the actual garbage in our garbage can cross-country. Despite their claims, this is not a company you can "leave alone to do your move" - I should have been micro-managing their crew - Upon arrival, we noticed an array of missing and damaged items - Their customer service is a joke, will ignore your emails for weeks, and their HQ employees are quite rude. Be prepared to use New York attitude when dealing with this sham operation - Again, check their reviews online. They have under 3 stars on Yelp for a reason. My huge mistake was trusting my building/landlord, which recommended them. While that facilitated processes like clearing the *** with the landlord, it has been a tremendous mistake ever working with this operation (and I have written to my landlord to remove them from the list of recommended movers)AVOID SHLEPPERS AT ALL COSTS if you value your belongings, your money, and your peace of mind.Shleppers Moving & Storage

Schleppers moved me out of my three bedroom apartment stored my furniture for 2 months and returned nearly half of my furniture broken, damaged and in irreparable condition. I only asked for reimbursement for the items I paid to get refixed (10% of total damage) but they didn't reimburse me for the damages saying I only bought basic insurance which offered $120 reimbursement for nearly $10,000 damage they caused. I didn't even know they offered levels of insurance, they ***** told me about this during the sales conversation. The damage they cause was due to a job very poorly done. They failed to do the basic protection of my furniture while being moved and stored. Let me explain. They didn't wrap carpets and lamps in plastic wrapper and lampshades got ripped and carpets got completely soiled staying two months in storage - I had to throw one light blue carpet which returned completely black. One box of plates came back completely ripped open. 16 dinner plates broken. They offered cents for reimbursement $25 dinner plates each. They broke two book shelves and one chest of drawers, one credenza - in completely irreparable condition, 10x12 carpet, one large piece of art (which I had warned at the time of packing that wasn't properly protected and it did get damaged). The list is so long and I waited for a month and a half before writing this review hoping they would come forward and compensate me for me damages but they didn't. On top of everything, on the day of my move in, their truck showed up 2hrs 45 minutes late and caused my move to be postponed to the next day. Despite my several attempts to point out their mistake they overcharged me and further delayed my move in on day 2 refusing to move my furniture until I sign the paper work with the elevated price. I hope this serves as a useful piece of information for others considering to use this company. They are not even worth one star. Stay away from them!Shleppers Moving & Storage

I highly recommend Schleppers Movers for any moving needs you have. I was a little nervous using a moving company because it has been over 20 years dealing with one but ***** and ******* at Shleppers made the process smooth. Also, the movers were on time, friendly, and very professional, the move was a success and I am happy with the outcome.Shleppers Moving & Storage
