1 starThis company is the worst I have ever dealt with. Submitted a claim on March 4, 2025. They would not fix my problem but offered me a check for $250 after a 45-day waiting period. After waiting 45 days was told check was mailed on 5-8, never rec'd, told check was mailed on 5-12, never rec'd, was told check was mailed on 5-27, never rec'd. As of this date, 6-20-2025 no check received. Have made several calls, sent e-mails, left voice messages no response NO check. Maybe the Better Business Bureau can help.Review fromRaegan J

1 starThis is the third home warranty company I have tried, and I must say, there is nothing "Elite" about this one. In fact, they are the worst I have ever experienced. I decided to try them on the strength of their BBB rating. The company's level of unprofessionalism is unmatched. I have not had ONE service call where there wasn't an issue. The hold times to speak to an Elite representative are long. One was 15 minutes. The technicians they send to your residence are typically late, with no communication. I had one service request where they sent an electrician and a plumber to replace a garbage disposal. Never in my existence have I heard of a garbage disposal installation requiring both. In fact, the electrician Elite sent, stated that. And as a result, Elite charged me for both techs, which went against my electrical and plumbing allowances. I could go on and on but here are the highlights: Elite will take your money quickly for a service request, and will take their time to assign it. Elite will be slow to respond when you file a claim. In many instances phone calls will not be returned, you have to stay on them. Most of their technicians are unprofessional. They don't answer your calls or return them. When you finally get something scheduled, the technicians either show up late or not at all, forcing you to reschedule appointments.Elite will promise to call you back with information when you have an issue with a claim, 9/10 it will not happen. You may speak with 2-5 different Elite representatives regarding your claim. Because of this, you have to resend information, misinformation can be spread, and you are left frustrated. You may have to ask for the matter to be escalated before you receive resolution. This has happened to me three times. You are not fully covered under your plan until after 90 days. It's buried in the agreement, and your sales person will mislead you regarding this. I have no idea how this company has a B rating.Review fromPaula S

1 starIf I could leave less than one star I would. Worst home warranty ever.!My hot water heater went out was without hot water for 7 days in the winter!Filed a claim on the first day it went out!They sent out a repairman who said the water heater needed to be replaced. The water heater was 11 years old. He contacted Elite and they sent another company repairman out. Same diagnosis they wanted to send a 3rd repairman out and I said no way. Called Elite spoke to a manager went round and round with manager and finally she agreed to send me $500 towards a new water heater. My two sons went to ****** bought a water heater and put it in themselves. I will not renew with Elite!Review fromTiffany C

1 starBUYERS, DO NOT CHOSE THIS COMPANY! This company deserves a zerobut here we are. They were great in ********, then the service plans changed, and the quality dropped faster than the stock market in 08. Like other reviewers have noted, Elite will use any fine print they can to deny, delay, or reduce your claim. Their go-to move? Offer to send you $200$300 instead of a technician, leaving you to find and pay for the repair while you wait 45 days for them to process a check and another 15 days to mail it.Youll be chasing plumbers, electricians, or appliance techs on your ownout of pocketwhile Elite calls that coverage. Their supervisors? Often aggressive, fast-talking, and oddly reminiscent of used car lot closers.Its not anger, its just the factsand its deeply disappointing. 1 starStill No Reimbursement After nearly Four Months -- Endless Runaround I had a repair done in February 2025 that was pre-approved by Elite Home Warranty. I paid for it out of pocket and submitted the claim, expecting a straightforward reimbursement process. I was told it would take 3045 days for the claim to be processed.That time passed with no update, so I began calling and Ive called every week for nearly two months since then. Still didn't get my check. Week after week, Im told the same thing: We will send the check by the end of this week. But the check never comes. 5 starsI can't write enough good things about Elite Home warranty. I am 100% satisfied with thr way they have treated me. Their service prompt , predictable and out standing. They not only act right away and follow up to find out whether my work was taken care of.This is my second year with this company. I get lots of offers ( i don't know how they find out i was looking for a" home ********************* I will never consider anyone over my current company "Elite" If i tell you how kindly this comany has treated me it will take coupe of pages. And some of you will not believe me. 1 starThis warranty company is a huge fraud !!! They lure customers to sign up and prepay for a longer warranty duration by offering discount but when it comes to coverage, they don't cover anything. I bought their "Elite Complete Plan with *************** Plus" coverage by paying upfront for 3 yrs in October 2024. They offered me $10K coverage per HVAC system per year. Since, then I have several claims with them regarding HVAC and none of them have been covered by them including claims for evaporator coil and compressors that are basic or core components of any HVAC system. Their fine print says that ll components and parts (like evaporator coil and compressors) needed to perform its full functionality are covered but then right underneath they lay out What is Not Covered Under Policy and in that they lay out all the conditions under which these core components generally fail during normal operations. In essence, it's a bait and switch, they fraud you into signing up for long term maintenance contract, collect hefty premium from you and then they don't cover anything at all.I would NOT RECOMMEND this company to anyone. 1 starThe worst experience to buy home warranty with Elite home warranty, first of all they will not pick up your phone and keep you in waiting for one hour an average wait time, when I filled the claim (after a long process) the claim was about my a/c unit, their technician came inspected and said it needs to replace some coil and Elite representative called me we dont cover coils, technician told me the parts to fix the unit are not available so you need to replace the unit, check their advertisement they claim if we cant repair it we replace it but when times come they back out. It is very annoying bad experience to deal with such company, I just called them to cancel my policy, be alert before buying home warranty. Thanks for your time.Review fromAngela P

1 starIf I could give this company a zero rating , I would. I have no confidence that this review will impact resolving my issue, but wanted to warn consumers to read their contracts carefully. I filed a claim for a water heater issue, it was an urgent matter as my garage and portion of my structural walls in my home endured extensive water damage from this hot water tank leak. I stated this was an emergency but was told 24 to 48 hours is the contract response time. With a flooding home, that a turned off water valve didnt fix, I called a local plumbing company after not receiving any response within 24 hrs. I later called Elite and asked if they would consider reimbursement of the water heater and my claim was denied stating I did not receive prior authorization to control the water heater leak issue. I petition that you READ YOUR CONTRACT carefully as I thought filing a claim to notify this company of the issue was enough justification to make a decision about an emergency water leak. Their job is to find a way to deny your claim and collect almost $1200 a year for doing absolutely nothing. I hope no one has to endure this awful experience! ****** ********
