      Yesterday my wife requested her vision prescription while at an appointment at SightMD, *******. They charged her $50 for the prescription. I researched and found that according to the ***, charging patients for their lens prescriptions is illegal. I went to the office and they refused to refund my $50.

      Dr. ******** ** ******* anopthalmologist at Sught MD ************************************* tel ************. The doctor prescribed me XDemvy eyedrops for an eye condition, it is the only cure for that condition, blepharitis. My union told me to get a letter of medical necessity as it is not on their formulary and for three weeks Ive been asking the office staff and they have been promising to e-mail me the letter and have not done so and have been jerking me around for 3 weeks every time I call they say they will remind the doctor but nothing. I believe the staff is poorly trained and dont even communicate to the doctor. My eye condition is getting worse and Im thinking of suing in small claims court as my eye condition is worsening.

      I have been attempting to obtain credit refund since January 2025. I have email from SightMD acknowledging the credit due. No payment had been received. I have spoken with their Escalation representatives repeatedly and have emailed repeatedly. No response to emails. Have been told it is under review and will be notified when it is processed. Have been told they put a stop order on original check supposedly sent to me but never received. Have been told different excuses every time I call. Basically I need to be patient and just wait. I have asked to speak with supervisor and was told I would be called back within 72 hours. This did not happen. I was told by escalation agent that they do not call people back as this is not their policy. Different story each time I call.

      At this time, I have not been contacted by SightMD regarding complaint ID ********.
      On Sunday 6/1 I contacted them via their website live chat . On Monday 6/2 they responded to my website message. Texted with ***** who apologized and stated he would transfer my complaint to upper management . I attached cell shots of conversation. There has been no communication from them since 6/2.

      There are two payments I made for ***** each. Proof of payment is attached. I have made 3 calls regarding this and no one can fine the payments I made. A balance keeps showing up on my account, one for a payment on 11/6, check # *****, the other on 12/12 a credit card payment online to ***********. This seems to be a continuing problem as a second amount due was added to my account after I had called to explain I made the 11/6 payment. The staff tells me I have to prove payment. I think I shouId not have that burden and they should become more accurate. I would like my account adjusted to the correct balance which as of 1/31/25 is zero.

      On 12/13/2024 I had an eye exam and a follow up to manage my glaucoma. They checked my vision as well and provided me with a script for glasses. I have called their billing department to provide my supplementary vision insurance for the vision exam. However, they reported that because I had a medical exam on the same day that they cannot resubmit to my supplementary vision insurance. They advised that they could not resubmit because the service had already been processed. They advised me to seek reimbursement from my supplementary vision insurance and pay my bill. They did not even take information about my supplementary vision insurance.

      two months ago I had a routine eye exam as a new patient at sight md. I told them at the time there was no co pay for yearly exam but still I got billed for the co pay. Not wanting any collection issues I paid the ***** knowing it was not correct and then called my health provider braven health. braven and I did a conference call with the billing center for sight md , told them the issue and nothing was ever done about it. I got no refund. braven re processed the claim clearly showing there was no co pay and paid sight md in full. many weeks went by I attemped to call billing and never got calls back. I finally connected with their so called office manager in the actual office of sight MD, ****** is her name. she assured me she concurred I was due the money back and I would have it in two weeks. a month appro went by, no check, I called her again, she apologzied she forgot my name to have the check issues. Ridiculous, it should have been generated auto when billing saw they got over paid period. so she then said you will have it by next friday. well that too was weeks ago. NO check so I started calling 9Am this morning to talk to her, she does not return calls or it goes to busy signal. her assisant said she would give her the message, no call back nothing. I finally got someone in the third party bilign **** who said NO we never did a refund check I will see you get it in about 4-6 or 8 weeks I think he said. I was FLoored No I am ont waiting another two months for a refund check, that would be almost FOUR MONTHS to get refunded money. Sight md has NO way to write them, they have no email or contact at all other than calling. the office manager ****** never follows up to see the check never went out. it is all unethical in my opinion and they are holding my money hostage so to speak. I am next filing complaint with ****************************** if they dont refund me within a week.

      They refused to give me my prescription for my new eyeglass. They told me I had to pay $50.00 to get the paper with my prescription. This is illegal.

      I saw a sight md eye doctor on 4/25/2024, at ********************************************************, for redness and swelling in my left eye. I was prescribed eye drops I later found out were similar to an eye medication I was allergic to. I called sight md's riverhead office and left a message with the receptionist and specifically told her the medication I am allergic to. I was told a new eye drop would be called into my pharmacy as sight md was unable to do so electronically. Sight md called in the medication I specifically told them I am allergic to. I called sight md again and was routed to a very abrupt woman who stated she did not understand the problem. This person did not provide her name. I called sight md several other times and was told the doctor was in surgery, the doctor would call me back and no other doctor was available to help me. They were aware I was in pain and concerned about my eye. After several days of calls with no help offered or medication ordered, I asked them for my co payment to be returned to me so I could go to another doctor for help. My call was not returned. Each time I called, I spoke directly to at least one person. End of statement.

      For the last six years, Ive been using SightMD ******* for my yearly check up. The last time I went was December 4 2023. I purchased new eyeglasses and the amount they charged me was $82.20. When I received the *** from my insurance company, I noticed that they overcharged me $25. I called them in December and was told by *** that I would receive the credit one week from January 5 2024. I called again on January ************************************************************************** a few days. I checked and nothing so I called again on February 23 and she said she sees the credit but it has an in process to my credit card but she would do it to do it immediately to this day which is March 2 I have received the credit. . I left messages for the supervisor of billing and have not heard from her. Ive been going to this place for over six years. My next step is contacting my credit card company and asked them to do a dispute for me. I did call on February 29 I believe and in as far as everyone agrees that I am due the $25 they were going to contact the billing supervisor to call me ASAP. Nothing as of yet and I have no more patience for them. I asked for the owner/manager of this company and they are not allowed to give names of these people to me. Its only $25 but to be told time and time again its just insulting and rude. I have to tell you SightMD you LOST a really good customer and your customer service is awful.

      Billing department refuses to submit a insurance claim to secondary insurance provider for date of service 3/13/2023.Billing department refuses to send a corrected claim with complete information to secondary insurance provider for 3/31/2023.

      Yes Sight MD has contacted me. They have resubmitted insurance claims but it is yet to be determined if they have done so correctly. Insurance carrier has verbally confirmed there are claims for both dates pending.
