    Job not done with in time frame and is only about3/4 of it has been done but not properly and cheapest materials.

    In September, 2022, I contracted with Robert C****** (C****** Cozy Cabins) to build, deliver, and set up a **** ***** ** cabin to be placed on my property in Dundee, NY. Build and delivery was to be completed by contractor in his facility during the winter months and delivered to my site in the late spring 2023. Per the contract with the contractor, I paid the contractor $30,000 by checks as deposit to begin the build process. To date (10/10/23), the contractor has not begun the build and has informed me in June, 2023, that he and his facility are not approved to build a **** ***** ** cabin. As such, he offered to refund my deposit on 6/28/23 and we agreed to its return to us. To date (10/10/2023) I have yet to receive any refund. Contractor has falsely claimed to be getting our refund to me on more then 5 occasions; but has always come up with an excuse on his failure to process and deliver my refund to me. I have made numerous documented contacts to the contractor. Contractor frequently does not respond to my emails, texts, and phone calls. Contractor sets up meetings to deliver refund to us and then never shows up. I have copies of contract, cancelled checks from me to the contractor, and emails and texts. These are available to BBB, but not submitted at this time due to volume. I can send hard copies of such if needed.

    I hired ****** ******* to construct a turn-key 14x24 Whitetail 2 floorplan cabin from a portfolio of cabin floorplans he builds. He drew up a contract that we both signed on March 26, 2022 and at that time I paid him a cashier's check in the amount of $39,984 in order to expedite the build of my cabin and to "lock in" the best price. He has not finished the cabin project and is not responsive to my messages. He makes excuses such as he has Covid, he broke his ankle, he's getting a divorce, etc. and he makes promises /says he will come and finish the job "the first week in June" or he will hire a subcontractor to finish the job and/or he will have the remaining materials "trucked/transported" to the cabin site --He does not follow through on any of the promises. He has not been to the cabin to work on it since Jan. 2023. He does not respond to my messages in a timely manner and when he does eventually respond, it is a partial response. He is not communicative.
