  I strongly urge you not to use Solidifi or any of the real Estate Agents or Companies that are on their list in the Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. I believe there is some hidden bias that has occurred to me when I just recently had my home appraised. The mortgage company contracted with Solidifi and they sent a real estate company do an appraisal on my home which is in an up incoming area everyone is moving to this area where I live its, close to schools, restaurants, parkway and downtown Pittsburgh but in the suburbs. My home was built in 2001 with an acre and a quarter of land which is over 3,000 square foot of house this was the first discrepancy when I looked at the report just today there is a difference of several square footage from what I am paying on the tax records which is public knowledge from what was reported on the report which has caused a significant decrease in what this appraiser has my home valued at. The comparables had less square foot than mine, one or two less bedrooms, and one or two less bathrooms. I had to submit to the mortgage company my own comparables that were more similar to what I have still waiting on a response from the mortgage company now. If you can find a home like mine for $321,000 good luck to you because you won't in this market but that is what this appraiser valued my house at, I am going to give you a comparison. The average cost of a home today is around $123/ square foot source (realtor.com) this appraiser has my homes square footage at 2649 so even if agreed my house was 2649 square which I don't agree it would be $325,827 but homes in my area sale for much more than the average it's probably more like $150 or higher / square foot. The bottom line is this company Solidifi and the Agents they send out do not have your best interest and if you mortgage company or anybody else says they are sending them out to do an appraisal request they send somebody else because they are not using the current market trends.

  I was recently forced to use Solidifi for a home appraisal by my bank. Solidify emailed me to demand prepayment of $400 prior to taking on my case. A few weeks later after the appraisal was done they charged my credit card for $600. No communication whatsoever happened before, during, or after this process. I was not told they finished the job, I was not told about the extra charges, I did not receive a receipt, I was not informed how to contact the person doing the appraisal.... nothing. The bank told me that the appraised value ended up being exactly the same price as I was purchasing the house for.... At this point I doubt they even appraised it and just read the real estate listing from their office.

  Solidifi has contacted me through BBB and offered to work with my lender to resolve any outstanding service issues. This is a nice gesture, though I would obviously prefer if they would just work with me to resolve these issues, since that was my problem in the first place.
  Unfortunately the BBB website does not seem to provide a way to reply to their email or contact Solidifi through the site.
  I have reached out to solidifi by using their website's contact information and they were marginally helpful. I managed to receive a receipt for my payment after significant struggle. None of my other concerns were addressed appropriately. At this point I will continue to strongly recommend against using their service for any reason whatsoever. Initial service was abysmal, and customer service is bad.
