I purchased a kitten from Westchester Puppies & Kittens under the clear promise that she was a purebred Maine **** a major factor in my decision to pay a premium price of over $4,300.Months later, after the kitten matured and began showing physical traits inconsistent with the breed, I ordered a DNA test and consulted with my veterinarian. Both confirmed that she is not a purebred, but a mix of several breeds. She lacks the defining features of a Maine **** including size, coat, ear tufts, and structure.Despite providing thorough documentation, including DNA results and a vets written evaluation, the store refused to acknowledge the issue, assist in any way, or offer even a partial refund. Instead, they dismissed the evidence entirely and refused responsibility. This has been a deeply disappointing experience. Not only was I misled as a consumer, but I was also met with a complete lack of accountability or customer support. Selling animals under false pretenses and ignoring valid concerns reflects a serious breach of business ethics and violates the spirit of New Yorks Pet Lemon Law, which exists to protect buyers in precisely these situations. This experience has made it clear that Westchester Puppies & Kittens prioritizes profit over honesty, transparency, and ethical conduct. I would strongly urge others to do extensive research before purchasing from this store. They sell under false pretenses and take no responsibility. Buyers beware!

Although we love our brand new dog, we are disgusted by the behavior of the owner after we expressed our concerns about their emergency number response time. First off, it is only via text. We waited a hour and she was completely unprofessional and shared that she deals with complaints all the time and doesnt care at all. She doesnt handle criticism well at all and calls her customers names like a child would. I wont share the screenshots of our conversation. due to the vulgarity. And the possibility my review wont be allowed. I wish I could though. Do yourself a favor and read all the reviews on ******. Although you will find positive ones, it is the negative ones that you should be concerned about. After my encounter with her, believe every word of it. In spite of her denying it and accusing the reviewer of lying. That alone should be a red flag. We unfortunately were not diligent before hand. Thats on us but then we wouldnt have had this particular dog that we love dearly. Also, they are by far over priced. But we payed because we were blinded by love. Overall, I suggest you go elsewhere. There are plenty of other options. This place should not be one of them. Good luck.

Scammers. Sold me a kitten which they claimed to be a purebred Russian blue for over 3 K, the price you pay for a purebred. Well, my kitten is 8 months old and never developed green eyes, a distinct feature of a purebred Russian blue. never mailed me his pedigree either. And the cute photos of Russian blue kittens on their site have been there for many months, they are just bait and switch.

The website contains misleading advertising. It says "available puppies" but they aren't really available! I know that websites can get out-dated so I texted 48 hours before and received a message with photos of puppies, confirming their availability. So I got the family in the car and we drove all the way there (which took hours) and when we walked into the place, there were only two available, and they looked sickly. The guy working there just said "oh they must have all been sold yesterday." Really? Gosh, that seems highly unlikely. Very poor customer experience. Would highly recommend that customers choose a more professional, reliable and trustworthy business.

JT.I purchased a Mainecoon earlier this year let me say she's been great and was the best investment and companion I ever made but with that being said. There were some discussions, not disclosed when I adopted my new pet. My cat is diagnosed with FHV (Feline Herpes Virus). This means they have a constant eye problem only in their left eye. Some symptoms are severe to mild, and some never even show. Now when I told this to ******** nothing was done other than the fact I would be reimbursed for the cost of medication and vet visits. I never would have purchased a cat that has visible signs of FHV if I knew I would be going to the vet regularly. Now she takes medication from Lysine to ********, soon she's going to see a vet specialist in regards to her eye. I know what you are thinking why not return the cat and maybe get your money back, according to the contract the animal has to be diagnosed terminally and a signed statement by the vet indicating that the animal is not physically able to recover and recommended to be put down. I'm not here to bash ******** I'm just here to give whoever reads this a cautionary tale. If you choose to purchase an animal through this company be aware that they may have the documents on where this animal came from and current up-to-date vaccinations. But they may not tell you if the animal has a chronic or underlying condition.

These guys deserve a zero. They are running a puppy mill business and are so rude and obnoxious. Stay away and don't even be tempted with their scams. They are a very deceiving business and the owner berates all of their reviews and comments. They are not even BBB rated by the ************************** they have survived this long is because no one has turned them in. They need to be turned into the humane society. There is a reason they get only a 1 review. Stay away and go somewhere else for your 4 legged babies. They are scam artists and scumbags.

The fact that this ignoramus would use the word “scumbag” in his complaint just shows what type of person we are dealing with. It’s sad and pathetic.

Purchased a puppy here and was told one price. After they cleaned him and prepared all the paperwork (and he was in my daughters arms), they gave me a price $500 more than what the woman had initially stated. When I questioned it, she replied I talk fast so you probably didnt understand me. My 12 yo daughter and her friend both heard the original price so no, there was no misunderstanding. Got into the car with the puppy and heard him coughing. He has been gagging and coughing ever since. It literally keeps him (and us) up all night. Long story short, 3 weeks later Im over $1000 in vet bills and medications. Vet gave me an unfit for sale letter so that I can get reimbursed under the ******** lemon law. I provided them all the info they need, under the law, and they are still not complying. Im not asking for a new pup- he is our family now. Im not asking for a full refund. Im just asking for the vet bills to be covered bc they sold me a sick dog. There is NO WAY the pup never coughed before getting into my car. Gimme a break. They KNOWINGLY sold me a sick pup OR they pay such little attention to the pups they have, they genuinely didnt notice he was sick. Either way, disgusting. Little do they know, my brother is a *** attorney so, stay tuned. Bottom line: DO NOT BUY FROM HERE.

My name is *************************. My husband purchased a Siamese kitten on 2/4/24.We reached out to the owners to get more information on the breeder. The **** reply was that our 'contract was with them and not the breeder'. The owners are unable to provide the breeder's USDA license number, and says it will be in our pedigree papers in 120 days! Our kitten, purchased 11 days ago, is in intensive care. She is overwhelmed with parasites, including giardia, roundworm, and coccidia. We are praying for a recovery.
