      On Oct 10, 2022, I placed an order for custom ***** shades with *****'s Design Center based on previous orders with this business and satisfactory work completion. The cost of the shades for two rooms was $6,806.44. A deposit of $2,000 was paid via ***************** The shades were delivered & installed and balance due charged on Dec 15, 2022. On Dec 20 I initially contacted the company by phone to express my disappointment with the finished product. On Jan 9 I sent a text followed by an email with photos to express again the poor quality of the product. Between Jan 10th and Jan 23rd there were multiple emails between myself and the business with indications that I would get a call from ***** but did not receive that call until Jan 23rd. Not being able to reach ***** to discuss possible resolution I filed a dispute with **** on Jan 17, 2023. When I finally connected with ***** on Jan 23, 2023, he advised that he would not speak with me due to the dispute. **** closed my dispute on March 10th and 12th for both the deposit and balance finding in my favor. As the work product is definitely of poor quality I would like ***** to remove the shades from my home for failure to attempt resolution and customer satisfaction for items not worth the cost.

      ********************* was happy at the time of installation.  She signed both of my approval forms and her credit card authorization.

      But she then called **************** to dispute both her deposit in the amount of $2,000 and the balance due $4,800.

      She now has $6,800 worth of free window treatments.

      I am now suing her in the court system.

      Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ********, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: 

       I was not happy at the time of installation and expressed my dissatisfaction with the installer, who advised me to call **********************. I did not sign an approval form; all I signed was that the items had been delivered and installed. I also did not sign a credit card authorization form -********************** had my credit card number from the deposit and just charged my card. When I contacted him several days later, he told me that he would not discuss this matter until I had waited 3 weeks and then, if still not satisfied, I should email him. I waited the 3 weeks and emailed him the reasons for being dissatisfied. He then proceeded to put me off for another 3 weeks with excuses for not discussing the matter with me. To protect myself, I felt I had to file a dispute with **************** to get his attention. I was fully willing to discuss options to see if there was a way to resolve the issue and would then have rescinded the dispute with ****************. Still, he stated that he would not speak with me, and that I could not rescind the dispute, and I never heard from him again until I got a letter from an attorney that he was suing me. I do not have $6800 of "free window treatments" - I have poorly constructed items that hang in my window, are difficult to maneuver, and look terrible, which I would like him to remove. Unfortunately, his work has deteriorated to such a great extent. He did work for me before, which was of very high quality, so I chose to work with him instead of another company. I am very sorry that I did.
      If you look at the photos you can see that the strings are not lined up, the top is just a metal rod and the fabric is not smooth on the rod. The fabric is not reinforced where the strings come through which will lead to ripping of the fabric due to the weight of the rod and shade. The shades are difficult to align horizontally because of the separate strings that all move individually. All in all, poor construction and poor quality of shades that were custom made at great expense.
